I have a 1999 E46. I installed everything correctly. I am connecting to the Bluetooth no problem and I can even skip songs with the arrows, but there is no sound coming from the car at all.

How is quality on phone calls?
I’m finding it impossible to get the harness back into the left corner. Do you have any specific advice? Did you use a tool?
I also had a very hard time getting the connector in place thats why its so important to release the white connector from the big one, I did not use any tools just persevearance. Hope this helps🙂
I can connect to it and play music but I can only hear the sound from one side of the car (right side). I tested on radio and both sides are playing fine. Confirmed with the balance settings and it seems that the left side are not audible.
Well thats surprising, have you verified your phone's sound settings to verify if the sound is stereo and not mono?
Hi would this work with my oem bluetooth? I have a 2006 and its has bluetooth conection for phone calls but its doesnt work for music, i wonder if both can be connected in same time
To be honest I don't really know, but I do think that the two systems are seperate units so if you have a standard buisness cd radio it could work...
Did your radio have 2 10pin connections on the bottom of the main connector?
No, I only had one white connecter for a cd player, the other one might be for navigation but i'm not sure🙂
do the controls on the steering wheel still work like skip song and volume up and down?
Given that the radio unit gets tricked into thinking that a cd exchanger is installed, all functions like volume and track selection should still be working and also the steering wheel buttons theoreticaly but I can't be 100% certain about that because my e46 doesn't have buttons on it's steering wheel...🙂
Salut, merci pour le tuto, cest bien utile! Par contre, le bluetooth fonctionne (mon téléphone s'y connecte) mais quand j'appuie sur "mode" la radio affiche "No tape" as-tu une idee de ce que pourrait être le problème? D'avance, merci :)
Est ce que sa le fait encore si tu appuie plusieures fois sur mode?
Si non je pense que l'adaptateur est mal branché ou défectueux, regarde bien si le petit connecteur est bien branché surtout😉
J'ai acheté l'adaptateur et je l'ai installé mais impossible de passer en mode CD (NO DISK), et si jamais j'insère un cd du coup c'est le cd qui est joué (je ne vois pas le bluetooth), tu sais d'où pourrait venir le problème ?
Sa dèpend si tu as une radio avec lecteur cd ou avec cassette comme moi, normalement le mode cd normal ne serviras pas pour la bluetooth, il faudrait que tu essaie d'appuyer sur "mode" plusieurs fois pour que sa affiche cd-01, si sa ne s'affiche pas sa doit être un problème de communication entre la radio et le module bluetooth🙂

Normalement sa devrait fonctionner avec toutes les radios de la e46 sauf celles avec un système de navigation 16:9, sinon j'ai un lien amazon dans la description avec plus d'infos🙂
Impossible pour moi de remettre le poste en place avec tout ces cables et la prise blanche est elle obligatoire detre remis en place ?
Je connais le problème, sa m'a pris beaucoup de temps pour remettre le poste en place moi aussi par contre le cable blanc qui était surement déja là c'est le cable de l'échangeur cd en option, sit tu n'as pas d'échangeur, il est inutile🙂

You won't have aux conectivity but you will have bluetooth🙂

What is the first wire you pulled out behind the radio do?
The first wire that I disconected was the FM radio antenna wire that goes to the rear window🙂

Yeah I know the pain... It also took me a long time to figure it out, thats why its so important to release the cd changer cable from the connector before pushing the unit back in place🙂
My radio doesnt have any other mode than radio and casette does this stil work?
Yeah me neither, but when you install the kit the car should recognize the device as a multi cd player wich enables it to function🙂

The white connector is the one that goes to the cd changer so its useless🙂

How were you able to make it fit perfectly back in I can’t seem to get my stereo back in 😢
I had the same issue when I was installing mine, I fidled with it for a long time before getting it to fit, there should be just enough space in the rear left corner to fit the conector and if you have a preparation connector for a cd changer try removing it from the big connector before pushing the unit in place. I hope this helps🙂

Have you tried switching modes already? Is it the same kit that I used? Sorry for the late response man, I wasn't able to see the comments untill now, I apologize.
@@_Project46_ Yeah it tells me "no disc" wenn i press the mode button. Im thinking of buying the original cd radio maybe it will work with that.
yeah I don't think its made for aftermarket radio's that may be why it didn't work. Good luck with finding the original radio then😉

I bought one, and say no disk ( it says before ) but after I switch about 3 times it connects.

I installed mine but the bluetooth keeps disconnecting. It will play the sound from my phone for a second, and then its like it restarts. Maybe a faulty module? 😢
It could certainly be a faulty module, it never happened to me before, maybe a compatibility issue with your phone?
