One of my top picks and I’m the same age as you! No I’m 56. Fuck me memory is fucked from all those class As back in the day. But I would not change a thing. It was a great time to be alive and the Mondays are my go too people for cheering meself up. Even their interviews do me. Proper working class like meself who said bollox to this working lark. Let’s try music and see what happens. And we got 4 albums of memories. Or maybe it’s remembering that I can’t remember. 😂that’s ok too. Top band. Too blokes. You could sit and have a pint with them lot any day. How many bands can you say that about?😊
This song rocks, I wish the 6 minute remix version with the longer buildup was still up on UA-cam. Local radio in Toronto used to play that version all the time, it's a perfect arrangement of the song.
This song is just awesome forgot how great this was and still is. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ the instruments on this song are amazing that guitar and keyboard and sounds I love so much. Pure memories. Love this so much.
The difference between this mix and the one on Spotify is like night and day. This version is a million times better, much more raw and the bass is turned up much higher. Mega.
Polacerbic This and Stayin' Alive were the last Mondays tracks produced by Oakenfold and Osborne. The Mondays wanted them to work on Yes Please, but they were too busy at the time (I think the fact that Factory had no money and still hadn't paid them for Pills n thrills was also a factor). Factory wanted a Mondays album out ASAP, so they used different producers for Yes Please, which consequently had a very different sound - I think that's why it didn't end up on the album.
@@lucasm3879 Chris Frantz & Tina Weymouth from The Tom Tom Club Produced Yes Please as far as I know there were no other Producers on the LP, if I'm wrong I'd like to know who else worked on the LP? ✌️

The mondays genius lies in the fact they werent snobs about the music they liked. Its like when ur a child u have no prejudice. One of their best, released after pills n thrills to little acclaim but the music fashion police had moved into grudge, the end of baggy. Massive tune though.
This ain’t on Pills Thrills though! It was a stand alone single. A glimpse of how good Yes Please could have been if Oakenfold and Osborne produced it instead of Tom Tom Club!

The Happy Mondays created music for the true party people, not the masses.
