EsaveoTheArtist yeah, and I think the person who said RM and V were considered “ugly” by the idol industry and Jin and Jimin the only ones considered good looking we’re probably just giving you their opinion.... yes, there was a lot of negativity surrounding RM’s looks as he does not fit the typical Idol image, but I am not sure of any of the other members actually received specific comments about their looks.... but I am pretty sure V was not one who did.... he was another one who wasn’t there to tryout for himself, he accompanied a friend who was trying out, and the person working the tryouts took one look at him and encouraged V to try out too..... so he had a look they thought would be good, even before they saw him dance or heard him sing. ☮️

but just a sidenote: none of the members are actually even like thebu of ugly like how blind are the haters from which fucking angle are any of them ugly

@@AmariLeone and many kpop fans love to bash BTS and think their fave deserve more just because they think their fave are more good looking than BTS. Thats how many kpop fans in choosing their fave group. Thats why many kpop fans switch their fave group like changing cloth because they think another new guy are good looking. Companies too even debuting member who actually cant sing and rap just because they are too handsome and pretty. But people like jin show that you still can be talented with hard work even when you actually think you got no talent at beginning.
BTS vocal line(jungkook, jimin, v n jin) too always get bashed alot by kpop fans. Just because these many kpop fans got brainwashed by kpop companies that main vocal need to have people who can belt high note perfectly and sing technically good. BTS was originally to be hip hop group, so its obvious bighit was choosing BTS members for their performing skill over vocal skill. Its opposite to what naturally kpop groups known for. These kind of fans would never understand either why billie eilish so popular either as their world revolve about to be successful artists, you need to be crazy powerful vocalists like how who always won for no. 1 audition reality program. They totally ignore about ARMY saying that we love BTS vocal line tones. We love their individuality. And those kind of mentality are reason why kpop got known for factory like industry. Tbh, most of kpop main vocal sound the same. There is no such individuality. You can easily switch up the member with another main vocal of other group and the song gonna still sound same like same feel lmao. Thats not what the case with BTS. BTS songs has been made specifically tailor made for BTS members. Like this member suit this part the most because his singing style fit the vibe, etc. This is why kpop fans mentality work very different with average non kpop fan. This is why BTS has alot of haters from kpop fans. BTS break typical thing that always been done in same thing since kpop exist in 90s. This is why till now many kpop fans dont understand either why BTS the one blow up. All they care is about their more good looking, more powerful vocalists oppa deserve more than BTS. 🤦♀️

V being considered unattractive is actually not the case at all. In fact, he’s gotten #1 Most Handsome Face of 2017 and remained in the top 5 for the years after.
Most of the hate V gets are people claiming V’s only merit is his face and he’s untalented, which is honestly stupid.

I thought they hate him most because he IS super attractive and they don't wanna admit that he can be super good looking AND have such talent. Plus the fact that he is very likeable and loved by many people in the industry and outside it. I honestly don't get the hate he gets🤷🏽♀️
@@AmariLeone V is like you the eternal second after JK in a lot of things (especially fysical games) . But personally I like V's voice better and he is a more of a born preformer with his acting skills he can make it very engaging , the crowd control V has is unbelievable and he is a overall charmer. He looks at life from an other perspective than most people and seems weird sometimes but it gives also a lot of entertainment in the group as he initiates things.
To claim any of them are not talented or unattractive is ludicrous. Taehyung has an amazing vocal range. While in the early years he was underutilized on the vocal line he surely isnt nowadays.
BoA P I mostly based this off of hate comments during the #TaehyungLeaveBTS trend. There were no such comments during his stream, but he did say he heard somewhere that RM and V got hate because they were “bad looking” which honestly wasn’t the case for V.
And I actually ran into one of these V haters. The person didn’t comment on his talents or looks. However, that person referred to V as “Taesh*t” and then said he was weird and should go back to the spaceship he came from. It was really rude, and to make matters worse, the person was 22 years old. I honestly couldn’t believe an adult could be such an immature bully.
LOL you're right... Jungkook is "that guy" who everyone would hate based on his natural talents at almost everything buuuuut he is impossible to hate. 😄🐰

