I'm so glad to finally feeling well enough to get in my craft room and talk long enough to do a video. I love this paper collection & can't wait for it to arrive. In fact, I collect all their birthday paper collections as you can never run out of celebrations. I tend to die cut first, then I place the cut out piece back into the cardstock to use as a template, then use my stamp press to stamp with as I am a shocking stamper. If I stamp first & then die cut, I always end up with it crooked, so my stamp press is in constant use when I stamp - no matter what it is. I couldn't live without it!! Then it was first introduced to the market place, I bought one straight away as my stamping was always atrocious & so I basically had given up stamping. I love this page, it is full of brilliant ideas that I wouldn't think of doing!!
Thanks, Louise...I have a Misti but just don't find it easy to ink up my images. Part of that is because of my nails but I just think I can do it faster with a block. I keep trying it because I REALLY WANT TO LOVE it!

Thank you so much, Erin!! The balloon ended up being one of my favorite little embellishments...well, ALL embellishments are my favorite but I usually have to speed through them (hence the cluster at the top left that was added at some point but cut out...lol).
That’s a great New Year’s layout and every added detail you put on the page just increased its interest. I think your black sparklers and gold touches including the gold outline increased the enjoyment of seeing this page❤

What a great use of this collection! Fantastic page! Personally, I like to die cut then stamp also! My stamp and thin cut sets are filled with extras!
Mine too....question - do you put the extras in the sleeve with the Thin Cut or just loose in the stamp envelope? I've tried both ways as well as adding an additional envelope...I think I prefer the additional envelope :0)
@@scrappinkaty I usually put them in the stamp envelope facing out so I can see what is in it!
Yay, this is so fun! 😃😃 I actually prefer stamping second because messing with the washi tape makes me crazy! However, if it's something I'm coloring, I like stamping it first with my Misti for a really dark image.
That makes sense! I need to learn to love my misti...not there yet - the inking part is too awkward to me...lol

I cut and stamp
That's the majority so far! Do you do it that way for the same reason I do, you cut a lot at once then stamp as you need them....or do you cut then stamp because it feels more natural? Inquiring minds want to know.
