DA2 has some pretty awesome and loltastic dialogue especially if you play as humorous/sarcastic Hawke :DD
@@poppy7899 I kind of miss how fun and goofy DA2 was, I hope we get more silly moments like that in Dread Wolf.
@@jungtothehuimang I second this. I also hope that in the next game it will be easier to play different kinds of personalities. I really like how much dialogue changes in DA2 depending on what kind of Hawke you're playing.
@@poppy7899 god me too! DAI was so limited and tbh it kind of felt like even if you chose negative options it didn't matter as much. DA2 felt like the choices really mattered imho.
Also I hope dread wolf goes the route of not locking romances behind gender barriers. It's so goofy to do that I hated that about DAI. I like that you can romance anyone regardless of gender in DA2 (well mostly). Honestly even though this game is a bit dated now it really does hold up so well. It's such a neat game. And who knows maybe we will get to see Fenris again in Dread Wolf if we get lucky!
I actually prefer companions having specific preferences/sexual orientations than everyone being playersexual. Idk, I guess the characters just feel a bit more real to me that way. But in that case there needs to be enough options for everyone. DAI did try, but for example a straight female elf has four romance options whereas gay/lesbian Inquisitors have only two, so not exactly fair. In DA2 it makes sense that everyone (expect Sebastian - I totally forgot about him) is playersexual 'cause there aren't many romance options anyway.
I really really hope we get to see Fenris in the new game! And Dorian. Both appear in comics that take place after DAI (and Dorian in Tevinter Nights novel) so I keep my fingers crossed.
I never finished dragon age 2 so I never realized that hawke released Corypheaus. Also, I never realized Anders betrayed everybody this drastically. I romanced him I believe on my first playthrough. But in my head for some reason I thought it was cullen who I romanced? So I am still confused about that. It must have been anders though. It was a long time ago though so I don't know. I got to the part of fighting the Qunari leader dude and stopped. So I never finished. Also, the brother turns on you at the end? That seems crazy to me. You are family.
Yeah Hawke had to break the seals of the prison where Corypheus was 'cause that was the only way for him to escape the place. Too bad Corypheus didn't stay dead after the fight with Hawke... lol That fight wasn't fun 'cause I only had Fenris with me the whole DLC (it was the only way to get all the Fenris' comments). As for Carver, I roleplayed my Hawke so that he didn't have a good relationship with his brother (I didn't take him to the Deep Roads so he became a templar + I took the rivalry route), but in the end Carver does stand with his brother.
They all look so good! I’ve never played DA2, but this play through looks different than the others (fenris looks great!)… is this a mod of some sort? Or this how the base game looks when played with better graphics?
I did play with the best graphics possible but it is heavily modded. I used for example the following texture mods: Dragon Age 2 Ultimate HD, Unique Face Textures for Companions, At First Sight, No More Bloody Teeth, Fenris Blue Wraith Appearance, Hair Tint Fixes, HR NPC Face Textures, HR Fenris Armor, Hawke's Favor HR, Fenris HR Lyrium Ghost and Blue Wraith Armor. All can be downloaded from Nexus.
Is there no cutscenes when fenris returned after leaving hawks for 3 years??
As far as I can remember ACT3 Questioning Beliefs (1:30:49) and Anders' comment (1:01:49) are the only times Fenris leaving Hawke is mentioned somehow (not sure if there's something in the Legacy DLC since I always play it very late in the game --- edit: I only get 2:01:05 when they have officially reconciled). After that cutscene where he leaves Hawke you still have him in your crew after it just like any other time.
@@poppy7899 shame it would have been cute if there was reunion scene from them after 3 years. It looks like it would have been an important plot for it to not have a scene of this.
@@synthetic2242 I agree. And to be honest I would have been fine with it if after leaving Hawke Fenris would have been away for a while and not available as a companion.
@@poppy7899 i do remember a scene from a game in the past. I can't remember the title but there was a party character that had to leave for a solo mission in the story, but his character is still with the party when going on missions.
I know I'm rather late to commenting, but I thought Thrask only took Hawke's love interest if Bethany and Carver were both dead. How did you get it to where they took Fenris while Carver was still alive?

I disliked Anders from the beginning; I'm only sorry that Hawke had to be the one to end his life. On a happy note, I adore Hawke/Fenris!
I'm not sure what to feel about Anders. I don't hate the man but his final decision, it's too much. My Hawke has killed people for less so I don't think I will ever let him live.
I don't really have a problem with what he did at the end. I'm not sure that I agree with it, but I could see him making the decision he did, and I think that there's a case to be made that it was morally defensible. My only problem with him is that he's okay selling someone into slavery simply because he doesn't like them personally.
I always wondered about anders romance where you cast him away instead of having him stay
While I have no problem killing Fenris after he betrays me.
