- From John and Carole Barrowman's Q&A Panel at NC Comicon in Durham on Sunday, 11/16. Someone has just asked what cool people John and Carole had on their cell phones. Carole has Gillian Anderson, and John rattled off quite a few people, most notably David Tennant, whom he ends up actually ringing up on the spot. Gets his voicemail, but John (and all us folks in the audience) leave him a very noisy message. :D Love the evil look on John's face just before he dials him. Will try to boost the audio on John's phone later to see if I get any more of what he's hearing on the phone.
I have a feeling that David gets quite a few calls and messages like this from John ☺️😄

Imagine David got it, then he checked it. His phone was on full volume, and he put the phone to his ear. He gets a friendly message, and then a ROOM FULL OF SCREAMING BLASTS IN HIS EAR.

I don't tend to go to comic cons, and actually already had plans for that weekend, tickets to a Panthers football game. But when I saw he was actually coming someplace local, needless to say, the plans changed. Panthers tickets got sold, I and I went to see John instead. :)

I was a bit fangasmic when I first saw this on Twitter! - What kills me is that actors really do call their friends by their full names! (As is noted on his phone!) I was surprised to see that John didn't have him down as Ten♥♥ or My Doctor, or something else incredibly cute! :P

At first I thought he was joking about Lady Gaga but I remembered him saying he worked with Cher before when he was on stage :)
And the fun part is, I know a certain VA that has a panel all about calling other VAs and having the room scream at the phone, lol!
John also went to Boston ComicCon last year, I didn't get to meet him though,because you had to PAY$60 FOR AN AUTOGRAPH AND PICTURE!
ToastCrossDimensions Couldn't get over how pricey stuff was at NC Comicon, being my first con, had some serious sticker shock going when I got my tix for the autos and photos and the M&G, but in retrospect, the Durham show was definitely LESS pricey than most other places, for which I am thankful. It allowed me to see what a con was all about without having to cough up the more major bucks of some of the others, AND let me know that unless someone I like is coming to one, I don't need to EVER go to another one. :)

Kim Morris I guess it just depends on how you take it, everyone in the audience got a good laugh out of the whole bit. I guess 'cause they don't do it like "look at all the famous friends I have", it's more like just real people who, due to what they do and who they work with, happen to have some famous names in their phones. :) All in good fun.
