    Post-filming update: By the end of the day, I found that the Edgefull hair fibers had stayed put, and everything looked pretty much the way it had looked when I finished filming. I should note that I did not sweat, nor was I in any inclement weather, after the product was applied.
    The fibers were removed easily from my hairline with my makeup remover and facial cleanser, though I did find it a bit messy (fibers wound up on my hands, around my sink, etc.). More than anything, I was very impressed with the "before and after" images, which I did not see until I was editing the video! This product made a massive difference in the appearance of my hairline/fivehead, and I will definitely be continuing to use it.
    Though I will primarily be leaving my edges the hell alone, I'm happy to have been introduced to this product, so that I can use it on the occasions when I want to have my hair fully up or pulled back, and still feel completely confident. Thanks again to Marsha at Edgefull for introducing me to this product, and sponsoring this video.

    I'm not sure why some people insist on expressing "concern" (which is really just thinly veiled shade) about something as trivial as someone else's edges. Hairlines vary just like body types, eye color, curl patterns... etc. There is no "normal" way for edges to look. People on the internet can be so petty in the worst way. That being said, this does seem like a cool option for anyone who is self conscious about their edges!

    • @nappyheadedjojoba
      @nappyheadedjojoba  6 років тому +78

      Agree! It's never concern, it's an insult. The internet provides people with just enough anonymity to be far more petty and rude than they would ever be otherwise!

    • @rachybaby72
      @rachybaby72 4 роки тому

      If your hairline is broken off because your treatment of them was rough, there is actually a normal way for your hairline to look. 🤷🏾‍♀️
      Having said that, I don't care about other's "edges", I'm just pointing out that there is 'normal'.

    Ok so this product is really neat! And I agree that you could use it mainly when you put your hair up. Furthermore, I've never understood how some people "go natural" but still want slick, full, and perfect edges? Especially us 4C gals. Mind boggling really.

    I find the obsession American’s (black) have with edges fascinating. I personally love the “untamed” look non-slicked edges have. Even when they have that soft fuzz that can happen when it’s up.

    • @nappyheadedjojoba
      @nappyheadedjojoba  6 років тому +77

      It's so strange. I don't know where the obsession with controlling edges came from, but it's here. I still rock my fuzzy edges, just like I did when I was a little girl, and my mama was doing my hair, haha. The fuzz looks normal on me, whereas the "groomed with gel and a toothbrush" look does not compute.

      nappyheadedjojoba I think they are obsessed with hair texture, your individual hairline displays "our" natural texture. These over pasted down baby has gotten ridiculous. Just because people hate to see a kinky piece of hair along the hairline.

    I love your channel and hair because it's beautiful and well taken care of. Also your accent and because you speak English eloquently. The insensitive comments about your edges are probably from people with short damaged. Don't listen to them. We don't have the same porosity nor hair length but I love your channel because you've mastered how to take care of your hair hence the length. It pisses me off that people make stupid comments that exclude instead of include all of us who are natural. You DON'T NEED ANYTHING EXTRA. Your beautiful the way you are.

    My high puff is my go-to hair style after an old twist out. This product will come in handy! I didn't notice my thin edges until after I became natural. Castor oil doesn't seem to help. When I put my hair up, I keep the hair at the temples out from the rest, and just pin it up using bobby pins to ease the tension. Btw...red lip is gorgeous💕💕💕

    Alright, who said that we need to have full, thick edges anyway? The reason why we call them edges or baby hairs is because they’re comprised of velus hairs which are naturally very thin and fine. I hate that people leave stupid comments like that and I also hate that we’ve come to believe that we need edges as thick as the rest of our heads. That doesn’t make any sense. Mini rant over. I’m just glad we got another video from you and we were blessed with this look.

    I had my edges pulled out when I was about 8 or 9 back in my homeland Ghana by a braider and I didn’t know it will not grow back if I didn’t do anything about it at that age. I lived with my auntie at the time so she could care less about my hair. I’m 34 now and I’ve been trying to grow it back naturally for a decade. I saw your friend Michelle talk about tamanu oil on her channel a while back. I think I’ll try that along with microbladding to see what happens. Wish me luck.

      Elsie W brush your hair with bristle brush a soft one. I shaved my hair a few months ago and every day I brush my hair for few minutes and then I apply a moisturiser. I bought bristle brush without a handle for use 15 pounds from Kents bristle brush from UK. My hair line was also pulled by hard braiding but now it's slowly growing back where the hair stopped growing. And sleep with a durag or a silk scarf.

    • @elsf

      i sleep with a satin scarf, durag, and the slap. I massage my hair line at least 5 times a week. I don't brush my hair around my edges because i don't have much there. Maybe i should. i also moisturize it with water when it feels dry. That hasn't seemed to work which is why i want to try derma roll my hairline. I haven't tried it yet because i need something to sanitize the derma roller. The only alcohol i'm finding in store is 70% isopropyl alcohol.

