You need to adjust the boost fuel compensation at altitude. If you have the standard fuel pin you can just adjust the spring pressure to delay the extra fuel hit until it’s fully spooled. Takes 5 mins with just a screw driver. I used to have to do the same with my RV in the alps with the same rotary fuel pump
I camp in the exact same area as seen in the beginning of your video. Normally in the morning you will see a small group of pronghorn antelope near by. I used to live close enough to hike to that area. I now live in Twin Lakes. I’ve lived in this area for 7 years now and feel very blessed to be amongst these towering mountains. Great video my friend.
Love the Old Rover. She has character and patina. It takes me back to my childhood and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with host Marlin Perkins. I always looked forward to the next adventure in some remote location. The last time I was in Leadville Colorado I had dinner at a small Mexican restaurant on the main strip. It was very good and had Great salsa. Safe Travels
I ate at Tacos La Mina during the last week of August 2024 in Leadville CO, also High Mountain Pies. Awesome place to visit and adventure. I ground tented at Lakeview campground overlooking Twin Lakes. Beautiful area!! Thank you Chris, you have inspired me to Get Out There!! Love your videos my friend 😊
Well the old range Rovers. She's got it but I'm surprised you don't have a tow bar on it so you can tow it behind the rebel instead of driving two vehicles all the time. I don't know I haven't heard anything about it. I don't know if you thought about it or what but might be something but good trip. Great scenery. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
With a clutch and off roading you basically gotta use the clutch as the gas pedal. Keep your rpms up higher with the throttle, and feather the clutch to control your speed.
Are you in low range 1 on Gnarly Climb? If you are, I think that 200 TDI is do for an overhaul. Looks like it’s lacking low end torque and it does smoke more than normal - it deserves a rebuild. Love the videos and scenery. Best regards from a fellow HCPU-owner, mine from 1987.
Great Weather for this adventure must love the Colorado , how's Orangie doing ?....any plans to take Jeep out?....I dig the sound for that Diesel just very primal :) ..Cheers Safe travels .
I love your videos! Everything is great from your investment of time to run around and record and not just do a dash cam... BUT especially enjoy the no-music in your recordings. Many good folks do a decent job recording - the music in their videos makes them unwatchable... MTV has its own channel :) :) :) and I miss Orangie...
Nice video. Good to see you two in a good mood. The scene on the little hill shows how important it is to say Goodbye to these old and dirty cars. They make in 20 seconds more environmental pollution than a modern car in a hole year.
When you get hung up like you did at the top of that climb, leave the truck in gear and restart it in gear. It way easier to get going again without worrying about rolling backwards….sticks are different from automatics.
Land rover smoking very high... Jeep mechanism best and very simple... Land rover mechanism not simple and cheap... Land rover diesel engine sound very high ... Rup and tup land rover journey....

I really like seeing when you both get to enjoy time together. Thanks for sharing "date night". Gereat video and beautiful location.

I’ve used that exact fire pit a few times. Tree Line is my favorite restaurant to eat at. Such a cool vibe.
I'm fascinated by the range of colors in the smoke 💨 Black, Grey, White, Blue... no other vehicle on the trail offers such an aaray.
So good to see the Land Rover tackle that obstacle. The closing bit in the cab made me smile.
Great episode as always. Seeing the ol' Rover overcome obstacles in serene places is very enjoyable (even if I miss Orangey too)
We miss Orangy

AMAZING scenery....I'm stuck here on the outskirts of Chicago so I'll have to live vicariously through you guys 😂😂
Really enjoyed the bumper cam and the Shannon cameo. Thanks for another great video.

So many desktop pics were created from this video. My Mac is happy now!
Camped in one of your prior waypoints in that area, can confirm it is a great spot
My lawn tractor doesn't smoke. But, no worries, always enjoy your videos and commentary.

Use Marvel Mystery oil to clean the injectors and your truck will run great
Where is the Jeep?
I must have missed it…are you keeping the Revel now? I thought you mentioned selling it.

There goes the clean air

Who cares what the body looks like if it gets you, reliably, from point A to point B?
The pollution that the diesel engine produces is nasty.
Too much smoke, take that thing home
