I got the death by satellite the very first time I tried cloud gazing in my custom hood. It pissed me so much because I worked pretty hard on that family's story haha. Fun fact, you can sell the satellite afterwards !
@@CozyPixels Do you know Pleasantsims? Cindy? She had a satellite death while streaming. I was there for it. She was playing the Poverty Challenge and sent her eldest teen outside to cloud gaze before the bus was due and wham! It was really something.
I'm getting genie lamps all the freakin time. I'm around round 6 and half of my households have got a genie lamp... It might be that I'm playing wants based
I remember when I was a kid and playing sims, I kept getting so stressed about controlling all the sims at once I would just keep making the ones I werent playing in that household at that time cloudgaze so that I could focus on one sim and the cloudgazing sims kept dying by satellites, it was so stressful and scary and I never realised how rare it was since I kept doing it on accident hahah
The crazy thing about Death by Satellite is that it calculates the chances just once per cloud/star-watching event, so if you want to force it to happen, you basically just have to cancel and reassign the stargazing every thirty in game minutes or so. I actually had it happen to me before I ever knew it was a thing, though! I was playing my first legacy house and my preferred heir was waiting for the bus by watching clouds because I didn't know this was a deadly activity, and suddenly she was dead and I didn't know why. So I had her sister plead with the grim reaper, and she won which cursed me with not having the rarest ghost in the game, unknowingly... and then after school I noticed the satellite object and didn't know where it came from, so I threw it in someone's inventory and moved on. It was months later that I came across "death by satellite" as a concept in the sims community and realized what had happened, and low and behold when I re-entered the home the object-I-don't-know-where-it-came-from was a satellite.
I was on a community lot with Don Lothario and there was a very bad thunderstorm. I saw Dustin Broke, Dina Goth, Darren and Dirk Dreamer get zapped by lighting because they kept going into the hot tub 😂 I was laughing so hard. I had to leave the lot
One the rarest things if I remember correctly is death by illness, it was rare in the sense that it takes 10 days of being sick before they die and it’s very difficult to keep your sim sick lol.
If you want sims to die from illness, the most reliable disease to use is food poisoning in my experience. Give the sim food poisoning lock them in a confined space with only a refrigerator to avoid death from starvation and they’re usually dead within three or so days. Food poisoning is pretty lethal but not contagious at all.
I had all of these happen at some point, except the death by flies. The satellite only happened once to a sim of mine, but it also was the first time I used the cloud gazing interaction so I was extremely shook and assumed this was going to happen all the time.
The day I got sims 2 and made my first family I had my couple lay down outside together and they got killed by a satellite, I was so unlucky the first time I played lol
The one and only time I decided to play a rags to riches challenge was in the sims 2. After the first few days the Gypsie Lady came up to my house and left the genie lamp there. I was like welp... that was an underwhelming challenge. 😑
My elder sim wanted to meet her grandchild but she was gonna die before the baby was born so I made her take the elixir of life. The thing is that I didn't notice she wasn't in the gold meter anymore so she lost days of life and ended up dying right there.
A couple of days ago while I was playing, the hobby NPC who came for one of my sims was struck by lightning right when he entered the lot. Then he proceeded to enter the house and greet my sim like nothing happened, all burnt and with the messy hair
Something really weird happened to me: I had triplets. Yes, In The Sims 2. It was in the Curious family and Pascal gave birth (I had The Sims 2 without expansion packs) I got the window when you name the baby and I named it (it was only one), the I had a second window, and then a third one!! I didn't know what to do. From one moment to another I had three babies and a just abducted Vidcund. I struggled a lot trying to furnish the house for the new babies (I had one cradle in each room) Then I lost all my data and it never happened again lol.
I’ve been playing this game for a long time, and I have to say that the rarest event in my game must be the teenager running away and the burglary. I’ve had multiple alien abductions, genie lamps, lightning hitting my sims, etc but I’ve never had a teenager running away from home, since I want my sims to live a good life, so most of the parents in my game are pretty supportive...and I’m kind of a slave driver when it comes to fulfilling my sims’ wants - they never sleep all night, they only sleep when they need to and once the energy bar is up, the sim is up as well. And since burglary can’t happen when sims are awake, they don’t happen at all.