Army doesn't like people who react to BTS videos just to sit, watch, say "hit the subscribe button" and leave. Army loves recap and commentary. when someone says what they think about the MV and what they find interesting in the MV, that's what Army wants. So you don't have to worry about how long your video is, *Army loves it* . we are used to watching BTS streaming that lasts around 2-3 hours just to hear them talk about their opinions, their music, and their personal lives, so videos that are about 1 hour long are still short for us.
Well that's just how I react to things, since my first video (which no one should watch it's terrible lmao) I've gotten a lot of flack for it over the months but I just can't not respond to what I'm seeing plus if I didn't pause it, I'd miss too much talking! lmao

@@AmariLeone Don't worry about the pausing! Most of us appreciate it more when reactors take their time to analyze instead of talking over the video and miss out on some details. We're always interested to hear reactors comments no matter how long it is :D
Me myself always paused to read what they say. So yeah you have to pause if you want to talk. That show you really pay attention to what you watch

That was one person's opinion. Haters used to say RM and JHope weren't attractive but clearly they ALL are extremely handsome. And V has been voted as the World's Most Handsome so him NOT being attractive is grossly incorrect. Don't take that serious. When the group was being formed some members were selected for specific specialties. RM was selected by the company first for his rapping ( writing and producing) and while not being the oldest, he was designated the leader. And he is a great leader! Jin WAS selected for his visuals. He is the oldest and at the time the rest were still really young looking so they wanted his more mature visuals. But Jin totally committed to the training and is amazing singer. Suga for his rapping ( writing an producing), JHope for his dancing and singing (he later became a rapper), Jimin for his dance and singing, V for singing and dancing or visuals I cant remember, and Jungkook for singing and dancing. This video is old btw. They are now pretty interchangeable. They all sing, dance, rap, write music and produce. There are many changes since this....like most of the members are now part of the Korean copyright association and all have many song writing credits, the rapline with the most since they are main writers and producers. BTS members are allowed to release individual projects. They are released often for free for the fans on Soundcloud. BigHit does not officially promote individual material. BigHit only officially releases and promotes BTS projects but they are fully supported. (But you will see official solos under the label promo and support). You will find these men to be very humble, they seem to be free of the problems with ego and greed. It's really an enigma. It's unheard of and probably why they are so successful. They are extremely supportive of one another and selfless. They are like brothers. They have lived together for over 10 years and still live together today albeit not in one room like they did for 2 years. Even though they all own individual properties they remain living together in a 5 bedroom luxury apartment. In interviews when asked they state they miss each other when apart. They have been together for so long that when they are apart for any extended length of time the really miss each other. Personally I think this is why they are so successful. They kinda live in their own bubble of support and separate themselves from the haters. The real unheard hero of this group is Bang Shi Hyuk the CEO of Big Hit who handed selected each member and then gave them the power to be intimately involved in their own music. He nutured and trained them. He is a musician himself and has kept this group very focused. They also have worked with the same small tight group of writers and producers for years now. Big Hit for many years had about 12 employees...now they are a mega corporation but BTS's team remains the same.
No actually there's a misinformation there. Hobi and Tae weren't switched, Hobi was selected as a rapper and taehyung as a vocalist
@@mku771 Actually you are both right but in different ways. What she talked about was why BH signed them on as trainees, while what you are talking about is what BH debuted them as (roles they were officially asigned). There was no way Hobi was accepted as a trainee for rapping when he literally had no rapping skills (as he himself admited). Also there is footage of his audition and he showcased mainly his dancing and some singing. But in the 2-3 years they trained, they all honed their skills (see Hobi's pre-debut feature rap on Jo Kwon's Animal). If you watch older videos or vlives or snippets from interviews, all boys were required to learn about hip hop history, music and try to write and rap (because BTS was meant to be a hip-hop idol group after all). Circle Room Cypher and some old bangtan boms attest to that. Out of them all Hobi was the one that was fit for rapping, because he naturally had the sense of rythm and the ear from his street dance background, unlike the rest. What she meant by the members being interchangeable is not that Hobi and Tae's roles were switched, but the fact that they can challenge the other members parts if they want and still do a good job (as seen when rap line and vocal line switch places for fun, even as recently as the 2019 Musters... Kook and Tae killed those verses in DDaeng, Jin is rapping any chance he gets at karaoke (in Run episodes or Bon Voyage), so yeah...
Anyway, what is important now is that the boys never stopped improving and honing their skills in all areas and are still willing to expand their area of expertise and try new things, regardless of their "official" roles in the group. Like Yoongi who came a long way from complaining about being tricked into dancing to now being the one who actually asked for his solo, Seesaw, to have a choreo and to go take singing lessons in his free time. Or how the vocal line keeps writing and composing and they are getting more and more confident about producing and releasing solo material, not just covers like back in the day. All 7 are amazing multi-layered artists and far from reaching their full potential yet. The scary part is they are so young they have plenty of time to become even better. And I am sure they will, because they are all team players, who don't get envious of e/o, on the contrary, they help e/o improve in the areas where they themselves are experts, so they all end up improving so much.

