Nicely done, I like how this is direct and to the point. I played this but never finished it and after seeing this, it’s not hard to see why. It seems if you aren’t already a fan of the material in licensed games, it’s much easier to notice their flaws. There are still some nice touches here though, like how available ammo in your weapon and its magazine are integrated into it the weapon itself via built-in displays.
It's not a bad game by any means, it just doesn't have that wow factor to make it stand out.
Another detailed, fair review! I've tried multiple times to get into this game but can't. I found the shooting mechanics not very satisfying and the mission design fairly mediocre. There are so many other more enjoyable Star Wars games I'd choose over this one.
Looks like you had a very similar experience to me.

I have the PC version and it plays awesome and looks so crisp on a 1060 6GB card. This version isn’t bad at all.
I'd be interested to see the difference on the PC version. I'll have to check it out.
Never owned an Xbox, but it turns out I played so many Xbox games on PC. Republic Commando, Lost Planet, Halo (though I knew that one was from Xbox) - to name a few. Green boi had quite the library

This is one of my favourite games that generation, absolutely adore it. But I love Star Wars and the Clone Wars so was fully sold on the whole thing. Its interesting to see an honest review with the SW goggles off.

One of the few games i have finished in all difficulty setting, in a row... sadly, the PC version is very buggy. Where'as, the Xbox version is not!
This game needs not only a full fledged Remake. But also Republic Commando 2 needs to happen!!

Nice review, I assume you played on original hardware ... I wonder if your opinion on the visuals or overall experience would have been better if you played it on the XBOX One X with the enhancements they made??? I’ve been meaning to check it out but haven’t had a chance.
I did play on Original Xbox, just to make sure I was getting the original experience. I may install it to my Xbox One X and see how it is.

At least the prequels did get some decent games.
And two great if not decent animated shows. 2d clone wars and 3d clone wars.

Otherwise you play on an unmodified Xbox .
I play on a TSOP Xbox 1.1 xbox, it is so good with an SSD 500 GB inside lol!!
I play without mods. I'm not handy enough to try and mod my console.

I loved this game when I first played it back in 2017. I played the Xbox version and recently replayed it on Xbox one. Still fantastic however I admit the game’s enemies are very ‘bullet spongy’ which drags encounters longer than needed and you don’t carry a lot of ammo to compensate.

You couldn’t have described this game better. Also it gets too much praise at times. Nostalgia goggles are a real bitch sometimes.

Yep, this game was clearly rushed. The Assault Ship chapter feels like a late game part. And the ending is a cliffhanger. But I guess they wanted to release this game in time for Episode III, because that was one of marketing features of the game, a prelude to Ep. III.
