I hope you all enjoy our video! It was so fun working with my sister on it. Thanks SO MUCH Maisy🥰 Can’t wait to see what else we make together in the future!
You're so inspiring in many ways. I was always dreadful about the web-design and kept running away from it. Coding felt like a chore, and it was overwhelming in many ways. Watching your video, seeing you calmly explain the process, my confidence is rising, and I can feel myself developing a joy to learn to code. Perhaps discovering your videos was all I needed to break through my inhibitions. Thank you for making yet again an amazing video.
hi tina! thank you so much! i felt very similarly when i learned coding in school, and just didn't feel happy or inspired to do it. i love how you describe it as feeling like a 'chore', because that reminds me of how i felt too. but i think what really changed things for me, is intersecting my creative passions into what i build - and that made the experience of coding wayyy more fun and entertaining for me. thank you so much for your comment :) and best of luck! excited to hear your journey and see what you create
Some things i’ve learned: 1. Always have an idea! This is coming from someone who’s lost and just do things just because. It’s beyond frustrating too when it doesn’t come out the way you want it too. 2. Take your time! don’t rush it. 3. Make sure you have something you want to take a way from it! 4. Don’t beat yourself up you’re doing good! 5. Simply just have fun! even if you don’t complete a website fully or have no idea what you’re doing that’s okay, have fun with it!

You make development look so easy. I'm getting my feet wet as a web developer and am really struggling. Yet somehow when I watch your videos, you make me want to try harder and really work at it.
it came out sooooo good!! I interned this summer and worked with reactjs and I would love to eventually do front end engineering also with design. I just wish I had the eye for design and was able to draw!
I relate so much to your dilemma with combining your creative side with such a logical one. I am so glad I discovered you! I’m inspired by what you’ve accomplished
I love this so much! I kinda felt before that maybe coding isn’t for me and there is no way I could love it since I loved designing more and I was not willing to learn coding before because it drains me. But who would’ve thought I could give coding a chance, I think it is very fun once I get to truly bring my UI/UX designs to life with code. Thank you so much for this series! I love every second of your videos, it is relaxing at the same time I could learn a lot of things from it, plus your voice is very very soothing! 😊😊
Hi Desiree! I'm so happy you enjoyed Episode 2, and that you watched it after Episode 1! To be honest when I first started coding, I felt exactly like how you describe. But I think the better you become at designing, you start to design with the mindset of "how will i build this too?". Overtime, this practice makes you better at creating designs that can be easily translated into code. Your designs become smarter. And, vice versa. Your code can be structured and built to easily put out designs. I'm so happy you watched my video, and thank you so much for your sweet comments! Best of luck and always don't hesitate to ask questions!
This was so thoughtfully made and I love how you created everything on the website down to the color scheme. I hope to use this as inspiration in designing my own unique portfolio website. Thank you for this ^^
Hiyeeee! I just want to say that you’ve inspire me to really push and pursuit my dream of doing app development and UI/UX design. I’ve had this passion since I was young unfortuntely, I chose a different path but I ended up as an app QA, which is within the same space. But I really wanna go beyond that and do something I really want, since I am also an artist. Thank you for your videos, they are not only relaxing but very inspiring.
I hope there's full tutorial on how you develop your site including how did you do the animation video as well as the picture you used for the website.✨
I have no reason to build a website right now, but this reminds me of my middle school phase where I was obsessed with designing websites. I'm definitely going to try that again haha