@gea Actually @Gaga Em is correct. You have to remember that at the time Hobi was recruited Big Hit was still planning to debut a Hip Hop group so they were probably banking that he would be able to pick it up.
There's another thing not mentioned in this video and it's that Jimin hadn't had vocal training either. And since he was the last trainee, they never got lessons for him (probably because Big Hit was on the verge of bankruptcy). There are pre-debut vlogs where he talks about how he knows he's not doing something right but doesn't know fix it so he just practices on his own without getting better. I think he said that he sat in on someone else's lessons but wasn't allowed to participate. I watched these along time about 4 years ago though.
Gaga Em no it is correct. They were switched. Hobi was supposed to be a vocalist and Taehyung a rapper but Taehyung wanted to sing so Hoseok switched with him
Fun Fact after being scouted out Jung-kook joined BTS/Bighit ent. because he thought RM was Cool.

Your Epiphany guy, Jin...he was fresh college student when he got scouted and he committed to finish his major and then he continued it to master degree when they in top of the world. and he also finished it. On time. He did most of the task and exam.
One of his professor's daughter were army and told us that Jin always polite and humble and worked hard to his study.
He's the only member who went to regular college with reguler schedule. The other went to online college. And his dedication to his study became inspiration to the other members to finish their study.
Ok.... as for Jimin, he is in a much better place now.... he is still (as they all are) a very hard worker with high expectations of himself, but he realized he needed to appreciate himself better and give himself a break at times.... he said when they performed at Citifield and he looked around at the sold out stadium, he realized how blessed his life is and how much he enjoys what he does and how fortunate he is to be where he is, and he promised himself to take better care of himself emotionally and that is when he was able to finish his song “Promise”.... it is a beautiful song, written to himself but also for ARMY when we are getting down on ourselves. ☮️

And yes they count birthdays differently. When you are born you are 1. When the new year changes, you add a year. For example. V was born on December 30th. He was 1 for a day. Then on Jan. 1st he turned 2 when in fact he was 2 days old. lol. Its crazy. That's why they refer to their age it's the year they were born.
The Korean age actually works as 1 year old when they are born and aging up a year on the Korean New Year, which is based on the Korean lunisolar calendar (extremely similar to Chinese Lunar New Year), so usually sometime in January or February but varies from year to year. For the Korean age they do not age up on their actual birthdays. I know you didn't say that, but I'm just saying it because I've seen lots of people in the past think they age up twice a year. The "Korean age" is the age that is generally used socially for things such as determining the use of honorific speech.
BTS will usually use this age on their vlogs, livestreams, korean interviews, etc.
However, Korea has adopted the international age system for official, legal, and governmental uses and documentation. Like other places in the world, this system starts at age 0 and ages up on their birthday. BTS usually tries to use this age when they are being interviewed internationally. Also, sometimes the person doing the subtitles for their other content will "translate" the age from their Korean age to their international age so it can get quite confusing.

