I'm guessing the character you're playing as ran over one or more people, and that character at the end is a family member of the victim(s) getting payback
I honestly didn't even think about it because the description of the game described a cute racing game meeting new characters and 7 different tracks so when I booted it up and played it I was surprised! I really enjoyed the game though
I don't even know the story if I'm being completely transparent. I just enjoyed the nostalgia it brought with it, some of these Itch.io games are such gems! I feel like more of them should be seen
I really like this game. The graphics, the story, the way it derails from the original description of it. It's amazing and I hope to see more of it some day🙂
I have a theory, but instead, if for the lore, i have a theory for when this game gets updated (as it's currently only a beta) In the balloon area, there is a collectible trophie, as for now it doesn't do anything, but I suspect that in the final build, this will change the ending, Perhapse collecting it will cause the monster at the end to push your kart over the finish line instead of bashing out all your teeth... probably not, though... i have a feeling that monster dosent care if we have a trophie or not
