Just 2 hrs ago I finished watching MR QUEEN....oh man hand down it's one of the most funniest drama i ever watched..... I won't be getting over it anytime soon ....If you love drama with comedy ,humor , cuteness and sweet story then this is for you . I highly highly recommend it ♥️

I love "Alchemy of Souls" too. Jung So Min captures your heart, but want to give a shoutout to the crown prince. He doesn't get much time, but he's a great character - someone who tends to act like a pompous ass, but is very smart about the princes and the magical maid and gives them a lot of help. He's always an interesting character when he's on.
For now Alchemy of Souls is on a higher level. The casts, the production and effects are all wonderfully done. Lee Jae Wook and Somin are such amazing actors. They both nailed it! Waiting for the 2nd season.

“ALCHEMY of SOULS” #1 is very much deserving of the spot! I have turned on my daughter to watching this series and she can’t STOP watching. She is so very much intrigued by all the content of the series and she’s smitten but Uk’s charm and Witt. I love all the characters in this series and wish I could see season 2 immediately. 💖💖💖K-Dramas need to put out more series like Alchemy of Souls. I Love it. 💖💖💖
The Red Sleeve is the best. Such a wonderful portrayal of a royal couple from Korea’s actual history. I have seen this drama 3 times and I am sure I will see it again. Lee Jun Ho was and is brilliant.

I don't understand why red sleeve is on number 10. It was so good that it deserves the number 1 slot. After watching it I'm having a hard time choosing what's next to watch.
watch Lee San Wind in the Palace .... it was based on the same historical figure King Jeongjo, though long but worth watching. Also, i highly recommend 6 flying dragons and Jang Ok Jung.
The red sleeve is perhaps the best historical drama that I have watched. It left me very bittersweet but the story telling and the actors was worth the ending. Absolutely loved it, it was perfect. It had enough romance, comedy, politics are most of all, the characters are incredibly well written.

I was worried for a second there Snowdrop wouldn’t be mentioned. I looooved it and will probably rewatch it soon. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through!

By the time the full story of the drama came out, it was clear that it actually did not glorify killers but showed the corruption of the time.
It’s a shame many people were left with that original perception. There are so many dramas that are set in this same time period but none seem to get the amount of (misplaced hate) that Snowdrop does.
These were all excellent. Bloody Heart was the first show I found myself rewatching the episodes again the same week since the story was amazing, cinematography beautiful and the acting so on point with an all around amazing production. I'll end up watching almost all of these dramas more than once.
The love triangle between the old actors in the Alchemy of Souls stole the show. It was so funny. Also, the bromance between the 3 friends and the crown prince. I dont even notice the romance between the main leads anymore 🤣🤣🤣

It's been a good while since i've seen such great chemistry among the main casts. Alchemy of souls has one of the best casts in a drama, especially a historical one. Not to mention some of them were already close friends before even being casted. And the main lead actors hello ??? Somin is 9 years older than Jae wook but their chemistry is so good you won't feel that awkward strain. I'm not even talking romantically, just simple friends you can joke around easily yknow. Then we have the four young musketeers, i love them sm. It's like watching real-life moments whenever those four are in a scene together. And the other four old musketeers too, i can't stop laughing watching them banter 😭😭😭😭😭 AND THIS DRAMA HAS SO MANY COUPLES I LOVE HOW EACH OF THEM HAS THEIR OWN LOVE STORY !!!!!! I also love how the royals in this drama is so unserious especially seung ho the crown prince.

I love Alchemy of souls but I would have it as no 2 and the crown would be taken by Bloody Heart. So many story lines, plot twists and royal politics. The best I've seen so far. I love Alchemy Of Souls for the humour and visuals but not better than Bloody Heart in my books

Yet the "Arthdal Chronicles" is one amazing series but not given more attention, I wonder why?
the cinematography is brilliant and the storyline is very out of nowhere it's like a korean version of The Game of thrones but it is something more.

I started watching Arthral Chronicles, but found the story line very slow moving, I stopped at episode 2. That is possibly the reason it is under rated.

Youth of May is an important historical drama because of its look at a disturbing period of recent South Korean history. Drama is the key word as there are many tear inducing moments and by the end one can not help but feel intense anger towards the country's leadership and the Army and its commanders. Definitely worth watching, but be warned, you will cry. My last comment, no way that The Red Sleave should have been #10 on this list. It was fantastic, an absolute must watch!

Oh yes Dong Yi is one of my fave historical drama, followed by Yi San Wind in the Palace. Although currently I am very hook with Alchemy of souls, I thought it is for kids and boring but every episodes make me more excited to see the next. The Red Sleeve is also fun and lovely to watch.

Past historical dramas I loved are Bulgasal: Immortal Souls. And a few Chinese fantasy historical dramas: Ashes of Love, and Eternal Love.
Bulgasal is wonderful, I'm a little sad that people don't talk about this drama, it's so underrated. Alchemy is gold, the best tv show from 2022 so far.

There's so many plot twists and turns filled with action and mystery.
They start doing time jumps between the past and present as characters start remembering and / or uncovering the past.
We aren't shown the entire picture until the second to last episode.
The series does an amazing job keeping viewers guessing until up to that point. 😁

The only thing I knew about Bulgasal series going in was the Netflix trailer.
The trailer just grazes the surface on how deep and detailed the series gets too. 😁 It truly is an amazing series.

Amongst the 사극 dramas, The Red Sleeve is the standout, amongst the 현대사 dramas it's Youth of May. Alchemy of Souls is a fantasy drama set in a mythical world. It is not a historical drama. To suggest otherwise would be like saying that the Lord of the Rings was a historical drama because there was some armour and they all carried swords.
Exactly! That one goes squarely into Fantasy drama, which is not my cup of tea so I'll probably skip it.
