- A very private person Lord #RichardAttenborough here speaking on the importance of education, his brother #DavidAttenborough and the film #Gandhi at the University of Leicester on being made a Distinguished Honorary Fellow at the University. The Lord at his witty best in one of his last public outings at the end of last year. These are excerpts from that speech.

Lord Richard Attenborough was a GIANT in the field of acting and filmmaking. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to watch his films in the theaters and be able to see his genius at work. He lived to be 90 years old, but I wish he could have lived to be 200 years old (in good health, of course).

These two brothers didn’t waste a second of their lives both leaving a huge impact on our English culture .
What a beautiful statement. Richard was almost brought to tears remembering that mother he spoke of. I was just remembering Richard after watching Jurassic Park and watching his performance as an adult I realized how much of a treasure he was to witness in that film as a child.