Hahaha, this is amazing! Yes, to be honest I never had a teenager run away either, because I play my games very wants driven as well, I want my babies to be happy! 😬
The chances of twins increases if you have family aspiration and the perk higher change for twins, and even more if both parents have it. The fireplace will catch fire basically every time of you put objects too close to it. I’ve played the sims for so many years but I have yet to experience death by flies or a satellite 😶 I did know about them, but never experienced it. I was surprised the other day from learning that you can actually steal back the garden gnome! I had never known that! When I played the Sims 2 every time I moved a family on a lot, the match maker would show up and leave a magic lamp. If a SIM called the match maker she always left a magic lamp.
Good video! Do you know if the risk of fire from cooking increases if a sim prepares a meal that requires a higher cooking skill than they have (For example if a sim with no cooking skill prepares the ingredients for a lobster thermidor meal that a sim with full cooking skill left out on the counter) or is the risk capped at 6 %? Also here’s a tip if you want to see the death by flies in game without using cheats. You can easily fill an entire lot with trash using a broken Cleanbot. It will literally throw up trash until the entire lot is covered in it. While experimenting with this, it wasn’t uncommon to see random townies to die by flies just passing by the house as well as NPCs I hired. Your house literally becomes a dangerous minefield of trash lol.
The first time I've played the sims 2, I made a family of 4 (parents, teen and child). And moved them to an empty lot on Pleasant View. My teen went to see the clouds and all of a sudden he points to the sky and a fricking satellite lands on him. Great first time lmao
I love these random deaths and great video thank you. My Coral Oldie spontaneously combusted after a huge fire in the pleasant house killed Mary-Sue and Daniel, she escaped the room, calmly walked to the bathroom and burst into flames I was so shocked! I also had a string of deaths in the Contrary household. Rick died of sickness, later his ghost scared his younger brother to death and then Opal was hit by a satellite. Crazy.
i was playing the broke family and i randomly got the genie lamp, but i didn’t really want it cause i like the challenge with the broke family so i just keep it in the inventory😂
I just downloaded the sims 2 and my sim had twins her first pregnancy so that's cool. I didn't know it was rare. Edit: just now playing with nervous subject and he aged up, moved out and met his wife and they just had twins 😳
death by flies is PAINFULLY rare, i was honestly shocked. storytime! my friend and I made a sim version of our friend and her bf for fun. welp - they broke up. and at our friend's request we decided to kill him through death by flies, which seemed the most... gruesome. atleast by sims 2 standards. this poor sim sat in a tiny room full of rotting food and plates, puddles of his own pee, and his hygiene was TANKED. for a full sim week no less. no death by flies :( until testingcheats saved the day lol also having an outdoor hot tub on an apartment lot is very entertaining during a thunderstorm. sims are drawn to it like moths to a flame rain or shine, day or night, so i just sat there crying laughing as sim after sim got struck by lightning in the hot tub.
Long time ago, I had spent a huge amount of time into building a marvelous perfect house for my sim. And the first thing I did after finishing, was having my sim watch the clouds. Yep, he got hit by a satellite. First time I tried that action. And no, I had not saved the game by that time...
I had a Sim get killed by lightning strike! She was coming home from her business and got struck on her front porch. I’ve had one or two others get struck but they didn’t die.
Ahh, that sounds baad, I got sims struck by lightning as well, but luckily no one died of it 😅 It's quite common if they are using the hot tub during stormy weather haha
My university student sim got kidnapped. They handcuff and put my sim inside a limosin and I was like "wth happened? Oh... they want want my sim to join a secret society."
My lonely bachelor sim died eating spaghetti. He wasn't sick. His moods weren't critically low. The spaghet wasn't old or burnt. He just sat down at the table, was eating, then suddenly face-planted into the plate, fell off the chair onto the floor into a fetal position...and a few moments later the Grim Reaper was there. That was way back in 2007 and to this day idk wtf happened.