@@songnghi1315 For the Korean Age it is +1 on Korean New Year only. For the International Age it is +1 on their birthday only. The two different ages are usually 1-2 years different depending on when the birthday is.

Jimin is hella shady, don't trust this explanation of him, he'll cross you in a second, completely unprovoked and simply because he feels like it (a whole ass mood if you ask me). He's, of course, cute and adorable as well, but he's a Slytherin through and through, no doubt (but still super hardworking and I don't think I've ever seen someone so protective over his friends). I think Jin, Jimin's and V's introductions don't really show their personalities very well. V is super savvy (as in lowkey the smartest in the room when it comes to reading people) and one of the most amazing performers I've ever seen and dancing has nothing to do with it tbh, but really he's just a little kid. Jin is a bit of an enigma and there's not a lot known about his private life because he keeps it just that--private. He acts very young a lot of the time, but there are moments when he's so obviously the oldest and he just seems to hold the biggest sense of reality. Not to say the others aren't grounded, they're absolutely the most grounded and humble celebrities I've ever come across, but they just enjoy and live in the fairytale that is their life (nothing wrong with that, I strive to have this mindset every day of my life) while Jin seems a little less....starry-eyed? I don't know how to explain it, he just seems to live in reality a little more than most people.
You picked up on characteristics from the members that I haven't seen mentioned a lot, but I see them the same way you do.

Yeah, I didn't want to believe it at first that Jimin is a Slytherin because I learned about the members from this video. But it definitely became apparent that Jimin knows EXACTLY what he is doing being cute and charming to get his way. And we just saw him casually cheating on national TV in America when they were playing a game on the Tonight Show recently, even though J-Hope's like "stop it" lol! He don't care, as long as he wins. I've seen it before too on Eric Nam's After School Club (Jimin sneaking extra prizes into his bag when no one was looking), so it was just confirmation. It's ok, I'm still charmed by him,but from a safe distance. I agree with you on V, too. I think he is underestimated because he may be a little hard to read, and he may not always be the most articulate & is sometimes hard to understand (I don't really know Korean, but occasionally his captions just give up and say TaeTae language, like he kind of has his own words or something). But his uniqueness suggests original thinking, and he clearly observes and learns really well, and can still remember all of their old choreo that everyone else has forgotten (good memory!). As for Jin, he really uses his persona heavily, and has stated many times he only wants to show his happy side to ARMYs and BTS members to keep up the mood. And he is quite effective in keeping his privacy (good for him, as a mega-celebrity). RM has also said that since he and Jin are so different personality-wise, he had a hard time relating to him at first. But as he got to know Jin better, he has learned a lot from Jin, including different philosophical approaches to life. It's cool cuz we don't get to see Jin's hyung side or maturity as much when he acts so young in front of the camera or other members.
I mean you can be both super caring and a slytherin (which he 200% is). If anything it's an amazing combination in a friend.
He can DANCE a lot of the members say they learn a lot from Jin. About how he sees life and how he lives his life. It’s very sweet. He is such a loving and caring older brother. I find beautiful how he took Jungkook under his wing, helped RM think differently about finding happiness and Jimin about positive outlooks. He truly is an enigma. But there is so much of him that can be seen through the other members 🥺💜
Compared to a lot of other companies and how they control their idols, Big Hit is definitely one of the more lenient in terms of the creative freedom they've given to BTS. They allow the boys to work on other projects (V has acted and written a couple of songs for soundtracks, the Rap Line was able to release their mixed tapes and work with other artists, Jimin and JK have collaborated on other artists projects as well). Also, the boys are able to work on songs for fun (that aren't part of the albums) and will release them for free on their shared Soundcloud. Sometimes it's solo music, sometimes it's covers, sometimes it's them collabing with each other. The rap line's popular song 'Ddaeng' was released on their Soundcloud. Jimin's song 'Promise' that he uploaded to their Soundcloud broke Drake's record for most streams in 24 hours, so their content isn't limited to just BTS albums. There's so much more out there.
Also, since I thought you could relate. Jimin did a Vlive recently where he read out someone's comment that said "I'm five years younger than you, but I feel like your mom." So you're not alone, lol.

