    The 40 caliber is a knock down caliber, the 9mm will never have its power which is why a lot of police agencies swear by it as a knock down option like 45acp is an option with cops as well.
    Now civilians still purchase 40 caliber on par with 9mm because they know and like the 40 caliber punch option if they shoot it well.

    These may be the best duty gun in history,this is the same as 31 drop in a sig barrel for 120,that badge logo is so cool.

    Just received a police trade G22 and a G23. Both Gen4, Both with 3 mags, grip modules, and all the accoutrements.
    Holster wear was to be expected, but there is very little of that.
    The saying is accurate: Carried a lot, and shot a little.
    Inside, was still Glock perfection. Oh! and these two new pistols, were only $299.99!
    At Gideon Tactical.
    Yes, I'm a fanboy BUT, I still want a VP40. lol

      Yes! There are a lot of great budget pistols in that $300 price range these days you can get new, but I often highly recommend to people to look for a police trade in Glock for that very reason.

    There's probably no better time to buy a .40 trade in than now.

    I like the sheriff logo on the slide

      That's really the main reason I got this pistol. From what I understand Glock doesn't really do those engravings anymore, and it's a local department near me.

    Thanks for the info. Just got a g22 KCSO trade in. Gun in great condition. Had the rubber grips already. I thought the gun had a heavy trigger and just like yours marked NY1. Don't think I'll change it. Gun looks great; a thousand times better than my beat up carry 2nd gen g17. I bought that gun new way back in the day. A trade in for 300 $ from Aimsurplus a great deal. They had some g37 gap like new 299$. The ammo for that might be kinda of expensive...maybe for another day.

    great buy. I have a Glock 22 gen 3 police trade in and its my carry gun. I too had to get rid of that stupid NY trigger spring.

    My G22 is not a LEO trade-in, it is the RTF mdl with “gills”

    Watch out with that Ghost connector, I put one in my Gen3 G22 police trade-in and it caused the gun to fire a second time when the trigger was let out!!! I also added the Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel and it resulted in weak/erratic ejection, even after trying lots of recommended parts to fix that. Still, these guns are a great deal! I like that engraving :)

      I'll keep an eye out for that issue. I've thought about a 9mm conversion barrel, but to truly do it properly you really need to change out the extractor and ejector as well. And at that point I'll just buy another gun. Unless it's a 357 sig barrel. That might be interesting...

      It's too much of a hassle that's why I never tried to convert my Glock22 to 9mm & I already have a Glock19 anyway.

    Got the same one, $350, three extra mags, high capacity (which will probably go away again soon), but great review. 3rd glock I’ve bought and best I’ve bought. Btw, I’m not sure the factory, but I dug out a heavier trigger spring in the case. In any case, police trade ins are great, one thing is for sure, they’ve been fired and well maintained.

      Yep, I love this gun. It shoots well and has never given me an issue. And mine really looked almost brand new when I got it.

    Got a glock 22 40cal. Not sure what gen it is. Doesnt say on the gun itself. Just know its probably a gen 2 (?) Also has the scalloped grip on the rear end of the slide. I haven't seen anyone else with that type of grip pattern. Cant even find it on UA-cam. Anyone else know anything about this gun?

    This is My next purchase bro... I was just at the local Gun show a week or two ago... I ended up purchasing a Smith&Wesson model 64-5 chambered in 38 special... But I've seen these on the net for $309.00 I want one before for they dry up.... Great overview TennesseeMatt....

      Thanks! I had wanted one of these for a while and when I saw they had these from the Knox County Sheriff Office I couldn't pass it up. For the price you can't beat it for a home defense gun, truck gun, or just another pistol to have stashed somewhere.

    Thats awesome especially with the engraving. Strange that the scratches are on the left side, was she left handed I wonder? How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? Can't wait for the review, good find!

    • @TennesseeMatt
      @TennesseeMatt  7 років тому +1

      not sure about the scratches, they are VERY faint. I paid $339 for it. After cleaning it up a bit just from where it has been stored it looks almost brand new.

    I'm 18 in Tennessee and about to buy a used glock 22 any advice for carrying in car under castle doctrine

    • @TennesseeMatt
      @TennesseeMatt  6 років тому

      I don't know any specifics as to the legality of it, but if you find out, or have already found out that you legally can, I will recommend a holster or something to keep the trigger covered.

    Both of my Glocks are .40 and I have been mulling over switching to 9mm. Then I see this and now I don't know what to do LOL. Also I want to say the factory trigger is like 5.5lbs I think.

    • @TennesseeMatt
      @TennesseeMatt  7 років тому

      haha! I eventually plan on getting a Glock in .45 as well. Gotta have diversity!

      SOU7000 get a 9mm conversion barrel. Mine works flawlessly when I use 9mm mags. It even works decent with the .40 mags believe it or not.

      Buy a conversion barrel. .40 may not be the best caliber for tyros but is a great round.

    I rather buy a new Glock. I wouldn't want a police trade in rejects. I especially don't like the departments engravings and the scratches on the Glock

    • @TennesseeMatt
      @TennesseeMatt  6 років тому +2

      Hubert Chung LoL any gun is going to get a few scratches here and there if you actually use it. And it's a police TRADE IN, not a reject gun... most departments trade in for new guns after a certain time period even if a pistol only has 200 rounds through it.
