Hello! I have just bought this dash camera today. The dash cam is 70mai M300, the quality is great, the resolution is great. But I have one problem it won't auto turn on when I enter my car/turn the ignition on. I have to manually click the button for it to start working, the camera is plugged in to the car's cigarette lighter. Any help?

No, it will not damage the dashcam. It is built to withstand that heat and will work well.

Wifi hotspot function is not required to record. The camera will always record video when its turned on and there is a sd card inserted inside. You dont have to connect your smartphone to dashcam.

If your smartphone is auto-connecting, then, open the WiFi settings and open the dashcam wifi and click on 'forget network'. It wont connect again Unless you enter the password again.

I have a question regarding the electrostatic stickers that come with M300. If i use this sticker and attach the dashcam, how easy it will be to remove the camera in future?
Very easy. Just pull out the sticker and the dashcam will come out with it.

If you instantly transfer the sticker and stick ot somewhere else(glass or its original wrapper) it will be usable again. If you leave it out and it catches dust etc, the attachment wont work well.

the charger has to be connected all the while when car is running?
1. Doesn't need the internet at all. Also, not needed to connect to a smartphone evertime. Only needs connection to change any settings
2. Yes you can switch off the camera by removing the power port. For switching off only mic, you can do that via settings.
3. Dashcam needs power to run. So it has to be connected to charger whenever you want to keep it running.

The mount looks like gopro mount. Can this dashcam be mounted to any action camera mount?
I haven't tried it on a GoPro yet, but probably yes.

I'm having some trouble with this feature. The dashcam turned on automatically when I plugged it in the first time while installation... But now when I turn the car on, the dashcam doesn't turn on itself. Is there any setting that I need to enable for this?

Is it necessary to always turn on the app before driving? The main purpose of the app is to just monitor the angle?
Not at all. You never need to turn on the app once you install the dashcam. The first time, you may not have aligned the camera properly with your hands, and that's why to confirm proper orientation, you have to use the app. You need not do that as well if you are very sure of your adjustment.

Not from anywhere. You need to be within the wifi hotspot range of the dashcam to view live recording.
Hi, I have the same camera. I am having one issue. I have Apple CarPlay in car. So when I connect CarPlay, it’s dashcam stops working and vice versa. How can have both of them connected at the same time, please advice.
You can't. It can connect to only one thing at a time.

No. Only needed to connect if you want to change any settings. Otherwise, fit and forget.

Try formatting the sd card via the 70mai app. Login to the app and open dashcam settings. You will find the format option in the the bottom.

I recently bought it. But when i set it up in app and set the angle only thing im seeing in app is take photo or choose from album. Whenever i take photo. Its saying couldn’t take pic. Further im not seeing any 1 min recorded clips anywhere in app. All folders are empty. U should have extended video till recording of video and how to see or download it on app
Please read the documentation properly and follow the steps provided there for installation and 1st time use.
You need to format the memory card the 1st time before you can start recording.

I recommend that rather than hardwiring, you can use a powerbank to power up the dashcamera when the car is turned off. It gives you more flexibility and convenience.

As my 12v car adapter outlet Port wasn't working I thought the adapter which came with camera must be faulty and I bought new adapter. Surprisingly the shop keeper told me to plug out adapter every time when car is not in use ? It this approach is only to make sure the adapter doesn't drain out the battery or fuse doesn't get burned out or its something else ?
Please confirm.
The voltage in the usb port is not sufficient to run the dashcam. And regarding the adapter, it doesn't drain the battery unless connected to any device. So leaving it in the car (without any device connected) wont cause any issues.

Sir do I need to switch on the dashcam manually everytime after I start the car? I installed this same dashcam in my car but it doesn't get in automatically. I have to press the centre button everytime. I did not find any settings to change in the app too. PLEASE ADVISE how to change this.
No you don't have to switch on the dashcam manually everytime. It is supposed to turn on automatically as soon as the car stars (provided it's connected to the 12v adapter port with proper connection). If it's not turning on, better to apply for a replacement or register a complaint to their service support

Does it work only when we are in sitting in the car? Would the cam record even when the user with the phone is not in the car?
It works as long as its connected to the power socket of the car and the engine is turned on. It has no relation to the user or the phone. The phone is used to connect to the dashcam only to alter any settings if necessary. Otherwise you never have to connect it to the phone ever and it will keep working forever.

If you are within the hotspot network of the dashcam, about (10-20meters) and the dashcam is turned on, then yes you can watch it live on your smartphone. If you are out of range, you cannot.

If your car is on, and the dashcam is connected to its power source, yes, it keeps recording. If car is off, no recording.
can you download the full length video?
Video is recorded in 1min files. So you have to download those individual files and then stitch them together using a video editing software if you need a full length video.

You mean inside the cabin? Yes, if you mount the camera using a suction mount (available separately), you can rotate the camera towards the cabin and record inside.

Remove the sdcard from the dashcam and insert into your pc/laptop and access the recorded files via file explorer
How many hours can be recorded. Before it will be deleted the first one
Depends on the memory card capacity. I use a 64GB card and it usually gives me about 5-6hours of footage before the loop recording begins.
