You do realize the studio that animates Slime is the very same one that animates Blue Lock right ? Management was the problem for Project Blue Lock Anime.

Founders festival goes from LN 8-9, afterwords you have the rozzo family and hero arc in books 10-11 (these ones have a decent amount of action) but after that in LN 12-16 it’s pure action in the form of the eastern empire invasion. Everything after that is the Tenma war arc which is also heavily action based. All in all just give it a bit

Rewatching the early episodes like this really makes how much more mature Rimuru is in season 3 that much clearer. I feel like the anime does a very good job of having Rimuru grow gradually. But if you look at them right after human form, and then again at season 3's end, it's actually quite striking! They look like they went from about a... MAYBE 12 year old to about a 16 or 17 ear old. Even though I believe in actual time it's been like, maybe a year.
