You don't need to put Teflon tape on the threads of the hose adapter there is a seal built in to it. Also you need to use a fuel filter.

I have a heater buddy , have had one for many years I've set my home up so a propane hose can be fitted into the house from a tank out side , so incase of an emergency the house can be warm with no electricity.. I had to use it one time for three days when the furnace quit working and had to replace it when it was getting down to ten below zero.. every house should have one ..

You should always open a propane tank all the way. There is a seal that only engages when it’s fully open.

Your fittings are sealed by compression, never put tape on the threads. If it leaks something isn’t tight enough.

It's my understanding the Mr. Heater units have a built in filter which is why there isn't room for a filter AND the 1lb can inside that area...

I bought the flex heater and it had a funny smell when operating that I didn't get from a plain buddy heater.
Can you use a gas or wood stove fan on it?
I saw another review on UA-cam and he said you had to use a fuel filter on the hose too. Any idea why? I don’t use a fuel filter on my small propane grill with a 20 pound tank and it works fine.
Is it safe for indoors?
The flex heater, doesn't work at high elevation.ive got the big buddy,and that works at high elevation.

Loved the crash test. No pussy-footing around, no kids gloves. Appreciate some 'reasonable' abuse. Would most likely survive a fall from a tailgate and thats a good thing to know.

Never ever put sealant tape on a compression fitting it will cause a bad seal.
LMAO... you destroyed that anti-tip throwing it around... GOOD JOB... and why would I hook up the cooking unit too the heating unit and have to turn off the heater to cook a meal on a cold day?... that makes no sense...
I have a buddy flex with the cooker they probably have it like that because that cooker puts out an insane amount of heat as well

put a splitter on the tank to run heater and cooker at the same time, this is a real p.o.s.
DO NOT BUY ONE! Mine goes off after 10 minutes. Farm and Fleet wouldn't take it back with a receipt the next day cuz it was used
