      this reminds me the scene from "The Good Place' - [google "Ted Danson (The Good Place - Season 2)"]
      It is easy to slip to a Nihilist mindset...
      Ultimately tho it shouldn't matter if things we do throughout our life will exist or have any impact on the large time-scale of the Universe;
      I think what matters is to stay true to yourself; genuinely trying to become the *best version of yourself* while sharing joy, respect & love towards others and the nature around us.
      Happiness shouldn't come only from 'the slap on the back' as an external confirmation... but mainly from within -by feeling fulfilled and grateful for this opportunity that you & your ancestors & the whole damn universe made it possible for YOU to be right here and right now!
      PS.: WHY TF DOES YT KEEP DELETING MY COMMENT????! (2x already)

    There is a beauty in understanding that life is finite - it gives it a purpose and a value; it is a gift we should live through in any way significant for ourselves. And as things probably don't matter in the end they matter to each of us, at this moment.

    • @shaikya
      @shaikya 2 роки тому +1

      The fact we are not infinite and we may die one day yet never return removes the purpose of anything and everything. I’m not talking about what you do for this world or how you may be a hero to somebody, I’m talking about the fact that YOU won’t be conscious nor will you have memory of it if the end really is the end. There’s no reality without consciousness and there’s no consciousness without reality.

    There is an answer, there is No Time..... only this eternal moment that never changes, it is always this moment. Turn your attention inward, something is even aware that the attention is turned inward. If only for a second you feel this quiet spaciousness.... a vastness beyond description. If you practice focusing on this silence, our conditioned minds begin to quieten, we begin to be absorbed into this vast silent spaciousness, Love, Peace and Bliss are its perfume. We are this silent spacious awareness. We were never born and can never die! There are many universes and there is Life that just is. All is well in the perfection of this play which ultimately goes beyond the mind! Much love to all....❤️❤️❤️

    Fearing this end of the universe equals why the fish would fear the land if only this fish would know what fear is.
    Only we can choose not to fear it because we are self-aware.

    The very idea of accepting such fate of the universe diminishes us from thinking what lies beyond what we can comprehend. Energy is never created nor destroyed, it just makes phase shifts. For this form of observable to exist , the matter itself had to work against the unobservable part of the universe. Think about a spark. And thats our reality. Very odd way to interpret it, but its no less than an visual explanation for plasma. We create versions of ourselves in dimensions that we can't even see, intaracting with the cosmos itself just by sheer chance. How wonderful sight to behold only with our imaginations (unless we put on effort to find it)

    It does sound bleak. I mean, having in mind that us as individuals are temporary is quite sad, maybe joyful for a few. But knowing the whole existence, the whole universe is going to end at some point is also weird to grasp. It could be depressing but it also is freeing and so beyond our imagination and ability to comprehend that it doesn't see possible at all.
    However, if anyone needs comfort, I like to think that we do live in a plane that is more than 3 dimensions, time is at least one more. And leaving a trace in the physical realm is not the only thing - we do experience time as heading forward but perhaps part of us will always remain in the history, living on the same moments in a different moment in time, the one that has passed as well as the one that we are still going to observe in the future. See, I'm using the word observe as perhaps it has already happened. And who knows, maybe after it all ends, it will come backwards, we don't know if time is an illusion rather than something real. What if everything is cyclical?

    I think logically, if we die then we experience emptiness / unconsciousness, when a random infinite universe accidentally creates us physical body form that coincides with our current state now, then we will rise again and regain consciousness, and we unconsciousness will feel consciousness again in an instant moment, because the unconsciousness never knows or never realizes how much time has passed, even though our unconsciousness lasts for a very long time, for example millions of years or billions of years, maybe even trillions ... years, of unconsciousness will only be felt as an instant moment and conciousness again.

    As there 125 billion galaxies in our universe (estimated). There are likely billions of universes. If the human race learns to collectively work together and limit environmental destruction through science and engineering over the next few hundreds or thousands of years the human race may find a way to traverse universes. Anything is possible within a trillion years. I have faith in humanity.

    You speak from the perspective of a scientist.It's not just logic that has to give us answers. People accomplish great things when they put logic aside and are guided by intuition. We are more than a physical body. We are energy that will never be lost. If you entered the spiritual world, you would probably understand that man is not just matter, but much more than that. Linear time exists only in material reality. The creator of the universe is something beyond the power of understanding the human being.

    BIG assumption that there's only 1 universe 😲
    Multiverse theory is a genuine possibility & another assumption that advanced civilizations can't travel between universes, comparably but different to how they would between galaxies.

    Ok, so the universe will end in however many billion years. A universe spanning space utopia from now till then is still pretty blomin good. (Yeah we don't have the tech yet, but we will very soon on cosmic timescales)
    Slowly evaporating black holes surrounded by emptiness, might sound bleak, but ideal conditions to run really efficient computers. You could have vast empires of virtual minds living around those black holes.

    The notification for this video came just at the right moment when I was studying the concept of entropy and entropy generation. And just as the idea that if entropy is ever increasing and entropy generation is always positive, it means that the available energy of the isolated system (Universe) is decreasing. Which means the Universe is going to come to an end, with no available energy.