nobody really cared about bts in Korea when they first started so ig that’s how the rest of the group was able to just attend jungkooks graduations. Also the school he attended specializes in preparing kids to become idols/performers. A lot of popular kpop idols went to the same school. It wasn’t until bts released their 5th album that they had a viral hit there (the song I NEED YOU)

He’s leader because of -As you mentioned- his responsibility and natural born leadership. He was the first member of BTS, yes, though that’s not the reason why.
After he joined Bighit, Hitman Bang -the CEO- had seen his abilities of leadership and responsibility, so Bang appointed him as one. And then after that, Bang trusted Namjoon in his abilities to mold the group to how he sees right and their future, alongside the CEO himself. And naturally, he stayed as such, the between of the group and company. He’s really amazing.

@@AmariLeone I agree. And I think it's unusual, in Korean culture, for the group not to be led by the oldest member. Not a diss to Jin at all, just the way it is. BTS is just different from other groups.
KimmyGibson GDragon is not the oldest (it’s TOP) in Bigbang, Suho neither in Exo or Soobin with TXT ... but they are the leaders (in GOT7 JB is the second too)
Namjoon is the leader because he was literally the only one who stayed from the original BTS lineup. Iron was supposed to be the leader. They all left when it was decided to make BTS an Idol group. This made RM the member with most experience as a trainee & he had more knowledge of music production and songwriting. And he also convinced J-hope to stay in the group pre-debut. He was the obvious choice for a leader. And sure the fact that he was responsible and is a great orator in general added to it.
Dee 305 I don’t know much about the ‘pre-BTS’ timeframe and the group -I only know some of the members and the songs they made- So I’m probably wrong, as this is just what I know. And now that I see it again, isn’t Iron the one who assaulted his girlfriend? Damn.

Absolutely I discovered this channel because of Jimin s latest MV. And I'm absolutely amazed by the good analysis and the intelligent remarks and I'm only on my 3rd video.
I'm watching the Jimin part. Actually Jimin had a hard time before where his voice cracked and was off pitch sometimes. But dude worked on it and improved. It's good to be confident but it's also good to be conscious of your weaknesses. And I'm saying this with the most love for Jimin. He's my absolute favourite, like no completion 😅
I think because you are used to read subtitles for anime (maybe) you read faster than other reactors, wich is great because a lot of people usually don't get all the info.
Kpop fans are used to read a lot of subtitles too, fast readers unite!
Yeah I have A LOT of practice between anime & cheesy kung fu movies lmao
@@AmariLeone It's an hability people underestimate. Most english speaking people are bad at reading subtitles because most stuff is already in english.
And not being able to read subtitles fast makes you not able to read and watch the video at the same time.
Imagineif you had to pause to read + to react; this way you only pause for reacting (wich I have no problem with)

Right, because in the BigHit group TXT, the leader is probably the least skilled in English of all of them. So English skills don't seem to be a factor for assigning leaders in BH. I think it's maturity.

Not intending to increase your love for Suga. He recently spoke about how he has been exercising his producing skills by going onto a music forum/website and looking for new sounds to build new melodies. He is actively working on his craft. I respect and love this man so much.

One of the things that helps make BTS shines and grows so much over the years is that all 7 of them have different characters and backgrounds, and their company (Bighit) gives each one of them chances to shine on various segments. They also don't get in the way of the boys' creative sides (unless necessary, so they mostly act like the group's mentor and guardians, more like), like letting them produce their own music, give out their inputs on their works (albums, songs, even stage performances), post their solo works or share free music on Soundcloud, UA-cam and Twitter. Each rapper has their own mixtapes (RM: RM, Mono, Suga: Agust D, Jhope: Hope World), every member have shared solo tracks on both Soundcloud and their own albums, and covers songs too. And it's more amusing to watch them constantly supporting each other instead of competing to get into the spotlight (like we've seen in other groups, not gonna throw names tho lol)
ps. about the Korean age thing, there's a tradition in Korea to count your age differently. So technically, they began counting your age starting the months you were still in the wombs/when you were conceived, so the day you were born, your age is counted as 1 year old. On old traditions, Korean people celebrate/count their birthdays with the lunar calendar, so they add another year to your age on the lunar new years which (sort of) adds 2 years to your actual age. in modern tradition, they add this extra year on January 1st (new year). I don't know if that makes sense.

