I thought Yarde vs Buatsi would be a relatively easy enough fight to make, but it appears not. Real shame. I was really looking forward to seeing this fight happen.
Well said Frank. Always had a lot of respect for Barry and his family because he was s local hero growing up. What happened to Carl was a disgrace. Getting into a ring to fight when you haven't been paid for your last fight is not on. Carl would have been a world champion without Barry and sad he would say that publicly
The best chin in boxing is the one that gets hit the least.
How anyone can think Fury is a great boxer watching him get clocked time and time again is baffling. Yes he gets up but each time he gets up he leaves something in the ring.
Look and listen to Lennox Lewis these days. A lot of people said he was boring, said he was too defensive when he should be 'getting stuck in'. In interviews today Lewis is razor shape, perfect speach, eyes wide and alert. Compare that to Bowe and Holyfield boxers that 'got stuck in' they slur, fumble words, shuffle around. Far too many punchs to the chin.

Fury is a shot fighter, Usyk will make him look slow and uncoordinated. I won't be surprised if Fury resorts to cheating in the fight as he gets embarassed by Usyk. Furys legs have gone, and yes his chin isn't good any more. Ngannou didn't hit Fury hard, he clipped him and down he went. Ngannou hit Joshua harder - the Joshua that isn't meant to have a good chin - and he didn't budge.
Fury has a lot of cheer leaders and hype - 99% of his hype is aorund 3 fights with arguably the worse heavyweight boxer in recent times Wilder. Wilder dropped Fury several times, even though Wilder has close to zero boxing skill he still got to Fury, so did Ngannou - who had zero boxing skill.
Usyk has probably the best boxing skill in a heavyweight in recent years. Fury will find it out. End of.

A chin is good when you don't get knocked down. Its the heart that gets you up. Tyson hasn't got the best chin but its not the worst either. One thing Tyson has in buckets is heart. To keep getting up after being floored is very impressive.

Haney has always been a weight bully, garcia was far more drained and suffered more in the weight cut, haney dehydrated to be 5ibs more than garcia on fight night, talking a about how big garcia looked on fight night, haney looked a lot bigger. Garcia almost killed himself to get down to 140ibs for tank and haney fights.

Their fight night weights have not been released or confirmed. Ryan said he weighed "about 160, maybe 165" a few days after the fight. Haneys camp haven't confirmed any weight. Also putting on more weight in a short space of time can have a detrimental effect on your body, especially after a very tough cut. Ryan can make 140 he just decided not to.
