Thank you for this. I work for the DOD as an ISSO/Network Specialist. I've been in the field for two years. I'm just starting to learn RMF now as it wasn't required in my previous positions.
The select controls selections are based on the level of high water mark, either it's low, moderate or high. Then you select hybrid control for that system categories.
This is an excellent video! I've been working as an Cyber Security Analyst for about 3 years and want to progress to an ISSO role. I found this video really helpful. Thanks!!!!
Bruce, here we go again, another excellent video explanation. What you explained in about 5 mins to the end of the video, I just realized it this month.
Amazing video. What a great breakdown of the NIST SP 800-53 and the specific pieces that go into it. Was not aware of how well it translates to other frameworks as well. This gives me more confidence for the ISSO role I'm starting here soon! Thanks.
Thank you. I am interviewing for an ISSO job tomorrow, this has been extremely helpful!

Great Stuff, keep them coming!
Thank you for this excellent presentation. quick question ....please does every organization required Top Secret clearance for ISSO role ?
No. not all require a TS or secret. All require some sort of background check. most need public trust.
What video would you recommend that breaks down NIST the best ?
Thanks Bruce🙏🏾
Great video 🙌🏾
I did this job while active duty . Somedays meh , other days hell depending on how much was previously documented about the systems .
This!
I would like to break in the field but it’s pretty difficult