Okay, I believe Namjoon (RM) is the laser not only bcs his insanely high IQ and EQ, but also bcs he is in a very special position as the "middle child" he is right in the middle between "the hyungs" (older brothers) and "the dongsaengs" (younger brothers), and so, he was in a position where he could connect with both sides, as he is a very apt communicator. Also Namjoon and Hoseok (J-Hope) were both born in the same year, but Hoseok is older by several months.

BUT I have just watched 4 of your videos back to back (don’t judge me 😂) and 🤩. So to respond to your 1st question: RM was the 1st member of BTS, the group was originally construct because and around him so he became the leader naturaly since he's well-spoken. In Korea, a lot of groups has the oldest as the leader it's a cultural hierarchy thing, it's even more impressive that RM is the leader in BTS since he is in the middle in term of age in the group.
And they made a great decision!
Yeah... He has 3 older members, but the older members respect & support him as the leader.. The funny thing is, RM can be charismatic & serious as the leader in their official events, but turn to be a nerdy, clumsy, chaotic baby in everyday life.. 😁.. These boys are really grounded & still the same humble boys even after they have international success..

This is exactly why I keep saying we should never favor any one member while totally sleeping on the others. It creates resentment and leaves cracks where there was none before.
The 4 oldest contribute a lot to the group yet they do not have as big a fan base as the 3 youngest. And I don't quite understand that if their fan base is really as diverse as we know it is, with people in the 50s, 60s, 70s and even 80s. Why is Jimin more valued than J-hope? They are both great dancers. It stops there with jm but hobi is also a rapper (self-taught), a lyricist and producer. He can carry a tune too and has come up with his solo projects & collabs that are commendable, yet nobody raves about him like they do jm.
I am sad that with all the obvious talent that this group has, they still have to resort to looks to lock in some 'fans'. What are they fans of, I wonder? Yes, sex sells. Even with as big a group as BTS. I fear half the fandom or more would be gone when these guys start developing paunches and face jowls.
For me, sexy is a guy spouting life truths and sincere, genuine feelings from his mind and heart and soul and is unafraid to put it out there and lay it bare. For me, the brain is the sexiest part of a person. Sexy is RM, Suga, J-hope.
A guy could be all oiled and muscled in the briefest of briefs, with a face that is good boned and chiselled, but if he has nothing significant to say about his environment and what's happening in the world, he is just a beefcake DUD! A poseur. A HIMBO.

Someone who, without the natural singing and dancing talent of the other members of the group, would take hours from his rest and sleep, to quietly train, ON HIS OWN, to be on par with the other members so as to make the WHOLE GROUP look good and polished.

I know I come across as someone who dislikes the maknae line, especially jm. And for a while I wondered if that was true. That I disliked jm? Then I realized it is not jm that I don't care for. I have nothing against jm. I am actually unhappy about the unfairness of it all. I am unhappy at how shallow some fans can be. I have said many times and will keep saying this: that praising jm for his dancing is like praising a fish for its swimming or a bird for its flying! Yet many people still do that. Reactors GUSH and RAVE over jm and say he stole the whole Black Swan mv. Some don't make it that obvious but you can see how their eyes shine when jm comes onscreen compared to how disinterested they look when, say, Jin is being featured. I mean, even the video that is being reacted to here give JIN very little air time & glosses over his part and talks about his cooking? His jokes? How does that even factor in their lit stage performances?
Jimin has a God given talent and all he has to do is hone it yet he cries like a baby when he makes a tiny mistake that is not even noticeable to others.
JIN, on the other hand, does not whine, whimper nor wince when he punishes his own body to go against itself to do things that he was not born or programmed to do. He sucks it all up and apologises for making any mistakes, quietly beats up on himself for a while, then gets back up, dusts himself off and works even harder afterwards.
No drama. No fuss. No attention.
That speaks of true strength of character.