This is the best walkthru making web process. Also, it is inspiring me to go on web dev even tho I'm still struggle with css layout UU. One day I will do some web that I'm proud of :D
@6:52 Ditto I was in college already graduated in 2007 and haven't done anything with my Info Tech degree. 2yr degree I didn't take it seriously I just wanted the degree. I knew I wanted to design, just couldn't catch my footing and that's because I was involving myself in situations I had no business dealing in, I had no focus...it was on all the wrong things. Its funny because I think about it now with this new lease on life like.....😦😳 this is what my teacher was trying to get through my hard head! I had to learn hard valuable lessons to come back full circle. I understand why it all happened though. I have to start from the beginning and I'm exited about this new found self love journey 🤗🥲. I'm making progress. I apologize for the long comment just sharing some of my story. You're super dope and I admire you and your talents how organized you are. You're just a whole vibe! I've been following you since you started your channel. Thank you for being you and so inspirational to me and to others. Happy Holidays to you and You're family ❤💐🦋 God bless you Maisyleigh you are incredible 🙏🏾🥰👋🏾
You are amazing! I discovered your channel yesterday and I can’t stop watching your videos ☺️ As a software developer myself, you inspire me a lot in designing my own portfolio as well. Great job!
Hi Maisy, I love love your channel! This video was reallllly cool and feels exactly like what I want to do as a career. I was wondering if you could talk more about how you got to where you are right now. Normally you hear people are ux/ui designers OR front end engineers, you don’t normally hear they are both…and for those who are both I’ve heard it’s more of a budget/forcing extra responsibilities rather than a career path to take. I’m practicing code right now through the Odin project and I feel like it’s a good fit for me but I also think I would like to do something creative as well. I’m someone who doesn’t have experience in either (I come from a healthcare background) so when I talk to others who are engineers or designers they feel that I’m trying to learn/do too much. What has your career path looked like? I would love to hear more in a future video if that’s possible.
Hi Stephanie! I’m so happy you enjoyed this video and that it inspired you! I talk a bit about how and why I became a frontend engineer and designer at 6:29 of my video. It’s definitely true that you don’t hear often that people do both. But don’t listen to those who say you’re doing too much, I don’t think there’s anything such as trying to learn too much, if that’s where your passion is! My design skills makes me a better frontend engineer. And my frontend engineering skills makes me a better designer. And I can leverage either of my skills more depending on the situation that arises. I hope this helps, and I’ll keep your comment in mind when planning my next videos! What i would advise is to keep creating for *yourself* the most! If you enjoy designing and coding, build your own products and have fun with it. Who knows, it might be used and seen by many one day ☺️
oh no stephanie your comment got auto-deleted by youtube i think! i didn't get to read it but i would love to! 😫 i hope you can re-post it so i can respond properly!
@@maisyleigh ah!! Yes sorry I meant to repost and lost track. Thank you for your response!! I always appreciate it when you add little things here and there about why you chose to be a designer and developer. In the future I’d really love to hear more about your portfolio and interview process!

thank you so much!! im so glad you enjoyed the video! i would love to share website accessibility in a future episode! yes :P new keyboard! my next video will showcase my new keyboards & updated desk setup :D
Love it!! So glad you came out with another video. 🥰 I am in a similar situation you were, and it so inspiring to see someone else be where I want to go. I have a degree in web development and design and want to become a UI/UX designer, I just don’t know how to connect those two. Would love to see you go more in depth on your whole development process. How do you wireframe in Figma and where do you begin when coding your design in React? Thank you for putting out great content!

This is the best walkthru making web process. Also, it is inspiring me to go on web dev even tho I'm still struggle with css layout UU. One day I will do some web that I'm proud of :D
thank you so much! and yes you will :) just keep practicing, being inspired by other designs out there, and find your own style!
The animated header is great. Also liked the Knuckles Chaotix and Yoshi music.
Keep doing, keep making and that's right inspiration comes from anywhere and that connects

I like it very much. I like the presentation. It makes me relax and be happy too.
Glad to hear that!
Hi Maisy,
I love love your channel!
Great learning 👌🏻
I love your soothing voice! I feel so relaxed just listening to you 😇
Your sister very talented 👍🏻

glad you enjoyed! more to come
That’s a great, friendly video of the process, thank you!
thank you! so glad you enjoyed
The website is soooo cute!! Really enjoyed learning how it came about!
