Even though I love her in the show, I understand if she won’t come back. She’s getting really popular and honestly, they could write her off the of show and have it make sense. I do hope she comes tho, I love her songs and character.

It would make sense since she’s getting really successful in the music industry, and when you have that much success, music no longer is something you can do as a “hobby “ and from the looks of it she wants a serious music career

I haven't seen the show but I feel like Olivia should do whatever makes her happy. If that means stepping down from HSMTMTS, then so be it because, at the end of the day, we want to support her in every way we can and understand she may want to make music her top priority since she seems to be more passionate about being a singer-songwriter than an actress. Like she said, not like being both is bad, but I think she prefers singing over acting at this point so she should just do what makes her happy. :)

I wouldn’t be surprised, the only time she posted about the show this season was for the premiere and the rest of the cast posted each week for each episode and she’s been quiet abt it
maybe it is why she cried in ep12. She didn't feel that intense at the end of season 1.

I don't really get why she even joined the cast to beginn with. It looks right now like she doesn't care at all and she just want to leave. For me it looks like she thinks she is above everyone and doesn't want to be associated with HSM anymore, now that she had her breakthrough.
@@rapidlightning2841 well, when she joined at first (sometime in 2018), she wasn’t really known unless you watched disney channel, then when they started filming season 2, it was before she started writing the album then covid happened and she wrote some they resumed filming afterwards and she continued writing. I don’t think she knew it would blow up like this but yeah now she definitely seems over it
@@rapidlightning2841 i guess you don't understand how much pressure being in a disney show is. she gets perceived one way and can't live her life freely. she was 16 when she joined the cast, literally so young, and of course she cares, she's just under a lot of pressure. she's only 18, she can't have it all.
In the last episode she was really emotional. It almost felt like she knew that she wasn't returning and the way everyone ran up to her to comfort. She didn't post anything about the show so it's fair to say that she isn't interested in the show and probably isn't returning.
Although there’s no ‘main character’ she is definitely the main character of HSMTMS but personally I prefer hearing her music.

@@luvsoojins1816 only shortly after though, same way Olivia was doing a few episodes of HSMTMTS after drivers license dropped. But then Sam and Cat went on hiatus and got canceled so Ariana was able to focus fully on her music. And I assume the same will be said for Olivia now that season 2 is over. I feel like she might come back a few times though as a recurring character, but not as the main female lead anymore (which lucky for her & the show, it makes sense for her character’s storyline if she leaves).

I need a 3rd season of hsmtmts, and I need olivia rodrigo and the whole cast to be in it, it's the last thing I ask if you want to finish the series afterwards, but I think it deserves a good closed ending with all the characters, especially because this series has been very followed by everyone, but I respect what olivia wants to do with her career, and her music is amazing as is the whole cast

The most recognized sstar of this Disney's generation, but what I love the most is that she put herself on the map with her incredible writing skills. It's true that Disney gave her a hand, but she just started to shine by herself, she's a true talent.

Tbh I'm not surprised that she wants to leave HSMTMTS and I feel like Nini isnt the focus of the show like she was in Season 1 so her character leaving would make sense. It would still be really sad if she left but she has sm talent that it makes sense for her to focus on her music.

I saw it coming. I can't imagine how hard it must be to juggle an extremely successful music career and acting at the same time. I sincerely hope she can at least stay long enough to give her character closure, even if it only takes one episode, simply because I loved seeing her as Nini, and she basically plays the closest thing this show has to a main character. Whatever she chooses to do, I wish her the best :)

It sounds like she is trying to figure out what she wants to do - and the show lead is going to support her on whatever she decides. She is very fortunate in that in general, Disney is very supportive of its acts and lets them go free if that is what they want. The only exception that I know of in where they held the actress/singer to the end of their contract was Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. I don't think there are any others.

It makes sense, her role was diminished in season 2 and her music carreer is taking up, and she enjoys that better, it even makes sense for her character in the show, who has wider ambitions.

HSMTMTS wouldn’t ever be the same without Nini I’m really gonna miss her because I really love her character and how she writes her songs. But I support any decision Olivia makes I just hope we get to see Nini again soon in HSMTMTS.

Didn’t watch the second season but I feel like it was set up in season 1 she goes away to school, maybe even she goes to a school in Paris or nyc or something, the show can continue on without her but she may reaper in the series finale and get back with Ricky, because I feel like they were set up to stay but idk.
I never knew she was on Disney channel or Disney+. Just saw her on SNL performing and was like damn, "this driver's license song is actually really good, and the girl can sing." Became a fan ever since.

All her followers from her acting gave her a boost on her music streams. She had like 3 mil just from acting before she even put out music. Olivias loves hsmtmts and she’s not leaving cause it’s not “fulfilling”. She’s leaving because now that she has a hot music career she wants to spend all her time on that even though the cast from that show were there for her and with her way before she was anything.
At the end of the day it's just a job and employees quit everyday when they get something better.

I do love olivia rodrigo acting she the only reason why i watch it because of the acting and the music. it was bound to happen as torward the end of season 2 she wasnt really in that much scenes but i can understand why she prefers music .it is drifficult too focus on tours and music and acting which are completly drifferent things at the end of the day i dont care she does as long makes her happy ill look forward too her music but we should be greatful that she even in the seize at all like at least she is in the show for a bit so im grratful for it good 4 u miss olivia rodrigo
