Some say, after top gear ended, he fled to America where he took up living on the streets of Detroit, learning new skills. Others say he sold his skills to the highest bidder becoming a gun for hire. All that we know…he is NOT The Stig, he is The Stig’s post apocalyptic monster truck driving cousin.
It's an idea that was born way back in the early days of Monster Truck racing. Back in the day we had Bigfoot V/S Snakebite. Bob Chandler decided to create a adversary for Bigfoot, and Snakebite was born. They put a custom fiberglass nose on one of their trucks to create a new character. The masked driver named Colt Cobra was played by several of the Team Bigfoot drivers. The masquerade was kept up for several years until they decided to tell the truth.
I kinda wish Monster Jam would've kept Doom's Day around. It would've been a great training vehicle to get drivers some experience behind the wheel. Then, when the time was right, have them step away to a different truck and have a new driver take over. Perhaps have multiple Doom's Day trucks running at once, so that if the community could figure out one driver, the mystery continues.
the multiple trucks gimmick is getting out of hand already. Trucks are losing their appeal when there are 3,4,5 of same truck on the circuit. FELD is riding the cash cow bandwagon of truck's popularity
@@harveylong5878 true. I kinda wish they'd cut back on having so many of one name running. By running fewer duplicates, they can run more names at once(Alien Invasion and Pirate's Curse come to mind), which would allow them to keep the trademarks active, unlike what happened with Bulldozer, where they lost the rights to use it in competition completely. And the drivers would also get their own identities. Or, if they are going to run multiples of a name, run different paint schemes. Sorry for the lengthy reply, it's an interesting subject to cover since so many names went on hold last year and some on hold to run more of a name.
@@jackmagnium6115 That's one I'd like to see return, especially considering the cost and time it took to build that truck, and now it's not even being used. However, that is also a contract truck so that would be dependent on the Diesel Brothers to let it return since it's their name.
@@mikeygeisbert2565 Yeah I would rather there only be one of a truck until that chassis is retired. But I can understand having two or three, two because the truck can't be in two places at once and a third as a back up in case one can't be fixed in time for back to back shows. But when I was a kid of about 10, I do remember Grave Digger and Dennis being my favorite and one year Digger came back to my town and it wasn't Dennis, it was one of his other drivers. It really annoyed me as I wanted to meet Dennis and get his signature on my flag as I didn't get to at earlier shows because I was like 5. Later on when Dennis' sons started driving the other Diggers didn't bother me because that was more of a passing of the baton. And one made a new cool truck in Son-uva Digger. Doomsday’s body was so equivalent to NEA Police. Except Doomsday was Black and had no circular badges on the side and the nose. Nevertheless despite that truck being driven by drivers unknown (who was thankfully revealed at the end of this video) Doomsday was just as cool as NEA. However what’s your favorite color NEA? Silver or Blue? I liked both color NEA. And as Doomsday became as much a crowd favorite with its siren theme I didn’t think it too abrupt that it would retire or vanish so soon after 3 years. First as an encore truck in 2014. And as a competing truck in 2015 and 2016.