I was playing not even 2 weeks ago minding my own business, keeping my sims wants fulfilled. They must have been in high aspiration for a while I guess because I turned the camera and saw on their front lawn a random genie lamp. I seriously did not realize when it spawned and how long it had been sitting there on the ground. Was confused as I had never seen one without cheating it in. I didn't even use it, lol. Just stuck in one of my sims inventory.
I thought so as well but apparently it's not, in Desiderata Valley there's a clothing shop where they have a bbq inside and it doesn't catch on fire! 👀
It's so crazy cus I always thought that alien abductions were pretty common! It's hard to believe that it's such a rare event cus I feel like it happened alllllll the time, haha. I'm sure it actually is very rare, it's just such a wild event that it sticks with you. Same with satellites, to this day I REFUSE to let them cloudgaze because my god I've felt pain before, lol.
I rarely light my fireplaces as they catch fire a lot!!! I remember a satellite falling on my SIM and killing them when I was younger, so rare my friend thought I was lying 🙄
is possible that a sim when they run to vomit on the toilet for whatever reason this sim dies like that? it happened to me the very first times that i played the sims and never knew the exact reason (idk if the sim was ill or it was hunger or whatever)
@@CozyPixels Well the natural abduction was female and not intended as I don't have a mod for that. Dance sphere I was trying for and the combustion was while I was playing the Test of Time challenge where all four seasons are set to summer.
I had lighting strike a tree and set it on fire, called the fire department and it died before they got there. I got fined lol never been so scared in my life
This is the first video i see from you, and after the first sentence i was like "hm, i know this accent" after you said Klau, i realised OMG Hungary. Szia Klau :P
I had a very funny experience with the alien abduction thing once. I made a Sim with Knowledge Aspiration purely so that he'd get abducted by aliens. I looked through tips on how to do that, bought the best telescope in the game, and had him stargaze every single night. Whole hours and hours and days of him stargazing. I even set his schedule so he'd be asleep during the day and stargaze during the night. It took SO long, but eventually he got abducted, and had an alien baby. Then, after that baby had grown into a teenager, the original Sim went to stargaze autonomously. Just once. And he got abducted AGAIN on the spot. I found it so funny lol cause when I was controlling him to go stargaze, it took entire days for him to get abducted. Then with free will on he goes to stargaze ONCE and he immediately gets abducted. And he also had TWIN alien babies that time.
Thanks for sharing, I subscribed! I enjoy your videos. And I love your accent btw, and you are so pretty if you don't mind me saying. I wish Sims 4 had this much detail, makes me sad. Sims 2 will always be my favorite sims game.
How do you win a wishing well from the garden club? I have several sims who are garden club members. I have Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. I just found out about the voodoo doll and holiday meal option. Always finding something new.
I have a mod that makes the lightning strike even more rarer especially on trees and on the sims. Anyways, I had that mod and some sims were chilling on the apartment hot tub while it was raining. I was planning to let my sim join them but she kept disobeying. Next thing I KNEW, I heard screaming and went to the hot tub. Their heads were bowed down and I pressed play. THEY GOT HIT BY LIGHTNING WHILE IN THE TUB. I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD
I can't believe the Fireplace catching on fire is rare, it happened the very first time i light a fireplace, o was TRAUMATISED and never lit it again 😭
@@CozyPixels you're welcome. I always forget about the cheesecake because it's restaurant food, but I try to use the spaghetti. It only works if sim is eating only fresh spaghetti and is in good mood. From memory the percentage is maybe like 30%, but not sure.
Had my sim throw a piece of food on the floor for their cat, it had me hecking shook. What are the odds of that? Probably not that rare but its the first time i’ve seen it.
2 of my daughters died while cleaning the trash the clean robot left after breaking down and I was so confused but then I figured that they died because of the flies
I am here because I just saw for the first time a sim I play get hit by a satellite and die.. lol it really took me by surprise but I did not reload my game. and I made 2k simoleons for selling the remains of the satellite.