Out of the 3 youngest who get the most attention, V has chalked up quite a few singles that have done well. In my opinion, he is the most stylish when they dance because he does it so naturally and with flair. With a kind of nonchalance and wild abandon even. He really feels the music with his whole being. His musicality is quite pronounced.
JK is an all-rounder who dances great and sings great live.
Jimin comes alive on stage when he dances too.
They ALL, each and every one of them, brings something to the table or Bang PD would not have debuted them. Let us appreciate them all EQUALLY and love all 7 of them, like V, who has the biggest and strongest fandom, has asked us to. He could very well just bask in his fandom's obvious love and rub it in his members' faces but he doesn't. Instead, he asks us to spare a thought for the others. He is up close enough to his members and can see how hard they all work and how deserving of attention and adulation each of them is. He feels bad for getting more credit than they do and sees how damaging it is for their morale and confidence.
Let's be fair, people. Put yourselves in the shoes of the most contributing but less visible members of the group. Have some empathy for them. Not sympathy, their pride won't allow it. Just be kinder to them.

If I could add some info- it’s hard to comprehend why anyone would hate on these boys after seeing their personalities/they’re the most famous group on the planet right now and when we have nice video compilations like this, but when we say they really started from the bottom… like, I’ve been watching all types of Korean media every day for the past 10 years and when I say I have not seen a group more unlikely to succeed due the stakes raised against them… these boys are it.
For background, having success as an idol in Korea is pretty much directly connected to how much exposure you have on TV. Music shows (performing) & ‘variety shows’ where people get a chance to see more of their personality.
That’s why groups that come from the ‘Big 3’ companies almost instantly become famous with unknown faces and no hit songs- these huge companies have monopoly over guests and time slots, they sometimes even have tv hosts pay more attention to their members.
So BTS coming from a small company on the verge of bankruptcy… Everyone thought they would disappear in a year or two so they treated them however they wanted without any repercussions.
We get that articles advertising rumours are normal for media play and clickbait, but when I say even tv hosts sh*t on these boys LIVE and let these episodes AIR… it’s just insane. Even when they were on the verge of finally making it, these boy were cut from performing on broadcast in their home country- DAYS before releasing their 1st million-selling album. Which is why it’s almost poetic justice they literally become the biggest boy band in the world-so big these boys have countries like Saudi Arabia changing LAWS so people could attend their stadium concert.
Yet through it all these boys have taken no ego and no vengeful actions instead choosing to kill them all with kindness and epic performances. And that’s the story of how I became a fan haha.

I love seeing and hearing your opinion on our guys. Very genuine! I will tell you, prepare for a lot of late nights, because once you go down the rabbit hole that is BTS everything changes😂. But, in a good way. There is so much content available, by the time you're a week in you feel you know them personally and dare anybody to talk bad about them. Also in the beginning BTS was unpopular and hated/not well liked. So going to school was not that hard which is great because some idols have to quit school because they cant do both. And if their group doesnt do well theyre left with no education or money. Its a putting all your eggs in one basket situation sometimes.

Yeah, Jin is the Epiphany guy.. 😊.. He's a really good singer, despite not having a singing background (he was a university student in acting major when he was recruited). I like his voice, especially for the ballad songs & Japanese songs..

