The reunion between Clementine and Kenny is one of my all time favorite moments in the TWD video game series! For most people in the fandom, finding out that Kenny was alive was quite a shock. But it was nice that at least just one member from the season 1 group besides Clementine was still alive.
I posted this in response to a comment but figured I'd post it for anyone, including Scoot, that may curious about how Kenny's relationship with Lee works in season 1. This might change how you view the game, 'spoil the fun' if you will, so don't look unless you want to. Basically, you can earn up to 12 points of friendliness with Kenny. Various choices add to your score, some more than others. Things like not siding with Lilly at the motor inn and killing the walker child in the attic score you 0.75, while things like putting his son down for him and dropping Ben at the belltower scores you 2 whole points. Things like defending his son from Larry in the pharmacy and helping to kill Larry scores you 1.5 points with him. How Kenny views Lee in the end is determined by whether or not he willingly went with Lee to search for Clementine. He will go with you unconditionally to search for Clementine if you've gained 9 points with him, and he won't go with you no matter what if you have 4 or less points with him. Between that space, you'll need to convince him. If he goes by choice, then he will remember Lee with fondness and camaraderie. If he chose not to go initially, but then had to after the boat was stolen, then he will have conflicting feelings about Lee, but respect him for some of the good Lee did for him. Scoot saying that Kenny hates him because of one disagreement is both right and wrong. It's the culmination of many smaller decisions put together. But after looking through his playthrough, I was able to determine that his final score with Kenny was 7.75, 1.25 away from Kenny being unconditionally loyal. In other words, one medium/strong choice away. I don't blame him for being salty, I'd be salty too. Dropping Ben would have done it. Funny enough, so would killing Larry lol
nah his ass was never with kenny on the important moments 7.75 is already high asf... his ass didn't even leave lilly lmao i'd guess its more like 4 points but i do know he got the positive neutral kenny idk why his trash ass couldn't say clem was his family 0 reason to be pssy all game not killing anyone but crash out like the lil kid he is when things don't go his way
that was actually so interesting and informative. i knew kennys relationship with lee would change based on the choices but i didnt realize how much wiggle room there was to convince him
I have to echo Hershel Greene’s sentiment from season 1. “You’re going to have to depend on the honesty of strangers to get by. And if those same people get to questioning yours. You’re in trouble” for me with these games I’m always operating on honesty is the best policy.
THE GOAT RETURNS! 1:47: Huh. The audio was weird during the stream, for some reason. I can hear it fine now. 4:07: Ben 2.0. Nick trying to put a little girl's life at risk because he feels sorry for himself. 24:32: Look at how Alvin reacted to that. 25:45: Those some yummy lookin' noodles. 51:20: KENNY!!!
You actually made the good choice at 1:21:18 in my opinion. You telling water that Nick is a good man saved his life since Walter would have let the zombie kill Nick if you didn't at 1:27:06. So you basically saved his life, Scoot
Would love to see you playing Detroit Become Human and The Wolf Among Us!! If you liked TWD I’m sure you’d like the second one a lot if you haven’t played it, plus we get to see detective scoot in action!
Hogwarts Legacy, Life Is Strange (All games cuz they are all bangers) Green Hell, Wolf Among Us. And usually The sims 4 is pretty fun to watch others play too. Especially if its the first time with the game. :D
Btw season one has the most impactful glitch in the series The relationships in these games is based on a point system Kenny’s system is bugged and ways the Larry choice weights more than it’s supposed 2 so if u agree with him every time outside of that he’ll argumentative the rest of the series Product of an old ahh game
I've seen the point system and how it works and it looks fine. I think the issue is that Kenny is just a petty guy. It's a character flaw of his, that he gets hung up on on personal things and doesn't see the big picture. A lot of the conversations involving Kenny post-Larry death are specifically scripted to reference whether you sided with him or not, and they often don't take into account whether you've been friendly with him at every other point or not(since he's still hung up on that disagreement/is grateful for your support in such a tough situation). The point system is not bugged, and Scoot saying that Kenny hates him because of one disagreement is not true. It's the culmination of many smaller decisions put together.
@ oh i’ve seen ppl describe it as a bug but i guess if the developers make what seem inconsequential add up as while as misinterpreting what a good and bad option for ur relationship is can make it seem that way
@@burner3703 Yeah, I myself think the point system could have been done better. I think there should've been more opportunities to earn points with Kenny, or at least make it so that he'll go with you unconditionally at 8 points rather than 9, because 9 is way too high(I did a playthrough where I sided with Kenny on everything, but because I killed the screaming woman in episode 3, didn't kill the walker in the attic, and didn't drop Ben, I still had to convince him). I don't blame people for thinking it's bugged, but it's really not, it's just done poorly.
@@burner3703 I actually decided to go and find out for myself how many points Scoot had accumulated by going through his playthrough, and the total amount of points was 7.75. He was 1.25 points off from Kenny being unconditionally loyal to him. I don't blame him for being salty, as he was one medium/strong choice away from being bros. Hell, dropping Ben at the tower would have done it.
Of course *I* would suggest you shell out the big money for Baldurs Gate 3. But that might be too big a series too soon... Perhaps Inscryption if you like card games. Spiritfarer if you’re looking to get emotional and somethin mostly story driven with fun mini games attached. Subnautica if you like survival (maybe horror if you’re scared of the open water). It’s got a good story and a sequel already. And ‘I was a Teenage Exocolonist’ [at least 2 lives, it’s a timeloop game that changes progressively each life] if you wanted to make at least one nerd happy, it’s darker than it looks, and it’s the only game I’ve gone out of my way to 100% (it’s got card games, friendship/dating mechanic, and choices that are LIFE OR DEATH).
I was wondering when you'd post this just earlier today, glad to see you're continuing to play! I know this game isn't super popular, but you should play No Straight Roads maybe? It's fun and full of music.
You should try the dark pictures series. They are choice based horror games (about 6 hours each), and essentially, all your choices determine whether each character lives or dies by the end of the "movie." Each one is its own thing, so you dont necessarily have to play them in a specific order. Though House of Ashes is the most popular.
You should play What Remains of Edith Finch if you want to ! For me it was a one playthrough kind of thing, where you'd want to play it all at once and get immersed in the tragedy.
if your still in the mood to play telltale stuff definitely try "tales from the borderlands", you dont need any knowledge of borderlands prior to playing it