I played with a gold digger once and planned to kill the man after a week of marriage but then she got pregnant (risky woohoo on) so I waited for the baby THEY CAME OUT AS TWINS WE DID NOT PLAN FOR ANY BABY IN THE GOLD DIGGING SCENARIO MAN
Shit I watched further and I ALSO CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE FIREPLACE WHEN THE SAME GOLD DIGGING SIM MARRIED ARMAND DEBATEAU AND WAS GOING TO MAKE OUT IN HIS SECRET ROOM (which if any of you don't know the room is very small and has a very small gap between fireplace and sofa so maybe that's why) So yea she died. Karma is real I guess.
1:43 "the highest chance of a cooking fire is 6%" that HAS to be lies, i see fires all the time in TS2 plantsims as well, but the opposite, i've tried two times to make a plantsim and it took 50+ sprays for one. the other was almost 200. no resets since that resets the counter. 6:19 "your sims cannot die from aspiration rewards" this is straight-up bullshit i've had a sim die FROM THE EXACT REWARD in the bg of this part of the video, and he died because he lost gold aspiration JUST AS HE STARTED USING IT

The first time I had my Sim cloudgaze a freaking satellite fell on them! I didn´t know it was even a possibility a was so shocked and angry!!!!
Omg, that is soooo unlucky! 🥺😅
Gosh I never managed to get into a secret society😂 that sounds fun!
The way to get in a secret society is to have high relationships with at least 3 other members. I think it's 3.
Whereas using grills and bbqs inside has a 100% chance of catching fire whereas in Sims 3 and 4 it’s not 100% chance.
I thought so as well but apparently it's not, in Desiderata Valley there's a clothing shop where they have a bbq inside and it doesn't catch on fire! 👀
Thank you so much! :) I have alien abduction, genie, and treasure chest/maps. Haven't gotten a Plantsim and other death by flies/lighting, etc.
I always get the genie lamp super early in every family I play, so much so that it can even become slightly annoying lmaoo
Don Lothario got abducted by aliens and gave birth to an alien daughter. I had no idea how special this must be
Ahh that sounds like a nice plot twist in the Pleasantview scene!
And chance of fire from using the cheapest base game grill indoors has got to be a real high percent as thats almost guaranteed every time
Yes I think every grill used indoors causes an immediate fire!
Ohhh nooo hahaha 😄
7:18 just get them into a jaccuzi, for me that's just the best way to do it
Chances of a fire starting from a fireplace increases if you place furniture eg a bookcase next to the fireplace.
is possible that a sim when they run to vomit on the toilet for whatever reason this sim dies like that? it happened to me the very first times that i played the sims and never knew the exact reason (idk if the sim was ill or it was hunger or whatever)
I think that was because of sickness probably yeah! 😬
my teen sim brought a friend home from school and she spontaneously combusted. hundreds of hours played and have only seen it once!
I remember a satellite hit and killed my sim randomly when cloud gazing! It was hilarious.
I had one sim once dying after giving birth many years ago. She lived with her sister who was her twin from the previous generation
i had a burglar take the spa once , not sure how he fit that in his small bag
Haha, he probably just had enough space next to the car he took from my sim 😂
I have had one of each, natural abduction, dance sphere abduction and spontaneous combustion. Never had a non cheated satellite , flies or Murphy bed.
OMG!!! That's so cool! I mean it's not cool if your favourite sim dies of spontaneous combustion but holy moly! 🤓
Hahaha, sziaaaa! 🤗
Thank you! 😊 I'm on the same opinion about the sims 4, there are more weird deaths, but it lacks a lot other details and depth :(
Whoa I didn't know about a lot of these! The burglar one is really interesting!
