Just wanted to say that the new camera setup is greeaat! I love how symmetrically everything is. I think there's just some more light missing to the perfect video quality. nice badass sword btw.
I truly enjoy your playing. There are hundreds of over drives out in there cold world. I have a couple of them, my amp or amps get over driven it sounds over driven. Every time it sounds like that it sounds the same. Overdriven is overdriven. Naturally or by a pedal it sounds like an overdriven amp. Two over drives is one to many I think. From my Boss over drive or my Fulltone over drive. I have a Klone Centaur clone that has special things happening before it hit pay dirt so I use it in a modest way.
Surprised no body else picked up on the sneaky deep purple reference "knocking on my back door" Nails the Blackmore tone with the oswald strat, Top playing as always Dave!
Dave just wanted to let you know I don't know what your plans are for the future as far as music goes but if you just post videos on UA-cam and demo stuff that's cool you know that's awesome but I hope UA-cam gives you the break that you deserve and you go on to bigger and better things because you've got the talent my man and you've got the sound and you know what you're doing.
Thanks for answering! I've been considering getting a clean solid state amp and a handful of pedals like this one to achieve a variety of sounds. I'll have to consider this one for gainy Marshall tones.
thank you so much, for the help you providing us! still, i have some doubts... this pedal can emulate a silver jubilee no matter what amp you're using? does it work better with a marshall amp rather than another kind of amp?
Wow that is an amazing tone on that Les Paul what kind of delay were you using? You just convinced me to buy one of these pedals today been on the fence with it for a few days now and I'm buying one
It makes me frustrated hearing this beautiful guitar playing becus you should be selling out stadiums 😡 mannnn i love you bro fuckk your talents need to be heard all around the world 🤘🏽
Awesome video dave, good review and tones out of that pedal, do u think if I ran this pedal in front of my marshall dsl amp it would get me the slash sound, cheers
@@thedavesimpson You got it. I'm a Fender amp guy- so I had no idea if this was relevant or not. I just happened to remember this from a forum discussion I ran into while I was researching this pedal.
Hi Dave, I’m trying to get that iconic Slash tone. Which do you think would work better: the Jubilee pedal or the Slash Seymour Duncan pickups? Having the pickups installed on my Les Paul would be more of a hassle than simply buying the pedal, but which do you think would sound more like Slash’s tone? Thanks Dave. Big fan of your videos.
Hello mate, awsesome playing and review as usual, question though if you don't mind, does this pedal go ok with a ubescreamer in front of it to get more overdrive as i want it for the gnr tone but possibly a little more sometimes to.
hello dave.i have aquestion to ask you. please help me. dose the John frusciante's 1962 sunburst ST have a 1.625nut width ?and what the neck sharp, thank u
To get a better glassy Strat John F sound w the Alexander I think you need to crank the Volume and have the Gain on the lower side; and also turn the guitar volume knob lower when the Gain knob is pushed. Great review!
Yo dave why dont you sell a few of them amps and get one you really like dude i know you said you dont like tube amps but you really liked the jubilee i bet you could get something reliable and sick that would sound great. I haven't seen every video you've made but all them combos ive never seen you play them sell some and upgrade or get some studio equipment you should seriously get into the studio session world your a good player dude you should check out tim pierce thats how hes made his living and he's living large you should really invest in yourself man ...or maybe im wrong and you play all of em wtf do i know anyway...nice playing dude keep it up
Hey Dave. Like your vids and I also have been chasing John's tone for quite a while. I've noticed though that when you refer to 'John's tone' it seems like you're specifically talking about the Slane Castle sound. Of course, these things are subjective, but to me his tone on Slane is a lot less fat, punchy, and 'oomphy' than the tone he got on the 2007 tour (I read somewhere that this has to do with him mic'ing up the B-cab instead the A cab in that era). That 2007 sound is my holy grail:) So to me it sounded way better when you turned the treble all the way off on the pedal. This vid represents the tone I'm talking about really well: ua-cam.com/video/CnCmM0STdCY/v-deo.html Was wondering if you agree with this/know what I mean and what your thoughts are on his 'tone evolution'
Phenomenal intro!!! Thank you Dave!
things just keep getting better, first the kat review and now the jubilee, i picked one up a couple weeks back. fantastic review of a fantastic pedal
I love u man. Somebody has to be a rolemodel. Might as well be you.
thanks for the super-thorough demo and all the variation, Dave; just grabbed one of these -- looking forward to messing with it!
I guess this video was shot way back when you didn't have your boss katana so you needed an actual one in the background.
Wow! That blues jam that strats around 11:20 is CRAZY good! Thank you for inspiration, Sir! :)
You took me back to '91 there dave
Awesome playing and demo, love the shirt,Cheers
You did a great job reviewing this pedal. You should start doing more reviews.
Just wanted to say that the new camera setup is greeaat! I love how symmetrically everything is. I think there's just some more light missing to the perfect video quality. nice badass sword btw.
Sounds pretty close to my real jubilee, great vid again!

