Well, I googled and read all the comments here & I still can't figure out what the "Stonemaier tax" is either! So you've done it, you hooked me in for another video! Well played Dusty, well played. 😆
Played the new expansion for the first time at PAX after getting my copy last week and loved it, the masterpiece cards are awesome and between them and the cave I had a crazy score (100+ point lead over the other players who weren’t taking full advantage of the new features).
I know about the Stonemaier cats, but not the Stonemaier tax. 😅🤗 I have to pay more for SM products coming in to Sweden this year than the previous years. But I see the same things with my KS-packages so I don’t think it’s related to SM. Was the annoyed Twitter-person an EU-citizen? Could have something to do with that. Wild guess tho… 😅😃
The Stonemaier cats are the more fun of the two anyway. :) It’s not a tax in the way most of us know a tax, but I’m looking forward to framing the discussion this weekend.
I got my copy of the expansion yesterday along with the Terra Mystica realm. I played the Terra Mystica realm a couple times already but not Tapestry yet. I have no idea what a Stonemaier tax is.
Let me know how you like the Terra Mystica realm. And I hadn’t heard Stonemaier Tax before either so I guess it made sense that I didn’t talk about it before but after it was explained to me I understood what they were saying and it ties into future Stonemaier products so I wanted to share.
@@TheMillShow I liked Terra Mystica quite a bit, but I think it may be hard to mesh with certain other realms unless you roll the 2 and 6 very early in the game. That is just a first impression & I look forward to playing it more. I also look forward to seeing other realms in the future. I'll be watching for your video about the tax as I'm curious now what it is.
I won't be picking this expansion up for a while. I blew a lot of my boardgame budget on the Skyrim Adventure Board game and Lords of Ragnarok campaigns on Gamefound. I like the idea of increasing scoring. I'm always scoring super low. But I'm not the brightest in my group lol.
I’m not the brightest in my group either, which is saying something since I’m the oldest by far. Lol. Please let me know what you think of Skyrim when it comes in. I’ve had mixed experience with the games based on video game IPs so I was afraid to hop in for Skyrim, but it sure looked pretty cool.
@@TheMillShow Will do. My game group is consistent enough that big campaign games go over really well. I like the concept of a big open world to get lost in. I just started a new game of Skyrim on console, after ten years it's still got it!

Oooh, maybe that’s the cost (or tax) on watching this video! lol My evil plan may be working! :)

That’s a pretty great lead! Well done. I love the new art track and masterpiece cards. They add some really cool benefits, imo.
It's the tax that's applied to every sale to cover the chocolate of the week outlay on the Live stream. 🤷♂️
This is the best answer I’ve heard. lol
Never heard of a Stonemaier tax

Making us wait to learn what the Stonemaier tax is?! You coward! 😉
:) Have you DM’d me on Twitter before? lol
@@TheMillShow Luckily for you I don't have Twitter! 😄
