I’ve had a question for many of the fast electric guys out here and I haven’t gotten one answer. I have been doing fast electric votes since 1986. My first model after I had my Tamaya hornet was the Acoms Wellcraft Excalibur.. Great awesome first model for someone. It had a Maruchi 540 on a three to one gearbox turning a 44 x 1.2 propeller or you could go a little faster with the 40x 1.4 propeller. It used a very very simple speed controller, which I changed over to oddly enough a Futaba 310 and I used to run that 8.4 V 1400 cells. Yup that was fast electric back then I lived in the north east so piping water into your system that was icy cold was awesome, 40 years have gone by now find myself in Florida. And you would think with the multitude of alligator infested, lakes, and water on three sides of the peninsula that I would be Racing daily. Well, that’s not the case if the ponds are not padded, green, yellow, red algae, covered, crustacean turtle alligator infested by April , By May the lake that you ran in back in March will now be an empty sandy muddy bowl filled with a quicksand like substance. I am lucky enough to have a pond next to my home that I find the largest snail shells along the edge of the pond. The pond has not yet dried up once the turtles catch the vibrations that I’m there they usually jump off the shoreline sunbathing and jump back into the pond. My pond has a very strange orange colored water and it’s not runoff and I don’t believe that it comes from the street, but if you are to ingest that water, you get violently ill number one and number two it literally polishes or takes the polish off of the copper, brilliant props and leaves them , as if you have used polishing liquid on them. Now, besides all of that, I’m lucky that this pond sticks around and that the water is so either pH unbalanced or acidic. Nothing will grow and I get to use it unless we’re in drought conditions, then the pond lose about 80% of its water and there just isn’t enough water in it to use effectively. Here is the problem in the northeast. It was great having your electronics feeding them cold water, cold, cold water, especially during the winter months here in Florida. I am affectively warming up the electronic devices because I get to the pond in an air conditioned car so the controllers are nice and cool. The motor cans are nice and cool, And the water that I’m piping in is warmer Then when we start out. Now I understand , I get it. I’ll be piping in 75 to 85° water into the cooling system and that is still below 120 130° of operating temperature It’s not effective and almost a waste of time to send all that plumbing through the boat. Got any ideas? I’m already cooling off some of the speed controllers with car fan ESC’s, but with limited air inside the box, it quickly becomes a sauna. In the dead of winter, we hit water temperatures of about 42-45F and that’s great. LOL.

Adjusting your trim tabs will give you better results than adjusting stinger up and down. I always keep stinger neutral and adjust tabs

Great Job not sure this helps but i have a delta force 29 with a 3660 3180kv running 4s TFL stinger set level and i'm getting 50.5mph on like my 3rd run with a Zipps kits Z545 prop, with trim tabs set to level with the bottom. and the boat was running wet. have a few props to test yet. and will be adding maybe a 1mm up on the stinger. so i think you are right in the ball park. not sure other people are getting that crazy speed on 4s. also for speed runs maybe try just one 4s pack to reduce weight. also my CG is at 30% .

For high speeds, you need to go up with stinger 1-2mm above neutral and then adjust your trim tabs. This will setlle transom and lift the bow. And put some big ABC prop.
