Introduction to Peer Mediation

3 short sections to show how peer mediation works in schools. Mediation is a way of helping people explore, understand and resolve disputes without anyone being told off, told what to do or being punished. The people in dispute are helped by trained mediators (in this case school pupils who have been professionally trained) to express themselves and to understand others' points of view. Mediated resolutions are more likely to be kept as the parties in dispute have come up with the resolution themselves.
