The mystery concrete structure at 4:09, that's where they put unsuspecting runners who "deviate from the bridleway" 😁 didn't you hear the screams?!??!? Thank you for sharing more magical moments in these amazing places, Craig
Haha I wondered why I didn't see any other runners! It was a really interesting place, that until a few weeks before I had never heard of. I'm hoping to record a virtual run around there early this spring (if it hasn't been reclaimed by then!).
I spent 35 years working in quarries in that area, if you contact any of them for a tour they would welcome you, try John Wainwright at stoke st michael they will show you how sympathetic they are to the environment and wildlife you would be very surprised, there are always two sides to any argument, you have to listen to both.
You certainly have a lot of experience Denis! Thanks for your comment, sorry for taking so long to reply. That's a fair point about the two sides, I don't know enough about quarrying to have an opinion on how bad/good for the environment they are. My family and I are actually going to attend an open day at Whatley Quarry next weekend, so that will be insightful. I bet you must have some interesting stories to tell with 35 years of experience!

I really liked the inclusion of old footage and photos :)
Thank you Rainiepie, I'm glad you enjoyed the video :) I love seeing old photos/videos of places, they always seemed much nicer back then!
Really enjoyed that but was waiting for someone to shout at you! 🤣 very relieved they didn't!! And your dad shares my birthday 😁
Haha yeah my anxiety was quite high while filming some parts of this video! Hope you had a nice birthday! Mine is in November too :)
@@CraigBridges I did, thank you! Hope you did too! It's a good month for a birthday 👍😂
