Yuneec Typhoon H attacked by Hawk

- Incredible control of a Typhoon H after a Hawk ripped off one motor arm. The Flight Controller fights to regain level flight with violent pitch, roll and spins. Amazingly the pilot was able to fly it home and land. The camera maintains nearly perfect stabilization and heading while the H is going wild. The H was piloted by Ron Montroy as well as the original video.

Absolutely. This was an astounding testimony of the 5 rotor mode. It works.
Can easily be a commercial drone due to that very ability. In fact that is a major requirement for commercial viability.
I design build commercial multirotor's, the H is the most outstanding Hexacopter there is. mine is 2 years old and no problem's. The easiest thing to fly there is and the performance at 8,000 + is amazing. Even flying at 15,000 AGL it can stay aloft for 10 minute's. And it cost 1/15 th of my commercial drone. This video is another example of the abilities of this unit. I wonder if Yuneec meant for the H to be this good?

That must of Fkd up the hawk, that's a carbon fiber shaft and not easily broken even in a crash! So glad the 5 motor function brought you home safely! I just rebuilt one of these and it's good to know that it actually can fly with 5 rotors.
I have a typhoon H plus, if that was a DJI drone it would go right down ,typhoon H is the best.
