In the fourth interview of our Ramadan and Me series, Everton's Kenza Dali speaks about playing professional football during Ramadan, what it was like fasting growing up in France and how she celebrates Eid; "Ramadan is not only fasting. It’s so much more than that"
Everton Women midfielder Kenza Dali has spoken about her experiences growing up during Ramadan and explains that fasting is only a small part of the holy month.
Dali joined Everton Women in 2021 from West Ham and the 30-year-old is one of many Muslims in elite football who are playing and fasting during Ramadan. She spoke about her personal experiences of the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
"It's not only like fasting, it's not about food, it's not about drink. It's so much more than that," she told Sky Sports News.

We eat in the morning, then we feast in the evening. And they call it fasting. 🤦♂️
Ok and what do you do
Yeah, it's supposed to be a substantial meal in the evening. The feast comes at the end of the month on Eid. I'm not sure you know what fasting actually is. But no food, drink or indulgence for approximately 16-ish hours consecutively. Some of those hours you're asleep so it's okay. 👍🏼

Some things in Islam is a dichotomy. They feast during the Ramadan month. In the morning they eat a lot of food and they can't wait for the evening feast. And then the idea of religion of peace is also an irony.

Ramadhan is no choice its an obligation to all Muslims and then women shld cover their hair worse enough ur playing football showing or exposing ua hands and legs.. May Allah guide u all Muslims to follow Quran and sunna