When BTS debut this even become a diss materials for another rapper ( basically they said why did you debut with BTS and become a leader. If you debut in your age with another group you would become the youngest member not a leader) so no.. it's not because he can speak english. They upload their hidden tracks from the album and unofficial songs on Soundcloud. Sometimes they do it as a gift for us. I know that there is already a long list of videos are recommended. bighit is really great for supporting them with what they do individually. usually in occidental groups, they decide on a sound for the group and the members don't get to express their individual creativity which would obviously cause them a lot of frustration, unable to showcase their talent or just tell what they want to. so it's really great BTS can do that. you can really hear their individuality in the rappers' mixtapes for example
also, if they all showcase their talent in the segment they have, as in for jhope it being 'hope on the street', is jin's talent to eat on 'eatjin' ? i mean it definitely is a talent haha

Jimin's improved a whole lot, and he's at a much better place. He's also super slytherin, as others have told you. Angel, takes care of his bros so well, but like, _because_ he wants to show the world, see my Bros are taken care of well, and they're so happy, so clearly they are awesome zand I'm awesome, cause I'm with them... Idk how to explain. Jimin's just a fascinating character and a role model. They are all 3 dimensional people that have grown up along side us, even!

I’ve never actually requested before but I think you’d get a lot out of reacting to the members individual projects/songs/mixtapes because you seem interested and appreciative of the individual ‘flavor’.
You can for an easier to take in overview find guides to the different types of projects the respective members have done/participated in.
personally rm’s mixtape “mono” was the first one I heard of the mixtape/playlist but also how I was introduced to bts so it has a special meaning for me, if you find the time under quarantine to react to it I would be overjoyed to hear what you think(preferably from start to finish bc all the lyrics/music is interconnected but it is optional) three of the songs from mono have music videos if you wanna check that out too. But really any reaction to bts is great since I’m an army :’)

Most of what you saw are older videos so there are a lot of aspects of the boys in this video that are no longer accurate but it’s good to know their history. Most of the negative things you saw were the mindset of netizen in Korea while they were trying to get popular. Most ARMY don’t believe any of that especially regarding their looks😅they are all quite handsome/beautiful. They did have issues with singing in the beginning but like Jimin and Jin said they practiced a lot to overcome them and stand out as the artist you see today. 💡Interesting fact: JIMIN actually has a Tattoo of the word NEVERMIND on his lower right side because of SUGA’s lyrics of self acceptance. Also ,JUNGKOOK said watching JIN excel at singing (Awake and Epiphany) really inspired him to do better😳 Can you imagine, The Golden Maknae, that can do everything said that!😅 It shows how much of a support system each member is to one another whenever one member feels like they are lacking and how they actually inspire each other when they succeed. 🥺💜 I hope you enjoy watching their growth and change in sound through their videos🤗 Thank You again🙏

They were recruited and started practicing for their debut when JK was still in MIDDLE SCHOOL. So in some of the videos of them goofing...these guys were only 16, 17, 18...and they were together 24/7. So they are brothers in every sense of the word. They spend more time with each other than with their families. The three youngest left their families to live and go to school and practice in Seoul when they were 14-16.
I've only made it to the Jimin segment and I just had to pause to tell you how much I am enjoying your reactions. I haven't stopped smiling since the video began. And I get you! I think that's what appeals to so many fans. They're relatable af and we find pieces of ourselves in them. They're so raw and real about their struggles that it makes us feel less alone as artists, which can often be very isolating.

This video is pretty outdated and it sells Jin short. He is a SPECTACULAR vocalist, as good as JK, a composer and songwriter (his self composed song Moon just got # 5 in Rolling Stone Best Boyband Songs, the highest of ALL BTS songs on the list) , can play guitar, is learning piano, has an acting degree from a very prestigious university (where he was accepted early without entrance exam because his grades and audition were JUST THAT GOOD), that he got WHILE PROMOTING with BTS, and he actually went to class and did all his homework and shit. He is also known for being the Politest. Out of 7 extremely kind and polite idols, he is the politest. His emotional intelligence is also off the charts.
We are totally fine with the long videos because you are paying attention and forming your own opinions. And it is VASTLY preferable for you to pause and get your thoughts rather than trying to talk over it and miss important things. You are doing great!
Tbh I think a lot of the criticism about their looks was always bullshit and ppl just said that because they wanted to hate on them and belittle them for a lot of reasons, none of them valid. Literally none of the members are ugly or ever were and even if they weren’t the most attractive calling ppl ugly is the lamest drag there is. Insult of the weak minded for sure.
