There is obviously a lot of hype around this car, and I was really skeptical because automakers are always throwing around buzzwords like passion and adrenaline, but the cars often end up being lazy and kind of uninspired and boring. But I think the Stinger actually lives up to the hype, not because it’s the best performance car out there, but once you drive it, it becomes really obvious that Kia poured everything they have into this car. It is really impressive and it delivers on its promise to surprise you.
So here are the basics of this car: In the U.S., you can get rear or all-wheel drive with either a 2-liter turbo four-cylinder or 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 in GT models and the GT designation is reserved for six-cylinder models. So four-cylinder models: Stinger. V6 models: Stinger GT.

I wanted a Chevy SS, then this came out and performed on par...still want the SS but knowing there is a KIA that is anywhere close is changing how I feel about them. This is a legitimate competitor.

Power of Pine Sol Actually, the SS is a better handler because of its magnetic ride control. It handles much better than the Stinger around corners but the Stinger is a more balanced grand tourer.

Ok 51k for a fully loaded Kia Stinger / can you do comparison video on what else is in the market @ 51k with similar specs or better, it doesn't have to be in the same segment of car, just what else can 51k get you in today's market wether it's sedan, suv, crossover etc... Love your show thanks

This stinger GT might get me out of my MB e-class. Not only does she look good, but all the auto industry experts have been raving about how great she drives. I hope Kia decides to build a more focused GT-S version for us car nuts longing for an rs7 competitor that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (rs7 =$120,000+), I remember r8 v8 models were around that price and I recall doing the numbers on that car because I really wanted the cheaper v8 model. I still can’t believe an rs7 costs over $120,000! I would rather pull the trigger on a new AMG E63S or a new M5 and pocket the change. I know vw owns audi, but I heard they share MANY parts. More than just the cheater diesel L4s and v6s, DSGs, and chassis (MQB???). Is that true? They could possibly get away with parts sharing on a $30-60K Audi a3-rs3, but not on anything that costs over $50K. At that price level even the non car folks would choke if they knew their porsche/audi had vw bits.

Nissan TitanWarrior you can also get a Dodge Charger Scatpack for the same price and get an equally nice interior, a better infotainment system, and better performance (better handing, acceleration, and braking).
Hard to say better performance when you haven't seen a GT fully tested, but whatever helps you sleep at night.....and I've seen the Charger interior, it is not on this level.
Nissan TitanWarrior the interior is equivalent. Both Car and Driver and Motortrend have tested the Stinger. Motortrend tested the Stinger at 0.85g’s on the skidpad and the Scatpack at 0.92g’s. The Scatpack did 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and stopped quicker. The options you can get on both cars are nearly identical. Look at the facts.

So, this car impresses and surprises because it's a Kia. That's the sentiment I hear time and again with these reviews.
Buy a 6 pot Stinger twin spin for $51 large and 2 years later trade it for ...mmm...say, a negative $20,000 -- no thanks.

You really can't compare the interior with the Infiniti Q50. The Kia stinger blows it away and Infiniti is shooting themselves in the foot using an entertainment system which is now pushing for years old. it sucks when it came out and it still sucks now.
You were doing such a great job with the review until you said that it's not on par with Audi, but it's on par with Lexus and Infiniti. I will say that if you ignore the Audi part, she's not wrong. I have an IS, and I have sampled the Q50. The materials are good, but from what I've heard and seen, the Stinger punches above its weight. I mean, the IS doesn't even have real metal trim, like the Stinger - instead, the IS makes do with painted plastic that looks like metal. I love my IS, but I am not going to deny the Stinger is impressive.
ARentz07 I agree with you on the fact that this car hits above its weight class. I really do admire the design of this car. But when I think about Lexus, I think about the totality of the line up compared to it's German rivals. And Lexus overall quality is superior to the big three.
I’ll stick with my Genesis for literally half the price.

It’s still a Korean car. I’d rather buy a brand new Lexus RX for the same price. Kia just seems cheap and it has no racing history/heritage. Koreans like to copy from the Japanese brands.
It's very unconvincing that you couldn't find a single flaw in a Kia. This doesn't seem like a review but rather like a sponsored video.
FWIW, some other reviewers have found the steering to be a bit on the "light" side and lacking in feel. But that could be said of 90% of new cars probably.

Panamera is a much much heavier & luxury oriented car. All of these stinger reviews are biased! Interior is just slight up level Optima. Twin turbo V6 makes 365HP! Big deal?! Plus its not even inexpensive! I just don't understand the hype about it!!!
+MD Tofael Ahmed So what car this good looking, this well built, this size, with this much performance and handles this good with that nice interior, for less money than the Kia? Nothing exists. That's why there's the hype. Anything else you compromise. Can get a Focus RS or Golf R, but it's smaller. Could get an A5 or 440i but more expensive. Could get something like a Chevy SS, but it's dated and the interior is poor. I really can't think of anything that is as good an all-rounder as the Stinger for the money. If you can't understand that, well it's your loss ultimately.

Toyota4Life so Lexus doesn't make four door sporty sedans? This isn't a hatchback we're talking about. That's almost 70 percent of their range. The Kia just has a better storage solution.

Its designed like the A7 and Porsche Panamera there is no Lexus design like these cars hence why no Lexus is compared to the Audi A7 or Panamera and the BMW grand coupe. This car look nothin like the foor door Lexus IS350 and no one is gonna compare them.
For 20 more I would go for the Durango SRT.

For 100 more I would go for the Panamera Turbo. Or for 200 more I could buy a house. We can play this game forever. No one is cross shopping a sports sedan/hatch against a full size SUV. Why offer such ridiculous comparisons?

50k is 340i money...
Not realistically... You're going to spend more than $50k on a 340i unless you special-order it. The GT Stinger starts at $39k. I mean it maxes out at $52k in the US, which is where a 340i without all the options might be had. I mean to even have heated seats and an actual nav system in your Bimmer you'll need $51,850 (that's the "Premium Tier").
