One of four half barrier crossings, all located within 1.1 miles of each other, near the village of Turves in Cambridgeshire. Three of the crossings are known as Three Horseshoes No1, No2 and No3, and the other as Burnt House. 'Three Hose Shoes' signal box is located between Burnt House and Three Horsehoes No3 crossings. This crossing is between Three Horseshoes No2 crossing and Burnt House crossing. Trains can be seen approaching heading towards Peterborough as the line is very straight. Due to the significant angle of the road over the tracks, the crossing is very long in length, and there are two 'narrow' type warning lights, both with long shades on all the lights.
