So proud of my country and my favourite singer. I was actually in tears when I saw all these people jumping around just gave me chills plus my favourite song by Teddy. In love.
I think you got it all wrong. She went to do her concert. She realized Ethiopia was celebrating New Years and surprised them with a new year song they love. She doesn't need to know who teddy Afro is. That makes her Brilliant my friend. She figured out what they like and gave it to them. That's what good entertainers do!
i am Somali and i find it relay dumb when somali's and ethopians fight. were the same people! were himitic people! hebesha was once cushitic moving to the ethopian high lands when the semetic arabs came and mixed with them. they are are blood!
1:29 brought me to tears... all that emotions and passion that is shown... truly amazing. Im african american... i have some best friends that are ethiopian & they show me their music & i absolutely love injera now because of them
I must say that if you have never been to Ethiopia....GO THERE... That is my second home. I married a Ethiopian woman and I am so proud of her heritage and spirit. These are our brothers and sisters and the world has not begun to know the impact of such a mighty people.
The name of the song is 'Abebayehosh' this song has been sang by Ethiopians for generations, when it is New Year. Ethiopian New year falls on the 11th of September, and that is the end of our winter starting of spring season. The song 'Abebayeho' means "I see flowers" meaning since it is the end of the winter now we are able to see the flowers flourishing. This song on the video was sang by the very talented Teddy Afro for the Ethiopian Millennium celebration which was on September 11 2007.
If only I can go back to this time. My cousin girum woukd be alive and dancing during this. This song brings back so many good memories he was the first person we would see when we land. He was always responsible for making airport pick ups. We all dread going back now because it just isn't gonna be the same without his spirit here on earth. He wqs truly one of q kind soul 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
@ethiohabesh143 Oh okay. btw when I said "it's really crazy" I meant the concert not beyonce saying that it's "the best audience" she's ever had, just to put the record straight. Of course she would love my beautiful Horn African family and the country.
I am so sure Queen Bee / Beyoncé (Mrs Carter must a have a special place in her heart for Africans. What a energy , these ladies can scream..this is the Vybz Capital of the world 🌎 Africa is..the whole place was jumping and waving, screaming too
I nearly got emotional at this... just look at that fucking reaction, I just wanted to be there jumping with them AHHHH THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS IVE EVER SEEN
@Slave2zritem Thank you, It always a pleasure to chat with a very civilized Ethiopian, exchanging comments in civil decent fashion. As for history,,, I will let the historians worry about it!!!
