  • Cefalù in north Sicily hides a remarkable megalithic secret. The town is surrounded by massive cyclopean walls along its northern coast. Thought to be a sea defence from the elements and from enemies, it dates to at least 900 BC, although some say it is much older. We explore segments of the gigantic wall including one of its entrances which looks like Alatri in Italy or Tarragona in Spain. The street above the wall has an enigmatic name: 'Mura Megalitiche'. Further up the sacred hill is the Temple of Diana, a beautifully created structure with fine polygonal construction that we will explore in a future video. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

The infamous Aleister Crowley had his Abbey of Thelema there in Cefalu in the 1920’s before Mussolini kicked him out. ✌️😸

Great shots Hugh. Looks to me, according to visible architectural style of masonry, like mycenaean era cyclopean walls - from late bronze to early iron age, but could be older. Those polygonal walls from late iron age looks much different than this, this obviously looks, to my opinion, older, and built with much bigger and rough stone blocks than those in late iron age polygonal walls. Great job Hugh.

Have you checked out the Greek/Roman city of Empuries in Catalunya? I used to live nearby, I think they have examples of polygonal walls there too. It's a very interesting place, being on a large dragon earth line that runs East-West.

As rough cut the stones are I’d think these walls are older than the cyclopean stones

Someone out here on UA-cam is saying those big blocks are 40,000 years old.

The last ice age " global earth freeze out/Megadisaster, wiped out this Cyclopial, Polygonal, Worldwide Society at about 460,000 years ago. Thus all add ons are of rubble attempts to work with these Masterpieces.

holocene is coming to an end...earth's magnetic poles are quickly moving over into parts of Asia, earth's magnetic fields are weakening and at a faster rate then previously thought, the sun's magnetic poles are about to shift, lots of volcano's waking up as well as more earthquakes, various weather processes are falling apart on the planet, hmmm, not sure if I want to be around the next 20-30 years 😅

The fact that these walls show up on the shores, makes me think of the sea level rise. Amazing that you traveled to all these places. Every video is a treat. Keep them coming. This comment was also written to boost the algorithm.

More amazements - the lack of surprise at yet another mega wall of old is hitting home! same period same style, same area, island shores etc..- surely there was a master builder group of old, where when and whom is stil the mystery, but the fact of their exhistence is no longer in any doubt for us megalithics! Thanks Hugh, as always, excellent adventures for us to vicariuosly visit thru you x

"Now in this island of Atlantis there was a great and wonderful empire which had rule over the whole island and several others, and over parts of the continent, and, furthermore, the men of Atlantis had subjected the parts of Libya within the columns of Heracles as far as Egypt, and of Europe as far as Tyrrhenia."

Yes, but it will be really difficult to make on your own. The challenges I'm sure will be many. Survivors will need to have their tribe. I don't believe that our governments will be looking oit for us. They already have their tribes ready to go. And I don't believe that "Don't talk about fight club" is a wise way to approach the coming Cataclysm. I would to prefer to build worldwide, decentralized, Survival Clubs. Those that don't want to make it through to the other side have the right to feel that way. But I don't want give up and the best way to make it to the other side is to form up with like minded people. Godspeed.

If you go back to Italy one day you might like to check out these small towns not far from Rome! : 1) città di Palestrina(thousands of years of history including a full gigantic mosaics from 2.000 years ago held in the “castle museum” above the small town).2)Bracciano ,very beautiful and majestic castle.3)CIVITAVECCHIA e Tarquinia (Necropoli Etrusca )is amazing to go walk in the old parts and trekking areas because it’s completely covered by Etruscan buildings and tombs. 4)Castel San Pietro Romano. 5) Calcata . 6) Ostia Antica parco archeologico(which is closest to Rome right by the sea). These are my favourite places to observe many different layers and awesome structures.

Wonderful Italian villages and small cities well preserved luckily because people reused and built on top and kept living for centuries in the same places kind of taking care of it. I love seeing the obvious difference in materials and culture , building techniques.

TY for the virtual trip. Definitely worth watching and wondering.
In Cuzco, the tourist guides sometimes point a the Inca "cyclopean" walls and say "this was made by the Incas", then they point to the Spanish colonial walls (similar to Roman ones) and they add "this was made by the inca-pable ones". 😅
