Sometimes, when I'm depressed and want to give it all up, put myself to sleep once and for all, I put on this song. Joe screaming 'There is light in this world I fight for' is enough for me to get back to work, quit the noise in my head, and believe that there is meaning to what I'm doing
I feel you there 100% Literally felt that way last night until I played this. Another one of my favorite songs of Gojira's I play is "the way of all flesh" sounds so primal and the lyrics are fucking intense.

Still here after all this years. You cannot call yourself a metalhead if you dislike Gojira. This track is the epitome of what we, metalheads, are... It is not a matter of musical perfection (even if it is), it resonates deeply, physically. Gojira is a gift.
I saw Gojira live for the first time in 2001 in Lyon, France. They were opening for Machine Head. That day I told my friends : "The opening band was even more brutal than MH!". That's how I started my journey in Gojira's music.
Nice! I hope to visit Europe next year and I hope to be able to see Gojira live in France (Lyon would be amazing) if they're on tour in 2020. Great story by the way, my journey with Gojira's music keeps getting more intense! They are awesome.

And the rest? Just break that low string my guy. Let it rip. Let it flow. Gojira guitar riffs are rather simple for this reason, because it works this way. This is my take on it
If you watched from the US, you were treated to the band's volume at a barely perceptible level and the announcers talking inanely throughout the entire performance.
The only thing I hear when blasting Gojira is titans emerging from the oceans and tearing open the skies, creating apocalyptic storms around the world. Never heard a more powerful sound come from a band!

Greg Gotti Metal is like any other genre of music. Some of it is easy to play, and some of it is technically terrifying. Pigeon holing is shitty for sure, but people who think that the metal community is devoid of easy to replicate music than they're just as silly. :) Either way, to me the technicality of music is irrelevant. It either resonates or it doesn't, and I think that that, more than how hardcore the tab is, is the true testament of how good a song is. Personal preference and all I guess.

There is light in this world I fight for". Ca me libère, me vide et me comble à la fois. Encore désolée pour ce long texte.

An absolute pure, raw, unreal, incredible and mind blowing experience. Amazing talent and tremendous emotion. You feel this song in your core. It gives off this feeling of overwhelming power, that is hard to truly describe. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs ever.
Man I saw these dudes live with Mastodon a few years back and I have to say it was maybe one of my favorite concert experiences. I don't think I've ever seen a live band so ungodly heavy in my life.
The song tells the story of someone's difficult journey to find themselves and break free from societal pressures. The lyrics show their frustration and struggle to fit into a world that doesn't understand or accept them for who they truly are. They realize that trying to conform to societal expectations has hurt them deeply and made them deny their true self. But, in a moment of courage, they decide to embrace their natural instincts and reject the constraints of society. This transformation allows them to reclaim their true identity and free themselves from the burden of others' expectations. They find peace and empowerment in being themselves, without owing anything to others. The song is a metaphor for embracing one's true, untamed self and finding liberation from societal pressures.
"Uh, bad news, guys. We can't afford a wolf. Really, we... actually can't get our hands on one at all even if we could afford one." "Well, that sucks. Any alternatives?" "My neighbor has this dog..."

2:57 this part single handedly gave a new meaning to the word 'heavy'.

Jordan Mull deep lyrics? lmao, dude their lyrics are cringy. Look at "Global Warming", those lyrics are so terrible.

I love how the music is so hard core and then there’s the dog, I love it so much 😂😂❤
The song tells the story of someone's difficult journey to find themselves and break free from societal pressures. The song is a metaphor for embracing one's true, untamed self and finding liberation from societal pressures.
what a song
Saw them in Madrid.
Was the Birthday of the bassist and we have sang for him the days birth.
Was awesome.
In 2018.
Most Metal Dog Ever.
so brutal..
iwtmltyb a wolf's a type of dog
Mr pickles....
Love their unique style, big presence, multilayered breakdowns, and hope he keeps up with the raging vocals!
"Uh, bad news, guys. We can't afford a wolf. Really, we... actually can't get our hands on one at all even if we could afford one."
"Well, that sucks. Any alternatives?"
"My neighbor has this dog..."

I'm fairly new to Gojira but easily one of my favorite musical artist ever so far
Was ne Band, bin 52 und hab bisher in der musikalität fast nichts bessers gehört, und das will was heisen. Perfekt.
Can't believe just started to listening these guys can't get enough I, hooked. Randy from l.o.g. Loves these guys which is why I started to listen
Never listened to this band before. But holy shit this is so good. The lead riff in the verses is mesmerizing.
Great!
I Had Covid for 2 weeks, and the only good thing that Came from that experience... Was finding this Song!
Holy crap, I have never heard of this band before and they ROCK!
I have to buy all their albums.
yup.. just found 'em too...
needless to say i've emptied my nutsack completely.
If so, the first album i suggest you to buy is The Way Of All Flesh
just stole all of it.
Yes. And start with Terra Incognita and work your way up. It gets better and better after The Link.
Nah, they METAL lol
Guitarist&Drummer=GODS!
ich an a DNA genetic synced absolutist so...
its , ["'inside of us'" not "'inside us'"] !
For all of the months I've listened to gojira. I've got to say. This is my all time favorite song. Idk why gojira songs can make me so emotional.
This is the only band I can take the screaming vocals from. It's kinda tasteful
It's not screaming, it's growling :)
Evan Brown Six feet under, now that's growling. but I agree.
Im kinda partial to Insomnium too though
Metalknight1981 Iced Earth, Gojira, Testament, Huntress, you know hard hittin' metal without all the screaming.
Gary King Opeth ain't too bad in this either. ;)
Watching them play this live was so surreal. Truly nothing like it. They put on such a badass show. Can’t wait to see them again. 🖤
The guitar riff in the verse section is so goddamn infectious and catchy. Always on my mind.
One word "Beautiful" and I'm a very old metal listener. I love them