    The first side you applied actually looked great..... I have “struggle” edges also but yours aren’t bad..... I wish I had that thick full head of hair of yours..... It’s beautiful and so are you.... God bless.

    Haters will alway try to tear you down! I have watched several of your videos and never even noticed until watching this. You speak with such confidence and authority! Edges that's all they got!😂 Keep doing what you do its very informative. Then you got a sponsorship for this video 👏👏👏

    Yup, I have a edge problem and have tried the usual castor oil, emu oil, etc. nothing seems to be working. I have tried something like this in the past and it looked fine. The comb guide looks very handy. I haven't used it for a while, but will start using it again, now the sun is starting to shine! Thanks for the video.

    I was inspired by you to be gentler on my edges. Now I separate out my edges....bun the rest...the use a bobby pin to loosely secure the edges into the main hair. Much less tension. Thank u xx
    Oh I also use mascara amd/or use eyebrow dye to darken my edges....all the tricks ;)

    Use essential oil twice weekly. I bought a mixed kit from Amazon, I think it had a mixture of 12 or more different types. I mixed them all together and I didn't dilute the mixture with water the first week. You just need to add some to your edges twice weekly. Don't overdo it though. As much as it stimulates growth, it can break your hair off. I had problems with my edges for years until I used it. Once you see hairs begin to grow, just use it monthly and dilute with water moving forward.

    What is the big damn deal about these edges??😲 I swear people are ridiculous. The people who are being so rude and concerned with your edges are probably the most unhealthy people. They probably care more about hair than the health of their bodies. Probably smoking, drinking, and eating McDonald's everyday and have the audacity to be nasty to others. You are absolutely gorgeous and seem very kind. Keep up the good work. We love you and your content😍

    We`re our own worse critic, so it seems as though my hairline is racing to the back of my head. It`s thinner than the rest of my hair, but I`ve made peace with it, so it`s definitely not serious enough for me to consider hair transplant; however; these fibres are a great non-surgical option. Thanks for sharing!

    I am a sister in the thin-edges family! The product looks very natural on you; I think your application was great (LOL re: the Jermaine Jackson reference). In 1994, my edges were almost all smooth skin; I grew them back with some potion I bought from my local beauty supply store (similar to Nioxin). Now, there not as sparse as ‘94, but still thin. I’ve made my own concoction to treat my edges, and other low-density areas. Thanks for your informative (and funny) posts.

    I love your videos. You have a new subbie.
    I was born with thin edges too. I'm on day 6 of taking down 24-inch long 14 year old dreadlocks without cutting so I'm noticing my edges even more.
    You tube obviously played a big role in my awareness of the hairline difference so I'm quite encouraged by how beautifully you rock your hair.
    As I begin my journey to growing loose hair just as long as my dreadlocks I'm looking forward to more ideas from You. Thanks for the insight.

    Oohh look at the beautiful fro! Happy the product worked for you! I relate to having fragile edges-two particular spots revolt at any sign of tension or stress or digestive or dermatological flare. Because of that, I use aloe weekly and do not incorporate them into my locs-they just free and chillin. I'd love to be a board member of your nonprofit #savetheedges 😋

    Same girl, same. I just moved to a new city and needed to find a new hairstylist and, of course, I have to explain my edges to any new hairstylist and they want to give me all kinds of advice. I am back to doing my own hair. People don’t understand that sometimes edges are thin because they have ALWAYS been thin. Get off my back.

    Please don't allow the opinions of others to cause you to feel self conscious about ANYTHING! No one's opinion has the power to change anything concerning your life but God so don't let what others have to say write upon you 💜! I personally think that the product application gave a pretty decent realistic look but honestly I thought that your edges also looked great just as they were. Stay strong sis and walk boldly just as God made you💪😊

    You look simply perfect with your natural hairline, but I definitely understand the way people have spoken to you about it. I have experienced the same thing and just like you, my grandmother and my mother never had good hairlines, neither does my aunty or her mother, so it's genetic. Also, my mum had a very smooth bald spot just like yours in her hairline, but hers is bigger. I too was never self conscious about my edges, I didn't even know I had a problem until I noticed people always staring at my hairline whilst talking to me and also my friends and cousins kept telling me products to try to grow my hairline. Obviously nothing has ever worked. Mine though is a combination of genetics and traction alopecia from keeping braids in way too long. I've tried this product before and ended up giving up. I moved on to black eye shadow then another type of black eyeshadow which I think worked best, but I feel even more self conscious with it on. I just wish people could stop staring at me.
