Loved the video! I do enjoy your video's of off-roading, mud-slinging and hill climbing, but this is truly showing what "overlanding" is all about. Vehicles are great, cool to drive, fun to customize but at the end of the day, this is why we do it all!
Great video guys. Rivals if not surpasses the Japanese "solo camp" vids. I watch them to relax, enjoying the sounds of nature as well as noises produced by mundane efforts like chopping wood, opening plastic packages, prepping for cooking, all very zen like to me. The huge bonus here is that it's done out of an FJC. Love mine too. Thank you for the post.
Great video. When we camp, the fire is a huge reason for connecting with each other and nature. The labor of love for harvesting wood can be a daily activity that we look forward to.
My Asian Canadien FJ bro! Once again another fantastic ASMR Samson! Your written narrative is a nice mix of simple but wise life reminders while informative at the same time... I didn’t know bout protecting and sustaining a fire in the rain like that + tree sap! You Canadiens are smart! Lastly, kudos to your female friend... any woman out there harvesting wood in the rain with you is golden in my book.
This is one of the most simple, thought provoking and well-made videos I have ever seen on You Tube...Thank you so much for this...Looking forward to seeing many more to come!
I somehow stumbled on your channel after watching a bunch of 4WD24/7 videos, those are awesome, but this is something different, more peaceful, relaxing, just love it… Love th FJ cruiser too, a truly underrated Toyota, but a awesome vehicle. Keep doing what you do, you got a new fan….🤙🏻🤙🏻
This was such a great video thanks for taking us along for the journey. I physical relaxed by your fire. Loving and amazed by the dunking of the marshmallows... I was raised in the PNW, it makes one resilient. Great day for a natural shower -- other than the bone chill that follows 😕 but this fire..... Perfection! And then..... Your closing, exactly how I was feeling, what I was writing to you along the way as I was feeling it all 🙏🏼 Be blessed!
WoW..i 'learned' something...with the Tree SAP..That's AWESOME! Cheers Stealth Civic Lander!
I camp by myself not as rugged surrounding as yours. Beautiful, amazing area that you live in. Makes me want to camp right now! Cheers and safe travels. What was that sandwich 🥪 you made, topped with tomatoes? Recipe please
Aww thank you - I'm glad you got the camp vibe!! Also the recipe: 1 can of chickpeas (smashed) Half diced red onion Handful of cilantro In a separate bowl mix together: 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter 1 teaspoon of chilli powder 1 teaspoon of garlic power Half a teaspoon of cumin powder 1 teaspoon of rice vinegar Salt to taste Combine the paste with the chickpeas/onion/cilantro!
@@stokedtour I recently bought an FJ Cruiser, which is a car hardly to find here. And looking for information on the internet, I found your channel. And I must say that I like it. I signed up and will watch all your videos. And I hope I can disturb you in the future if I need some more information about this car. Thank you
Awesome my friend... you are a true Canadian... Unfortunately, we Canadians immigrate from different parts of the world but do not choose to be amidst nature and appreciate the true beauty which this amazing country has to offer... rather we are stuck in buying fancy cars and paying off the never ending mortgages just due to social pressures
Ahh yes, sometimes we can be pulled into that life and forget to enjoy the things in the world that we had all along. It's never too late though! I was like that at one point too
I had the side awning before the 270s came out! Just figured adding a rear one was a cheaper alternative at the time. Looking forward to trying a 270 out sometime though!
WOW :O I loved that video! I'm cleaning my trailer and can't wait to be out in nature! Thanks to your vidéo i almost forgot that here in Montréal we had 5 cm of snow on april 21 $?#$*&% LOL BRAVO :)
How are you liking the two awning setup? I'm considering exactly this, or perhaps a 270 awning but I'm concerned they are too heavy and bulky. Does this setup with a rear and side awning work well for you? cheers
That's what I thought too about the weight, and I was gonna have clearance issues mounting the 270 on my current roof rack, so I just went with the dual awning, which honestly has worked great for me so far! Since I already had the side awning, the difference for me was adding a few hundred to get the rear awning, or a a grand or so for the 270, so I just went with the rear awning
@@stokedtour Thanks mate. Makes sense to me. And they’re fairly easy to set up? One benefit is that the poles are all in there where most 270s will only have one or two integrated in one of the fold out beams. I don’t want an awning and then still have to carry a bag with extra poles inside the FJ.
Hahaha, you don't see the amount I eat bts! I'm a pig too 😎 Also, I am not plant based, but all of our meals this trip were. I never expected it to be so easy out in the wild! Always down to try new things 👍
"We don't wait for the perfect moment... because if we do, it will definitely pass us by." Words of wisdom right there.
thanks for nice vdo, keep it up
Congratulation!!!! I love it
Glad you did!
Your video production is amazing! I actually stopped the video to make a cup of cocoa and enjoyed the fire with you. Nice job.
This comment made my day

I saw your FJ on regent park. on MAY 22 2021.
Haha confirmed!
Also what camera and lens did u use? Very good quality. Thanks again
Thanks! This was shot on the Fujifilm XT4 + 18-55mm kit lens!
What kind of sandwich was that? Looks delicious
