Its difficult to advise from afar however it is usually the gearing around the window that becomes worn and fails and once this starts to occur it starts to stop pulling the window sash back into place on the locking points and sealing properly. What you certainly will not be able to do is just replace the sash as the old profile used will no longer be able to be sourced and any new profile will not be compatible and will prevent the frame and sash meeting together and closing properly. In a nutshell it always becomes a decision to re gear everything with new parts or purchase a complete new window Hope this helps Allan upvcspares4repairs

A couple of our tilt and turn windows in the conservatory on the window side seem to bow out in the centre near the handle. Is that something that can be repaired or does it require a new sash? Thanks for the videos.

@@farmerdan7274 I found out that the main front mechanism will come off with a bit of careful screw removal and the gearbox can be replaced with the window still on its hinges.
