Disturbing that they packed the audience with what seems to be a sea a adolescent females. I do not spot one male in the audience. Again, disturbing.
Not that it should matter, but there were quite a few male identifying people in the audience. There were people of all ages and genders. BUT even if it was an audience of just 'adolescent females', there wouldn't be anything wrong with that like you seem to be implying.
No one stopped the male population from coming 😂 stop acting like the audience isn't full of proper adults.

As a Gay Male, “it does matter” that this “mainstream” movie should include “representation” for the sexual identities of its protagonists. Perhaps, its primary target audience has changed because of its unexpected success. However, although it’s primarily a silly and romcom, there are very adult themes about male/male sexuality and living in 2023 that are central to the story. Happy to see that the movie has great cross-over appeal, but there is something, uncomfortably voyeuristic about Boys’ Love, teenage fan-fantasy that I do not want to share. 💘
