"I'm So Proud Of You Papi" - Hard-Working Dad Surprises Daughter With First-Ever Home

A proud daughter immediately burst into tears and told her hard-working dad she was proud of him when he surprised her with news he had bought their first home. Modest Victor Rodriguez, 42, from New Jersey, sees working as a deli department manager from 6am until around 8-10pm as simply providing for his family - but his wife of 24 years Rosetta, and their daughter Brielle, 11, always recognized how hard he had been grinding for them. Before the pandemic, Victor - who goes by Vic - had been looking for his family's first home, but the "overwhelming" process and a lack of funds meant he decided to stop the search and keep saving. Fast forward to December 2022, and Vic's landlord informed him and Rosetta their rental property would soon be sold, which kickstarted their search again. Brielle was present on the new home visits with her father, who had one motto: if she liked the house, he liked house. But when Brielle came across a home she "loved," Vic said she immediately told him, 'I know how much you're trying,’ which made him put in a bid. Unfortunately, Vic lost out. A few months later - along with a few more house visits - and Rosetta's cousin, who has a real estate license and had been helping the family, informed them Brielle's dream home was back on the market. Vic and Rosetta put in another bid, this time winning the home - which left them to plan how they would surprise their daughter with the news.

This really hit home with me. Years ago my dad retired from the airforce. We finally moved back to the states and dad wanted nothing more than to buy a house for his large brood of kids, seven of us, plus mom. We wound up spending time with one relative after the other in rural Wisconsin.. I often heard my mom crying privately while my dad consoled her. "This wont last forever honey" hed tell her. One day my dad piled all his kids into the car to go to the ''store" . Instead he drove to this beautiful country home, on five acres and a pond. We all knew it was home...we all ran out screaming in happiness...ill never forget my dad holding my crying mother. That house saw seven kids grow to maturity and leave, one by one, for a life of our own. Mom and dad stayed married their entire lives. Much love to this man, his wife and daughter.

I spent some years in prison.. from my teens to almost into my mid 20s.
I knew what i wanted to be when i left prison. I wanted to have a truck, a tool a box and have the knowledge on how to use every tool. Fast forward. I own a home, have kids, i am married.
I remember when my firstborn was soo excited to have her own room😢. (We lived in a 1 bedroom RV).
Now! We have acreage and land, i have a shop and i continue to work harder than ever to spend time and resources to raise a beautiful family. The bad cycle of things ended with me.❤

It amazes me that the girl understood the sacrifices her father made so that she could have a house to finish growing up in. It seems like a lot of kids and most adults don't understand the sacrifices a person makes to achieve their goals. I wish them all the best in their new home with many years of happiness.

This was really sweet. I'm glad that they found a safe, nice home to grow as a family. My favorite part of this video was when Brielle went to open the front door and had a bit of difficulty, instead of taking over and doing it himself, Victor simply helped her, then allowed her to open the door to their new home. The little things like that are what make a great parent.
