Brent Strathdee-Pehi The older I get the more overrated I think Dre is. He did amazing work, but without those Parliament-Funkadelic tracks and samples he’d be nothing close to what he was. Muggs is too broad for most music fans, especially hip-hop fans

much love, Cypress hill was the first hip hop cassette, yes cassette tape that I had my dad buy me in fifth grade, circa 1991. Now that I am thirty five, I bluetooth cypress hill to my car radio. Here is something that they can't understand, peace!
I always loved Black Sunday and Temples of Boom. I always preach to people, the reason those albums are so legendary is that everyone contributed gold. But I have to say, the beats are the backbone and they always had such an incredible FEEL. I never grow tired of listening to what you guys have created. And while I understand that you can't and shouldn't stick to a formula, the shit that is coming out these days is just... soulless, in my opinion. (I don't mean you guys, but in general hip-hop). Isn't it crazy that I still put on an album that you guys released 25 years ago and still listen intently and still get goosebumps when I hear something I hadn't noticed before. It's like discovering genius over and over and over and over. Love what you guys do. edit: spelling
@@ozmosisjohn90garcia13 My fav is TOB and IV is a great album as well. Every CH album is different, different styles, influences etc., that's what I like the most about CH.

8:15 "we were all pissed off at that time" (when makin temples of boom)... exactly that is the reason why it is sooo good. Back then music was made out of emotions,..and you can hear that!! The pure essence of 90s hip hop.. i love it!!
OG showtime thought he was ready to die for this 🤣. DJ Muggs & Cypress Hill are some of the best in hip hop. Nothing came close to Muggs original skills & style. Total game changer & genius of sound! Respect 🙏
Great seeing you 2 together! legends..Totally agree...MUGGS one of the most underrated producers in hip hop...been down since 7A3! big up! p.s. that new cypress beat is wicked.look forward the new shit.

Respect to all the great DJ's and Producer's, but Muggs was and still is my favorite period. Cypress Hill is at the top of my list for favorite bands.
