Rumble battled his illness without crying on social media , without complaint. He went out like a man . He was a true warrior .
Same with Elias Theodorou. Both battled cancer and didn't seek pity, even when they had to have known the end was near. Mad respect for both of them

Man this is a rough one. Rumble was one of the scariest dudes to ever step in that cage while also being a gentle giant outside of it. When you see such a strong tough guy lose a battle with illness its super humbling. Tell your family and friends you love them every day because you never know if you'll see tomorrow. Rip Rumble your legacy will keep you around forever 🙏🏼

Bruh, I can't even describe the feeling I got when I heard AJ passed away. I never met the person or don't know him but I grew up watching this man give his all blood sweat and tears. Sad to see this man leave us. Rest Easy

I was just saying this to my friends, I am weirdly way more sad about this than I thought I would be. It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would when I never met the guy, never saw him fight. Wild that he had this effect on me just from watching his bouts. Tells me he made an impact. My wife came home and I actually had tears in my eyes over it... I cant explain it.
I feel the exact same way. Was just telling my wife how crazy it is that hearing about the passing of someone I’ve never met but simply idolized can have such a saddening impact. RIP Rumble.

Many regards to Anthony's family and the MMA family. He was a very explosive fighter in the cage and wasn't afraid to show his emotions and empathy for his opponents win or lose. Rest in peace, Rumble.
This is the saddest news I grew up watching this guy fight he was a legend in the octagon and out no matter what win or loss he held his head up like a man never complained and always fought for his spot. From welterweight to heavyweight the man was terrifying, but then you heard him speak,a genuine funny human being,part of me always wanted to see him back in the ufc.

My dream in life was to get in the UFC, I was training more than 4 hours everyday. I trained MMA and Daido Juku at the same time.
I trained at the same gym in the end as Khamzat and Gustafsson. Then all of a sudden I start getting pain in my body to the point I couldn't train anymore.
Then it showed I developed arthritis in BOTH my shoulders at the age of 24 only. I forced myself and kept training in pain but couldnt do it.
When I went to the hospital, they thought I only wanted to have pain meds (because I had previous drug felony conviction).
33 years old now, untreated for my illness.
Life is cruel

Damn… months ago I tagged his name to a post where I wrote that I could still see him becoming a 2 division champ & he liked it. Had no idea he was battling a illness. One great trait about this Man was that “Rumble was very Humble”. He would actually put time in to read threw & comment/interact with his fans. Rip 🙏

This story is nuts, Anthony had the greatest retirement speech I've ever heard (when he retired after his second fight with DC) and would write a yearly journal entry to talk to his grandfather whom passed away. Will miss ya Anthony, hope you finally get to catch up with your grandfather!

Went through his instagram and seen him stating if he wanted the actual illness he was going through public he would’ve made it public himself but I can’t help but be curious and hurt. He deserved so many more days. Very tough day for the entire MMA community and the world as a whole.
