I painted Gojira artists in my highschool art class, taught my teacher of them. He was Vietnam vet, and cancer survivor. Unfortunately got cancer again and died 10 years after my class. He gave me an A on my crappy drawing of Gojira though even though I'm absolutely terrible at art. I miss the guy and I miss those days.

i can sort of explain it because i feel like i understand it in my own way. when im full with emotion and grab my guitar to write, there is a cry inside my mind that needs to be heard. can be as simple as that riff in the verses but yet its so beautiful and emotional. And the rest? Just break that low string my guy. Let it rip. Let it flow. Gojira guitar riffs are rather simple for this reason, because it works this way. This is my take on it

I saw Gojira live for the first time in 2001 in Lyon, France. They were opening for Machine Head. That day I told my friends : "The opening band was even more brutal than MH!". That's how I started my journey in Gojira's music.
Nice! I hope to visit Europe next year and I hope to be able to see Gojira live in France (Lyon would be amazing) if they're on tour in 2020. Great story by the way, my journey with Gojira's music keeps getting more intense! They are awesome.

Greg Gotti Metal is like any other genre of music. Some of it is easy to play, and some of it is technically terrifying. Pigeon holing is shitty for sure, but people who think that the metal community is devoid of easy to replicate music than they're just as silly. :) Either way, to me the technicality of music is irrelevant. It either resonates or it doesn't, and I think that that, more than how hardcore the tab is, is the true testament of how good a song is. Personal preference and all I guess.

Cspandrums. I am a 54 year old from Texas. I have been listening to metal since I was 13. People who don't appreciate metal or dislike it are people who refuse to see it's benefits. During my life when I had hard times, I turn on some metal and it never allowed for depression or suicidal thoughts. It motivated me when I needed to get off my ass. Metal also has the deepest and intelligent lyrics of any form of modern music. However I notice most of the people out there like bullshit music because it is more simplistic. Metal is too extreme for them. So that is why they looked at you like you was crazy
