AtariLeaf agreed! It looks like in most cases the 1983 North American video game industry, and market crash was probably a reason behind the lack of release. Perhaps combined with Coleco letting it become known they were exiting the business.
This looks really good! I like that all the characters are multicolored. Too bad it wasn't released! Maybe they decided they couldn't release a flowerless version of Dig Dug. :) Nice kill at 3:48 as well.
This looks even better than the Atari 5200 and 7800 versions. You should check out Classic Game Room HD's review for those. The main thing that is missing in this prototype is the main music.
Well managed flicker in older games was never a problem. Poorly managed flicker on the other hand... that was the bane of many good games all the way through the 16bit era.