My Desdemona got hit by a satellite literally the first time she did cloud watching lol x
I can't believe the Fireplace catching on fire is rare, it happened the very first time i light a fireplace, o was TRAUMATISED and never lit it again 😭
It happens more often if you have a rug in front of the fireplace! 👀
eating alot of spagetti and being in a good mood at same time also increases sims chance of twins
Hahaha that sounds amazing, thank you! 😁
@@CozyPixels you're welcome. I always forget about the cheesecake because it's restaurant food, but I try to use the spaghetti. It only works if sim is eating only fresh spaghetti and is in good mood. From memory the percentage is maybe like 30%, but not sure.
One of mine recently caught fire making crêpes suzette
Had my sim throw a piece of food on the floor for their cat, it had me hecking shook. What are the odds of that? Probably not that rare but its the first time i’ve seen it.
I'm playing TS2 since 2008 and I think that all of these events happened to my sims at once...all except the murphy bed death. :(
I always got fire from the fireplace😂. Like every time I placed a fireplace in the house.
2 of my daughters died while cleaning the trash the clean robot left after breaking down and I was so confused but then I figured that they died because of the flies
11:09 this happened to my pregnant sim when i was around 9 or 10 years old....
I am here because I just saw for the first time a sim I play get hit by a satellite and die.. lol it really took me by surprise but I did not reload my game. and I made 2k simoleons for selling the remains of the satellite.
How about death by elevator i tried that one endlessly but could never get it
Wow! To be honest, I didn't even know that was a thing! 😯
I played with a gold digger once and planned to kill the man after a week of marriage but then she got pregnant (risky woohoo on) so I waited for the baby
THEY CAME OUT AS TWINS
WE DID NOT PLAN FOR ANY BABY IN THE GOLD DIGGING SCENARIO MAN
Shit I watched further and I ALSO CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE FIREPLACE WHEN THE SAME GOLD DIGGING SIM MARRIED ARMAND DEBATEAU AND WAS GOING TO MAKE OUT IN HIS SECRET ROOM (which if any of you don't know the room is very small and has a very small gap between fireplace and sofa so maybe that's why)
So yea she died. Karma is real I guess.
Ahahaha, I love this story 😂peak sims 2 if you ask me!!
How does your Sims 2 game look like that?
Hi! I made another video on how to make it look like this, it's on my channel! 😊
I'm probably cursed then. I never put fireplaces down in my saves because it always catch on fire. T.T
+ You can get geniee lamp as a date gift. :)
I made a family once and one of the sims was imediately struck by lightning and died.
1:43 "the highest chance of a cooking fire is 6%"
that HAS to be lies, i see fires all the time in TS2
plantsims as well, but the opposite, i've tried two times to make a plantsim and it took 50+ sprays for one. the other was almost 200. no resets since that resets the counter.
6:19 "your sims cannot die from aspiration rewards"
this is straight-up bullshit i've had a sim die FROM THE EXACT REWARD in the bg of this part of the video, and he died because he lost gold aspiration JUST AS HE STARTED USING IT
Where did you get all these facts from?
Wiki, game code, cyjon's site, etc 😊 I dug through Google for them😅
WOW I didn't know the genie was so rare.
It's supposed to be but I get the genie lamp so regularly I'm wondering if one of my mods causes that 😂
Love this video!
Thank you! ☺☺
Szia te magyar vagy? Az akcentusod olyan magyaros :)
Igen az vagyok! 😁🇭🇺
@@CozyPixels tetszik a csatornad imadom a sims 2 t most is jatszok vele :) Udv Rebeka Sarospatakrol
Jézusom emlékszem gyerekként játszottam a Pleasant családdal, Lilithet elküldtem felhőket nézegetni és agyon csapta a műhold enyhe sokkot kaptam 😭😭
Jézusom😭💔 szegény 🥺
OMG You are the Taylor Swift from 1989!
🥺🥺🥺✨✨ this just made my whole day haha
Are you Hungarian?
I think I'm the most lucky sim player, cause my BELLA GOTH was abducted by aliens and she had baby twins 🤷♀️
Oh my god haha! Now that's a plot twist, at least the poor soul didn't get crushed by a satellite!🙈