Love seeing you playing some slash licks! Nice pedal:)
Awsome playing & tone, that pedal 'FN' rocks big time!!! I wonder how close I can get to that tone by going direct!?! Great job again Dave!!!!!!!!
Surprised no body else picked up on the sneaky deep purple reference "knocking on my back door"
Nails the Blackmore tone with the oswald strat,
Top playing as always Dave!
Many thanks for the Ritchie Blackmore set... top stuff :o)
Another cracking intro and video Dave.
you (ready)made it dave ;) cool pedal, cool demo! thank you!!!
i also think there are better pedals for jf tone. sounds close but not close enough in my opinion. pedal is cool anyway.
Thank you very much indeed. :)

Awesome video, best part was the Oswald Strat screaming out Ritchie Blackmore riffs....yummy!
This guy can really play!!!
dave really knows how to serve the song
Mint. I was hoping you'd get your hands on one of these to review.
Dave Careful... You might get too good... Nice
Yowza Dave! Rippin' good tone!

Hey, Dave! Sounds great, awesome review!
Amazing!
Dave, you're starting to look like you're about to go in to business selling amps.😁 Hope you're well. Hello to jo. More Jag!😉
great job broth!!!!!!!
Have you tried a silver jubilee? If so, how would you say they compare in sound?
I have and its very close indeed to the distortion channel. : )
Thanks for answering! I've been considering getting a clean solid state amp and a handful of pedals like this one to achieve a variety of sounds. I'll have to consider this one for gainy Marshall tones.
I love you man!!
Damn, I just ordered this pedal...
You are great. Subscribed. That Mistreated killed me.
Thank you very much. :)
Just ordered this pedal to go with my ac15, all the frusciante. Without buying a expensive silver jubilee
thank you so much, for the help you providing us! still, i have some doubts... this pedal can emulate a silver jubilee no matter what amp you're using? does it work better with a marshall amp rather than another kind of amp?
Ritchie Blackmore tone on Boss Katana??? Playing magnificent as always. Cheers, mate.
I'll see why I can do. : )
Oh, thanks a lot, mate. Cheers! :)
You are the Phil X of the UK!
Thank you very much. : )
Hey Dave, please demo the JHS Charlie Brown or the Morning Glory as well. 🙂
Wow that is an amazing tone on that Les Paul what kind of delay were you using? You just convinced me to buy one of these pedals today been on the fence with it for a few days now and I'm buying one

Wonderful playing! Do you have a treblebleed circuit in your Les Paul?
I don't have a treble bleed in the LP nopes. :)
Awesome video dave, good review and tones out of that pedal, do u think if I ran this pedal in front of my marshall dsl amp it would get me the slash sound, cheers
It may or may not matter, but this pedal is based off of the Silver Jubilee with the rhythm clip engaged.
That makes a lot more sense. Thank you for the info. : )
@@thedavesimpson You got it. I'm a Fender amp guy- so I had no idea if this was relevant or not. I just happened to remember this from a forum discussion I ran into while I was researching this pedal.
Hey Dave hows this stack on the joyo jackman? Great playing and tones man
No idea. Sorry.

Go for the pedal. That should do it nicely. :)
wich pedal was it? that Lizzy lick???
Hello mate, awsesome playing and review as usual, question though if you don't mind, does this pedal go ok with a ubescreamer in front of it to get more overdrive as i want it for the gnr tone but possibly a little more sometimes to.
Thank you very much and id does ok with a tubescreamer yeps. :)
Want one
hello dave.i have aquestion to ask you. please help me. dose the John frusciante's 1962 sunburst ST have a 1.625nut width ?and what the neck sharp, thank u
Its a vintage fender so its what ever that is. I've no idea what is though sorry. I'm a bit thick when it comes to that. :)
Dave Simpson Appreciated your reply so quickly, thanks
Dave, which one would you choose between a Vox v847 and a v847A?
I would go for the V847. :)
Thank you Dave. I bought the V847 A, but I made some mods in it. God bless you bro.

I did try that but wasn't happy with the result. Thank you for watching. :)

Feels man 😧
Guv'nor or Alexander Jubilee?
Guvnor.
at 37:50 sounds just like frusciant
