Jonah Nilsson "Bad". He does all of the singing parts, drums , keyboards, PLUS he has three keyboard solos from three other guys, one of which is Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater.
Oh man, your reactions, I love the fun and appreciation you have with DL’s tunes…that tricky middle bit is insane, and everything is filmed so nicely, too. Have you checked out “Turbo” yet, another Cory Wong/Dirty Loops collab? But really, whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong with them. That drummer Aron! Henrik on bass! And Jonah, killin it on vocals and keys, every single time. x
Great reaction! I saw you did Bitten by the Kitten on your old channel but can't find that you have done Old Armando Had a Farm yet. Imagine Aaron and Hendrick practicing for an upcoming square dancing gig. It's hilarious and would love to see your reaction.
Hey Norse. I love your sense of fun. Dirty Loops are special, simply because they have stepped outside of the box. They have given us a chance to see what REAL musician can do. I'm sure they could cover many genres of music from jazz funk to pop (although it would sound a little different by them!) and I'm sure, given their musical skills even Classical. So good on ya for putting them on your channel. From an old geezer from Australia. (I'm about to turn 79yrs old) thanks.
There is a story behind the title of this piece -- Songs for Lovers is/was a side project by Henrik and Aron. this title was the 3rd release of said project. (Thanks for the correction, Lotta Wiklund!) In the comments to their previous releases, people were asking why Jonah wasn't there (having missed the point about this being a side project). Since Jonah had done his own side project a while back, i.e. "Coffee Break", fans came up with the obvious answer -- Jonah wasn't there because he was taking a coffee break. Playing along, Aron and Henrik in response brought Jonah in on this song and called it "Coffe Break Is Over".
Almost. It was the third one, as Pink Power came last in that series. :) But yeah, it's fun that they picked the title based on Jonah's absence for his solo project. :D
I love that they actually read the feedback they get and take some of it into consideration as they move forward. They create a nice balance of doing what they want and giving the fans what they want.
@@JamilaGomez82 Yeah, it's a bit like with all the jokes, in the comment field, about Henrik's wall of EBS cabinets (is that what they're called?) in the three first videos for the Phoenix songs, and then he just have the one tiny thing with a ton of mics on in the last two. So funny. :D
Technically Songs for Lovers is a side project and not actually Dirty Loops so in a slightly twisted way this was not really a DL upload...so you're good! Your enthusiasm is truly infectious. Keep up the good work. Hey here's an idea to keep on the back burner. Jacob Collier and Jonah are good friends and both put out totally good energy music. At some point you might consider Jacob's version of "All Night Long." It is epic and the energy doesn't get much better.
If it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere in the comments, there's a little more to the Songs for Lovers project. Jonah was actually away recording Coffee Break and Henrik and Aaron decided to do this little side project. The last song they released out of Songs for Lovers was this song, with Jonah, signaling that Coffee Break was now over and the band's back together.......love these guys!
Love DL and your reaction as you know! Also love how Jonah´s keyboard is based on some sort of drum here... 😀They are just the best - for sure! Good for us to know - who knows it, already! Hahahaha... Hope your cat is ok too! And yeah, speaking of that... Have you checked out Aron and Henrik´s "Bitten by the kitten" yet? I tell ya, it won´t disappoint. 🙂 Cheers bro!
@@NORSEVIKING Good to read! Mine are hooked on cat candy, and that´s pretty much (as there is full blown winter here in Sweden) pretty much all they want. Besides going in and out - preferably at the same time... :-I Yeah I remember now that I´ve seen it previously on the Ragtag. Keep up the good work!
Ragtagscallywags or something in the past? Is it you on "my left side" so to speak? Norse? Do you have Nordic or Scandinavian heritage? Interesting, new channel so keep it up.
Yep. That was me (on your left). I have mostly Norwegian heritage with some Swedish and possibly Danish. My gamer tag from 15 years or so ago and to this day is NorseViking. Everybody there calls me Norse. Thanks for finding me!
Hey Norse, first of all, thanks for your reactions to the "Loops" they're amazing. Been a fan almost since their first offerings way back. I think you'd like their collaborations with Cory Wong. "Zap" has an amazing five second intro from Hendriks on bass which I think you like.
If you want an idea of the Dirty Loops live experience, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/IDHHXJIrv4c/v-deo.html (and yes...they're just as bad ass live).
"They all look sad." LOL! They were concentrating and counting in their heads, probably lol!

I got to see them live in Chicago in 2014 and they were amazing. I can only imagine how much better they are 7 years later.
What an evening with double DL reactions👍 Cheers from Sweden and keep up with your genuine reactions💯
Thanks so much, man. Yeah, I figured it's Saturday, why not. I'm happy you're enjoying them!

That'll be the next DL I do. I've had a couple of others request it as well.
Endorphin high watching this. It's 3am over here, but never mind... I'll sleep when I get old... er.
Thanks again!

They really rock heavy at the end of Crash and Burn Delight.

Ragtag Scallywags reaction to "Bitten By The Kitten"
My cat is doing well, thank you! I did check it out on an old channel I did as a duo. Fun song! It's in a reply to your comment.

The keyboard is precariously balanced on a floor tom. That's why it's bouncing all around.
