I've had a mess of "tuner tunes" in my head ever since the Cheat A Keys went on the Walker mini Crowe. I figured "Randy Lynn Rag" would be a great place to start, this was the first song I ever tried to figure out with D tuners. I hope you all enjoy it!

I love those clip on Scruggs tuners. I remember adding a set to my first Bentley banjo. You had to drill holes in the headstock & insert them. They worked good but squeaked when you used them! 😆

Love how you didn't sway to much from the original. Loved the added string bend. Like the slightly faster speed. Most people don't understand how hard it is to use the tuners and bring it back right into the same exact in tune sound after you have played this song the right way. Played it damn near perfect. Only one I know that could do better would be my hero JD. Love everything you do Russ. I'm also 1981 . We almost to 40 but the songs you play or post are perfect. Sorry for the book. I'd have to say my favorite is you and Jake doing bugle call rag. You just can't top that I don't care who you are.

You've got Earls right hand better than anybody I ever heard..
And I've heard em all.
They way you accent the little fills so well I can hear the bass stops..
The space between the notes..
And you make it look so effortless.
The right hand sound up close to the neck away from the bridge is dead on Earl's tone.
