Today, we pretty much removed everything from this bathroom, rewired everything to incorporate the new fan, lights, shaver socket etc
Let us know in the comments what we could have done better ?
Hi, Just had a look at the building regs as far as chasing walls is concerned. My maths show that you should be ok.
As you say it isn't a supporting wall and as such is not under any load. Another great vid. Ta.
Thanks dude, yea it’s not something I’d choose to do, take out a chunk of the wood, but sometimes it happenes.
Glad your enjoying the videos mate.
High quality work, as usual, and a great video - thanks!
Good one Sean, nice to see Ryan doing a bit of presenting he done well. Not has good as you of course!😁
🙌🏻 don’t know what’s got into him 😂
High quality work and great video. Congrats
Great video mate. Obviously nothing wrong with that trunking. TOP ELECTRICIAN ☝️
Your videos are getting better every time Sean. I couldn’t have left that conduit for the shower as it was. But that’s the OCD in me :-)
Thanks John, and I know ! It was bad 😂
Nice one lads. I'd have set the lights out exactly the same. 'Looks like it grew there', 'never knew we'd been' - same patter all over the country amongst sparks it would seem. We use them up in the north east too. U ever heard the term challawalla? That's another one I used to hear a lot. 'Thats challawalla, that!' (it's a good job).
Cheers mate, nope never head challawalla before 😀
How did that come about ? Can’t figure out why it means good job
Me neither mate. I used to work with a load of ex shipyard sparks and they used to say it. Then I worked with a joiner who used to drop it in from time to time too. Must be a local thing.
@@Daniells1982 Interesting, but it’s gonna bug me until I find out the meaning now 😂
Quality video pal. Liking the downlights 🤙
Cheers dude 👏🏼
I hope that fan is 2.25 metres above that bath and suitably ipx rated Shaun 😉😆😆😆 when I used to fit down lights I used to get an old screwdriver and poke it up before I drilled so I could check for joists as it's easier to put filler over a screwdriver hole than patching in a mistake. Nice job as always on that bathroom 👍
Yea I also use that screwdriver trick too, but if I can find the joists and space them to miss, like this one I would rather do that first 😀
I like the laser you use to get them accurate, I used to use a chalk line and it would leave messy red chalk all over the ceiling 🤦♂️
@@adierob1 😂 yea the chalk lines are a thing of the past now, but tbf still have their uses outdoors where the chalk doesn’t matter but you can’t see a laser 😂
Also would have done exactly the same with the downlights.
It’s not often the joists allow for them to land properly.
Would always do what looks best and ensure the shower one is centre and deliberately off compared to the others as if they are slightly off it looks like you messed up measuring, this way it doesn’t.
Agree with E6 use them as standard then when E8’s get supplied you’re like urgh 🤣
Haha yea the E6s are still one of the best imo, yet to find a downlight I like better actually.
@@Cablesmith Yeah mate fit them as standard! Got a couple to fit tomorrow as it goes! The ONLY Gripe with them is I wish the click that connects to them was flexible like other lights just because especially retro fitting them if there is a joist or a noggin close or a waste pipe etc it can be a tight squeeze to get them in and it can unclick bar that no issues mate.
I think I must have fitted thousands of these literally over the years and only ever had 6 go wrong…4 from the same batch, I get the whole integral argument but when you find a brand that lasts & will be around for ages I don’t see the issue.
Have you seen the new A7 I think they are? Like these but smaller profile can fit in a 65mm cut out think it’s 65-73 fire rated and all the jazz you need white bezel as standard look the same but are slim 50mm profile I think 👌🏻so handy
@@JayTheSparky yep I agree with the integrated argument if your buying fittings for £4.60, but decent ones will last a very long time.
Nah I’ve not seen them ones yet, will have a look tho, I like a lot of the Aurora/enlite stuff tbf
@@Cablesmith That’s it mate isn’t it use a trusted brand & the won’t go away or fail usually.
You do get what you pay for. They are a good brand mate never had any real issues with them and for price to quality for fail ratio can’t be beaten for me really.
The old classic CPC as a switched line or used in a 2way 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣 Nice video bud
😂 cheers mate
Grafting away working hard mate another great video 👍
Thanks dude 🙌🏻
Nice one Sean and Ryan 🙌🏻🙌🏻 “av you farted?”.. Ryan”all day mate” 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 mint!! Keep em coming Sean lad 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Disgusting he is !
@@Cablesmith i could see in the video your eyes were watering mate 😭😭🤣
Another good one Sean, was that a quick glimpse of a Costa carryout I spied, nice looking down lights,so many to choose from nowadays do you have a favourite that you prefer to fit or do the customers usually buy them and you just fit what they supply
Yep it was costa 👌🏼 and yea, I prefer to use Enlite E6 Pro’s myself and this is what I usually quote for if I’m supplying them. Unless they want GU10 versions then it’s JCC Fireguards.
But I’ll fit any of the customer wants to pick their own, as long as they’re suitably fire and IP rated for the room.
Adam! Dunno what he told Ryan. Could of used 16mm box for light sw
I’ve never had a 16mm box in my van, never actually bought one ever, but yea it would have worked a treat on this one 😬
Caught my Son playing with a length of T&E earlier , I asked him repeatedly to stop and he just told me to f*ck off !
So I grounded him until he learned to conduct himself in a proper manner.
Boom Boom 😂😂😂
I’ll see myself out.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 ace 🥁
@@Cablesmith don’t encourage me 😂
After your recent hook up with Bundy... what can I say.
Other than... it's the man, the myth, the legend....
Ryan. 👍
What a star and taking over. Plus loved you playing the lacky at the start. Mint.
Oh and don't worry about slagging off others work, we all know the truth especially off camera. 😉
Anyway, cracking job and video. Did Ryan enjoy the sauna in the loft. His face said it all. Classic 😂
Haha yep his face in the loft made me laugh 😂😂 thanks for watching mate 👏🏼
Quality job as ever 👌🔥
Cheers dude
Hey buddy hope you’re doing good. What’s the pull up deflateable seat you use , could do with one of those and also was the megger your first tester !?
Do you mean this seat ? (See link)
As for Megger, the black one I’ve got wasn’t my first tester, but I’ve always had Megger testers yes, never had any other MFT

@@Cablesmith hahah yeah that’s the one. Hero! You should do a load out video !
Tidy job mate 😉👍
Cheers Gary 👏🏼
Quick one for the expert , on my fuse board the downstairs sockets are marked , living room, kitchen, both beside eachother , ok if I trip the kitchen RCD everything stays live in the kitchen, if I trip the living room RCD it stays live in living room, if I trip both RCDs both rooms are dead ,now if I turn on the kitchen RCD everything is live including the living room and vise versa if I turn on the living room without turning on the kitchen RCD everything is live in both rooms, the only conclusion I can think of is the original electrician crossed the wires for both circuits , if any of that made any sense
That’s exactly what I was going to say, crossed the legs of the ring, usually in the fuse box so easy to fix.
Is the fan not in zone 1 for low voltage bruv?
Probably yea, why what did I say ? 🤦🏻♂️
