What a beautiful heartfelt review. I am a mega ELVIS fan so your review has got me so excited but also ready for an emotional rollercoaster!!!!
    ❤️⚡️❤️
For sure… you will always get folks who like to be negative about ELVIS and Priscilla. Shame, especially as she’s still alive and can tell her story, and has and still loves him with all her heart! I think that should tell us all we need to know about there relationship!
    Thanks again xxx

These are rather complicated matters...Many people say that Priscilla had to understand how Elvis was so she should have accepted both the good things and bad things. On this we all agree, love works like this, but I don't think it is very easy to accept behaviors of a certain type such as excesses or continuous betrayals only because our man or woman are Elvis! Priscilla married Elvis man and not Elvis legend. I am also a SUPER fan of Elvis, I became a fan when I was 10 years old and I am still a HUGE at 55, without ever having a flexion or rethinking so, for us, Elvis is untouchable, a superhero, a non being human, but in the daily life things are very different so I don't feel I can blame Priscilla as many do and I speak as a man! After all, they were, and they still are for Cilla, their business ...

Your comment is great and a joy to a not so young Elvis “fan”.
I too feel this movie will be the rehabilitation of Elvis. It will do him justice after years of caricature impersonations and Las Vegas weddings props. Elvis had become a cartoon like figure, a one dimential image.
His greatness and musical and cultural significance however is unmeassurable an goes back to 1954 when Elvis, Scotty and Bill made history. Blurring the strict line between, so called, black and white music he broke down the doors for scores of artists to follow. He set the benchmark. Nobody ever sang like that, moved liked that, stood like that, walked like that and talked like that. So outworldly liberal and loose.
Like a prince from another planet. He changed everything. He changed everything. His story has grown to almost biblical proportions and he could have start a new religion if had want to. And in a way he did.

I'm super excited too for newer generations to realize not only how amazing his music was and him as a person but extremely excited to see how he really broke cultural and racial barriers musically and personally. The weight of that should hopefully shake down this whole crazy untrue racial narritive the media has been feeding & fueling over the last two years.
This movie should be a big win for everyone!!
What Top Gun Maverick did for resurrecting and or exposing true American values I believe this film will do the same. The timing couldn't be more perfect. And Austin Butler was born for this role!!

You hit it spot on for me. Still prossesing the film in my head after seeing it last night. What a amazing ride it was. Everything...costumes, cinamatograph, stunning. All the cast were great but Austin Butler embodies Elvis, he must win a Oscar for this. The music was spectacular of course. Just a great roller coster of a movie. It HAS to be seen on the big screen.

I saw the movie twice already and it is very exciting to finally have an Elvis worthy film. 45 year's we had to wait for this.
The fresh take thru Parker's eyes was very clever. And yes Austin Butler has absolutely knocked it out of the park. I hope it will do very well and that it will create a big new wave of young fans. And Elvis Lass, I can't wait for your review of the film, as I always enjoy your take on thingd related to ELVIS.

I absolutely love Baz Lurhmann movies and when I knew Baz was the director of ELVIS immediately I thought we are going to see something fabulous and Wow! This movie exceeded my expectations. It’s been a long time I have felt so emotional, so captivated, so in love about the whole aspects of a movie and it’s actor. When I finished to see the movie for the very first time (I have seen the movie 12 times in the Cinema) I thought I was walking on air. I felt and still feel so emotional, fascinating for what I just saw every time. It really captured the humanity, his soul, the sadness, the tragic along with wonderful performances and moments of a great performer . What can I say about Austin Butler how a wonderful actor, so professional and talented who was immerse in body, spirit and soul of that beautiful and magnificent artist like Elvis Presley. We are going to have this on HBO Max, On DVD and about weeks ago in digital. I have not been the same since June 29, the first time I watched the movie and continue to see it, last Saturday was my recent view in the theater. Thanks for your emotional and beautiful review. It is one of the best reactions I have ever seen lately. 👏🏻

I was fortunate enough to actually see Elvis in concert 5 times. Chicago (1) in 1972, (1) October 1976 and (1) May 1977…. Las Vegas Hilton August 1974 (2), I remember being in the elevator numerous times with his Dad, Vernon at the Las Vegas Hilton. I’m going to see the movie Friday, June 24th. I hoping that the movie will be the best representation of Elvis to date, I believe it will be. Thank you so much for your review. I’m 64 now and it seems just like yesterday when the bulletin came across the TV. Take care!

All this anticipation is killing MEEEE! I'm actually having palpitations because of the excitement of the movie; not a nice feeling though at times. I've been constantly on yt, watching anything I can find on all the new vids generated from the movie. Well all this excitement has caused anxiety in me, hence the palpitations & headaches. Then, I'm also rewatching all the old vids, movies, documentaries, which I had seen throughout the last decade when I became obsessed with Elvis, researching everything I could find. It has become a major, Elvis craze! So by now I feel very exhausted because I obviously can't rest well & it's affecting my concentration, I feel light-headed & not sleeping very well. BUT I know I'll start to recover because I'm seeing the movie on the 23rd! Yayyyyy can't waitttt, (I hope I don't hyperventilate), & I'm also looking forward to a big calm down getting back to feeling normal again. I'll be watching the movie several times as well, ahah :) Wishing everyone, everywhere, a WONDERFUL & THRILLING experience of the movie, ELVIS! ⚡♥️⚡

Damn you have tears in your eyes I am shocked. In the first 90 seconds, I wasn't sure whether you were going to like it or not cuz the movie has got polarizing reviews after Cannes but even the critics who didn't like the film praised Austin. There are a lot of veteran actors coming up with some strong performances at the end of the year so the competition this year is much more cutthroat and tougher than it was in 2020 and 2021. If the film is a blockbuster hit...he stands a really strong chance at least a nomination.

Can't wait to see the cultural impact! I've also been blown away by the trailer responses from EVERY cultural background, it's hopefully gonna reunite us as Americans like Top Gun Maverick has! That's my hope especially since music brings us all together and more so because his music crossed so many genres. Bravo on the review!!

I watched the film on Saturday and absolutely LOVED it! I was almost in tears at the very start when An American Trilogy played as that was my Mum’s favourite Elvis song so having that be one of the first you hear in the film really hit home for me. As far as the acting goes I can’t praise Austin Butler and Tom Hanks enough, they were incredible! Just saw the movie it was in my opinion the best movie about Elvis’s life , I thought the actor did a really good job portraying Elvis especially towards Elvis in late 60s and 70s,Las Vegas concerts secession was unbelievably well done. So sad what he had to go through to pay the price for fame,I just wished they would have done a bigger clip of his concert in Hawaii being my favorite concert from Elvis , besides that I will go see it again such a amazing well done movie

I loved the movie and agreed with all of your review. As an Elvis fan, I'm curious if it made you want to seek out more of his music, and/or film footage that shows you more of the real Elvis? The 68 Comeback Special and That's he Way It Is are great starts for both.
