- Amidst displacement and homelessness, Akram, who had lost everything due to her son's debts, had taken refuge with her elderly mother and pregnant daughter-in-law beside a telecommunications tower. The harsh life in the small guard cabin was their last hope. But today, as Akram was smoothing the floor of the cabin, a sudden knock on the door shattered the silence. The furious creditor had come, demanding his money. Akram pleaded for more time, but the ruthless man, instead of responding, set fire to their small tent-their only shelter. The flames rose high, hopes turned to ashes, and Akram and her mother watched with tear-filled eyes as their fate burned before them.
The fire spread in the blink of an eye. Akram ran, but it was already too late. The thin fabric of the tent could not withstand the flames, and within moments, their small home vanished into smoke and ash. Her elderly mother stood beside her, tears streaming down her face, their gaze fixed on the yellow and red flames that consumed their hopes. A bitter silence settled between them-only the crackling of the burning tent echoed in the wind…
