If there is one Spielberg film that can be legitimately called "forgotten" it's Always. I love this film. Sweeping, romantic, tear-jerky goodness.

Super! Thank you for this fascinating and informative insight into one of my favourite movies.
Not only do I love 'Always' but thanks to you I now know why!
I will watch the film again with an increased appreciation of Spielberg's talent. Thanks again.

Un underrated gem. Couldn’t have said it better myself. This is a truly wonderful film.

This is one of Speilberg's most under-appreciated films, this along with Empire of the Sun, and Hook. They may have their flaws, but I would rather watch a flawed film from a great filmmaker like Speilberg, than a great film from a flawed filmmaker. They're mistakes or missteps can sometimes yield more than an average filmmaker not making any mistakes or risks.

I have watched Empire of the Sun several times. It is profoundly and extensively rich with unforgettable images that provide critical punctuation marks throughout the long story, that encompasses a full range of possibilities in life. I also had a collection of model airplanes when I was a young boy and I still remember them with fondness as an adult.
