If we all had just listened to Pervez Hoodbhoy 40 years ago Pakistan would be Japan to India's China. He's always been right that a secular, scientific society, with Pakistani characteristics is the way to go. We need to invent our own form of modernity.
Those Pakistani characteristics will always ruin it. You are no Japan, you were founded on bigotry, whatever India becomes you will always be a Pakistan of some form.
Wonderful session. I remember watching your program on PTV in my childhood. It greatly impacted my interest in science. Hats off to the whole team.

Such a good session. Really liked it and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction and engagement with kids. Such a good episode. Although I do not like Dr. Hoodbhoy's stance, opinions or views on politics or world opinion, I cannot but love his ideas on education, health science etc.. and I am not even from Pakistan. Dr. Hoodbhoy, you do cater to world audience through pakistan!
Although there has been many important discoveries & inventions that has made our present life easy and comfortable, however, I think Penicillin was a very important invention/discovery

It is unfortunate that this type of discussion has become so rare. 40 years ago this was a norm in Karachi.
Its a great session and i am very curious are they pakistani kids Because they are speaking in English and in accents which is very different from pakistani english.
